It was demeaning and unacceptable. I mentioned to her that she was being rude, but that did not seem to change. I talked to the managers and all they seemed to say was that they were sorry. I do not have her name, but that kind of service in the 21st century is intolerable. I am appalled and encourage everyone to think twice about going there. It should also be noted I'm not the first to have written that they are rude.

It was raining and I wanted to get a bit more comfortable. It was 14 euro for eyebrow threading and lip wax. The threading was one of the least painful I've had, and it was so good that my friend decided to get her's done, even though she usually declines since she doesn't want her eyebrows to be thinner. Her's looked great also. There is a little massaging of rose oil into the area after they are done. We needed to exchange money also, and they were so helpful in finding us a place to do it. I didn't take any photos inside but it's gorgeous and very clean. There were people who came in while we were there. It's in a really interesting part of Munich that I'm glad we discovered.

After going to various places world wide this has been the worst experience thus far. The machine used was probably one of the first of its kind and most likely second hand as it sounded like it was about to die. The use of the machine was for a very limited time... 5 minutes. You would normally expect the machine to be used for 45 minutes they focused more on rubbing her shoulders and applying face cream. When clearing facial spots, steams should be used however they went straight for them with out any steam or preparation from the outside air which has left her in tears and a purple nose. Aside from this she came back home and finished what she could herself. The staff were very friendly and nice but oblivious to standards from other locations. There are other reviews that expressed the hygiene of this place which are perfectly inline with what she was saying. All in all she is not a happy camper.

I've tried at least 4 places in Munich over the years and so far New York Waxing is the best out of the 4. I've had 2 salons burn me (Senzera and another that I forget the name of), Wax in the City was OK but I didn't like that they use the wax with their fingers and once I left with very non-matching eyebrows days before a big event... I only gave this place 2 stars because I don't think I will ever stop hoping that an American comes to Munich and opens a full service salon like you find there, but since I haven't found that yet this will remain my place to go. If I were to recommend a waxing place in Munich then it would be New York Waxing. It's usually very easy to get an appointment here and I find there prices completely fair. If you're not satisfied in Munich with waxing currently or are new to the city I would recommend giving it a try.
