UPDATE!!: The last two times I have eaten dinner here I have gotten very sick. I am a vegan, with a pretty severe dairy intolerance. All the food I get is labeled as "vegan" but I feel they might not be careful about cross contamination. I will not be returning. Being severely sick for 3 days is not worth the food. Disappointed... I decided to try this restaurant based on the good reviews for some variety from my usual place. I got 3 dishes takeout. The order was ready on time and came home hot, and the hostesses were very sweet and friendly. I really appreciate the biodegradable packaging. The heat level was medium as I requested, and the food was not greasy like some restaurants serving this cuisine make it. However I was sadly disappointed in the dishes I got. The pakoras were too dark (burned and dry), the tibetan curry was gummy and thick and almost flavorless (I'm a low to average salt guy, and there was almost none; I could taste no spices other than some heat), and the tandoori dish was lemony and had heat but again no salt or spices. I was expecting fresh spices and bright flavors like my favorite place in town provides. This food was overcooked and underseasoned, or the spices were not fresh. I would like to think I ordered the wrong dishes, or better yet it was an off night (although it is a Saturday) since I would hope all dishes were seasoned with fresh spices and cooked well, but I'm dubious. I ordered only veggie dishes, maybe they're better at meat? I don't think I'll give it another try since I don't eat meat and don't want another experience like this. read more

Saag paneer and Rogan Josh -- both well done, the Saag very clean and light, the Rogan Josh rich and hearty. The Kale Pakoras were a little too crispy for my taste, but they were light and not oily. We had our first meal from here last night. I say first because we will definitely be returning. The food was amazing! We especially enjoyed the Vegetable Biryani and the Napali Momos. We have been driving past the restaurant for several years and finally decided to give it a try. I am so sorry I waited so long, it's fantastic! The menu is nicely varied and reasonably priced. They offer the choice of mild, medium or spicy curry. I ordered the lamb and vegetable curry (medium spice). I'm very happy that I went with the medium and oh boy, that nearly blew my socks off. What a great find on a rainy winter evening!! Met up with family for yummy salmon pumpkin curry that was just as delicious when eating leftovers two days later, and you know there isn't much that tastes good two days later! My sister and niece have been here a few times and were able to help us navigate the extensive menu, while the owner and waitress were able to help us make decisions with regards to our food allergies. Their input was a refreshing change from other experiences we've had elsewhere. My nephews' sons really enjoyed the mango lassi & the chicken noodle soup. Looking forward to warmer weather and sitting outside on their porch to try their chicken apricot and more of their fabulous Naan breads!! read more

All i can say is, so so good! Service was great, and when your waitress asks if you'd like your dish mild, medium, or hot you know everything is made to order. Ordered the lamb chops and curried prawns. Prawns were in a curry coconut sauce with chilies and bell peppers. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection medium rare and amazingly tender. Service was friendly, food was good. I'm guessing it skews Nepalese (with the mo-mos). They were my first mo-mos in fact, and they were super yummy. We got take out, but I'd like to try eating there as well; the ambiance was cozy, and the food is always best when it comes straight out of the kitchen. I had ordered online and my order was lost in the shuffle somehow, so they only started making it when I arrived. Incredible food. We always go out of our way to hit this restaurant when we are traveling through. I was a bit confused about locations. We have historically gone to the Petaluma site but I believe there is only the Sebastopol location now (which is larger and has fancier dining but same incredible food ). We had some leftovers the next day (ordered to go) and supplemented with a local restaurant from SF and there was no comparison. The food here is really outstanding in terms of flavor. The naan is soft. Service was friendly. They were very helpful taking a phone order from the freeway and helping us time our arrival so we could pick up to go just before they closed. read more

We ordered food for essentially three people. They were open for phone in orders before the kitchen was open. Meal was ready at 12:20 pm. So they were all ready for orders upon opening. The food was delicious. If you like lamb, order the Rogan Josh. (If you don't like lamb try it) The food was all delicious. This is a different cuisine than Maragold's was so pretend you have never been to this location and try it. It is cuisine based on Northern India, Nepal and Tibet. I went to Namaste Kitchen today, and ended up just ordering the Vegetable Pakoras to-go... They looked good when I opened the box, but "good" ended up being quite the understatement. I honestly think these pakoras , along with the two delightful sauces that came with, were the Best thing I've ever tasted. Loved everything about this place. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Food was so flavorful and not too oily like other places. Highly recommend the kale pakoras and butter chicken. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian dishes for those with dietary restrictions. You really can't go wrong with this place. Only downside is it tends to be crowded at dinner time so make reservations. Wish there was a little bit more room between the tables but at least the food is awesome! read more

Namaste has been in regular rotation for us for the past few years, but we just had a really disappointing experience and are going to have take it out of rotation. The food quality wasn't what we we've been used to (food was underwhelming and very bland as if it were thrown together without much care) and they also messed up our order as well which really sucked as we don't live that close to Sebastopol, so it's not like we could bring the wrong item back. Not cool and not the most affordable food on the planet, either, so it makes having an experience like this sting more. read more

My son and I came for dinner here. We especially liked the lamb curry, artichoke pakora and bullet naan. The naan definitely had a kick with the green chilis but worked really well with the curry.
