I walked around the store just mesmerized before one of the staff members greeted me. Unfortunately, I had to limit myself to what could fit in my carry on bag. It is pricey but everything is handmade and is not cookie cutter perfect like something you would get at a big box store. Some of my favorite pieces included their plates, vases and bowls. I love that they only glaze the inside of their pieces. It creates this rough unfinished exterior with a smooth glossy interior. They have a couple different lines. Including one with more neutral colors, "raw," which is made from the scraps from the main line. No piece is exactly the same color. The store opens into the studio so you can watch some of the products being made.

Not just any kind either - one she had seen on Martha Stewart, so I know this is going to be a challenge. During our visit, I had popped in several "home stores" but none had what I needed. Either they didn't carry spaetzle makers or they weren't "the one" I was requested to bring home. Lo and behold, on our last day in Vienna we walked past WMF. They had the exact item and it was on sale. Score! I've been promised homemade spaetzle very soon so I'm pretty excited about that!

Tiger is a Danish store that sells almost everything from kitchenware, toys, personal items, party…read moreitems, and so much more. They even had Pilates equipment! It reminded me of a Daiso Japanese discount store here in California, that meets IKEA. Just like any discount stores, prices at Tiger are cheap! Many items, particularly food snacks, starts at €1,00 and run up to €5,00 or so. Fortunately for me, I needed to buy a glue stick and throat drops for my budding cold. They had them for €1,00 each. In fact, my Halls were TWO for €1,00... Even more of a bargain! If you just want to find knickknacks to bring back as gifts or for personal use, check this place out for cheap thrills.
