Chili Momo
Yarn Y.

Ordered an uber eats and it all together was a reasonable food experience . I ordered the chilli momos , with veg filling and it was pretty good (3.5/5) and the malekhu fish fry , which was tasty but a somewhat small portion (3.6/5). They seem to have other options in the menu which I am expecting to try out next time

Sukuti Thulo Khasi I was told it is a dried water buffalo. Way better than it sounds!!!!!

Went with a friend from Nepal as we traversed they Dallas on a work trip to central Texas. He wanted me to try authentic Nepalese food and I was more than happy to go with an expert. Once we arrived, I let my buddy direct me on ordering. We split appetizer of Sukuti. He explained it was a form of dried water buffalo. That was a staple in parts of Nepal. The meat was firm but flavorful. If you Have ever had soft but slightly chewy beef jerky it's the closest thing I can think of to describe it. Although I am not doing it justice. It was probably by far my favorite dish and they were all good. He said it was the most authentic like his family would make. We then had momos (dumplings with chicken in a red sauce). I was not expecting much as many dumplings from other cultures seem bland, I was surprised by how flavorful these were. The main course was their Namaste Special Thali Set. I had chicken and my friend had mutton. Both meats were good (and I'm not a fan of mutton). The various sides that are also on the set (can't remember the names) were excellent. I loved the black eyed peas that came with it. I quickly ran out of rice and they happily brought more. The atmosphere was well done. A modern mix of upscale restaurant meets a sports bar. It was nicer than expected when I first saw it in the corner of the little shopping mall. There were several tvs including a massive quad tv. But they blended well without being distracting. There were not many people based on the large group in the table behind me, I do not suspect noise would be an issue. The waitress was excellent. My only issue was that it was pretty dark. I almost yearned for a flashlight (remembering not to find it so amusing the next time my father uses one to read a menu).....

Veggie curry

We arrived for a Friday date night, on our first trip to Dallas together. We've heard great things about the Indian/Nepalese cuisine in Dallas and couldn't wait to try it out. We arrived around 10pm right from DFW airport. The waiting area was pretty small especially with people coming, paying for their order and people picking up to-go orders. We waited for a table rather than a bar spot but the wait was not too long. We ordered veggie chili momos, veggie chow mein, lamb tikka masala, and mixed vegetables curry. The food came out quick and fresh! We couldn't have been more pleased with the taste and quality of our food. Even better there was live music from a young man and young woman and they were phenomenal! They play every Fri and Sat from 10pm - 1am. I would definitely recommend this place for a meal!

Chicken Biryani, Chicken Momo, Lamb Korma, Garlic Naan
Anil Y.

I ordered a chicken biryani, lamb korma, chicken momo, and garlic naan for takeout. The korma was definitely worth it, and the naan was also good. The momos were better than most in the area. However, the biryani was disappointing--the rice didn't taste fresh and was a bit hard. It could have been better. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and I'd go back to give it another try!

Kothe chicken momos

The offerings from Namaste Grill were pretty much aligned with those of the other Nepali restaurants in and around town (as I've iterated before, Irving and surrounding areas have some great ones), so I was looking forward to this. Momos (my favorite dumpling variety) was definitely on the cards - this time being of the kothe kind (shaped as half-moon and pan fried) and stuff with minced chicken and spices. The texture of the momos were great - chewy in some bites and crispy in the parts where they had contact with the pan. Two thumbs up. The chicken appetizer was tossed with veggies including my arch nemesis (bell peppers). Advertised as chicken chilli (which in cases across the border in India mean you can expect spice), but the Nepali variety I've come to find in my personal experiences alone usually have a sweet and tangy bent to them. In this case it was no different, and the chicken was moist and not overcooked. Fried rice with chicken was a bit of the let down since it was not seasoned as expected and the meat was a bit dry. Overall, a pretty good experience with respect to the food at this spot.

Chicken Momo
Keke K.

I've been to this place first time after they changed owners. It wasn't very crowded so that's nice during this pandemic. We had steam chicken Momo which came with two different sauce. Chicken momo wasn't very juicy but it was okay. Second was chicken chowmein which was again okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The flavor on this one was to the mark but we couldn't find the chicken pieces tho. Well, lastly vatmas sadheko, this one came first as an appetizer and was the winner of the night. It was crunchy. The color was very vibrant mixed with the fragrance of sesame oil and spices.

Namaste Grill & Bar offers exceptional food quality and a delightful dining environment. Their commitment to excellence makes for a truly enjoyable experience.

It just feels very manufactured. The menu is varied. If you've read my reviews before, you know that I'm a Texa-fornian, so there are a lot of places in Texas that don't suit my palate (or my waist line.) I was easily able to find a couple of things that I would have enjoyed. Based solely on the calorie count, I picked the salmon with cauliflower rice. It was a little oily, but it was good. I cleaned the plate. It's dark inside, like a steakhouse. Not for me, but if that's your thing, you would be happy. It's clean the food's fresh and if you're a drinker, there is a lot of beer. I'm not a drinker. Maybe you're asking why did you even go? Someone gave me a gift card and someone gave my daughter a gift card, so we had to use them.

They're known for massively tall "yard" servings of beer, though I didn't see anyone trying one on my lunchtime visit. They do have a good 4 pages of beers on the menu! The place has high ceilings with exposed pipes lending an industrial vibe. The menu helpfully marks vegetarian options as well as lower calorie choices. I was impressed to see power outlets along the purse hooks below the bar - if you wanted to bring a laptop and catch up on work emails, it'd be possible. Our waitress was business-like and a little unfriendly, and service was terribly slow. The food was good. Free refills on our drinks flowed freely. I tried a veggie burger which was a bit spicy and oaty. I wish I'd tried a salad! Still, I appreciated that they worked with me on reserving tables for a large group all with separate checks.
