The bacon in the bulk buy packs is phenomenal value. I am very very picky when it comes to meat and won't eat anything with any fat or gristle. For £5 you can buy the biggest pack of bacon which tastes beautiful and is good quality without stringy fat and with rind that is easily removed for fussy eaters like me. Outside on the pavement there are chiller cabinets with large metal trays on top. These trays are individually priced - ie 8 extra large, meaty burgers for £2.99 or similar packs of pork chops, chicken breasts, chicken wings etc. These are usually on extra offer at two trays for £5 - but if you go around 4pm, they are offered at 3 trays for £6 which is an amazing saving. These offers change depending on the items on the trays but there is a good selection of items available every day. There are alos full chickens, ducks and joints of meat available at exceptional prices - and all the food is fresh and brilliant quality. The staff are so friendly and helpful - I would recommend this butchers to anyone. Especially families and certainly during this credit crunch. I also had to ask about drinks as they didn't give them with my meal and I was made to feel I was interrupting their social interaction with each other, I am severely disappointed and think that the staff care more about their social life than the customers that come through their doors. Maybe they should close their doors so that the staff are not interrupted by the annoyance of customers wanting to spend there hard earned money. *Update - I contacted KFC about my experience and to no surprise I didn't get a response, needless to say, they have lost a customer for life.
