This has been my nail salon for 12 years!! I moved to this area and tried several nail salons that did not hardly compare to this one. Prices are reasonable and the ladies are very nice, helpful and very professional. Kathleen is always on time and if she happens to be running behind (that has happened three times) she will call me and let me know. I feel very comfortable in this salon!!! I REALLY do not like leaving bad reveiws because I know this is someones business, their livelihood but I just have to. First let me say that I LOVED my VIP pedicure. The lady that did it was attentive and pretty thorough. As I was trying to enjoy said pedicure another lady starts my manicure. I got a bowl that could barely fit both my hands filled with COLD water and no cuticle cream. She proceeded to push my cuticles with her thumb nail and scratch off the rest of my clear polish that she didn't take the time to remove and asks me to turn off the massage chair. The rest of the manicure didn't go any better but lets skip to the end. They said it was $15 for my 2 daughters (7 & 5 years old) polish change when the sign clearly says kids polish change is $5. I was told they are not considered kids and normally they would charge $10 each, when the sign says a regular polish change is $7 (for adults) so how does that make any sense? Although i enjoyed the scrub, clay, wax and hot towels of the pedi, I will not be going back. read more

I was also happy that they know how to do nail art well. She made a flower on my toe nails that was super cute. I've received many compliments so far. This is my go-to Nail Salon, and has been for 6 or 7 years. They do a great job, and they get busy sometimes, so I do recommend making an appointment. Especially on the weekends. Kathleen and Anna are both very friendly and accommodating, working me into the schedule whenever possible. Anna is my favorite for my manicure, and they all do a great job on my pedicure. While they do speak to each other in their native language, they are always polite and happy to speak to me in English. They are friendly, greet me with a warm smile, and do a great job! read more

Recently, I made my first trip to this salon for a mani and pedi. I called ahead and set an appointment because I didn't want my day thrown off by an unexpected turn-away. At the start of my appointment, I stayed quiet most of the time, as the employees were speaking in their native language between themselves. However, after about a half-hour I noticed they were quick with smiles and genuinely polite, engaging me in a conversation in English. With regard to Good Manners and Respect for their customers, this was the best experience I have ever had in a nail salon. I wish more salons would be more conscious of being respectful to their customers in this way. After all, they are making their livelihood from payments by English-speaking customers. We English-speaking customers work hard for our income, too. And, if you disrespect us, we don't feel good about spending OUR money on YOU. Therefore, we don't want to revisit your establishment--we resent it. So far, I am happy with this salon, but I probably would be inclined to set an appointment because this is a business generated by female energy, which I appreciate but it can be a little scatter brained. (I am a woman, too.) Concerning the cleanliness and neatness of the shop, it could be a little more tidy. But again, I think this is an outgrowth of the female energy that runs the place. Truly the sweetest staff I've ever encountered. Anna is hands down my favorite but they are all wonderful. Prices are so reasonable and polish selection is great. Convenient location with lots of parking. Hint- make an appointment! I'm not the only one that things they are the best! They are busy all day long My only complaint is when I get Kathy / Cathi ? sp? She is always on her phone .. Jesus Christ hang up the phone. Why have the soothing nature videos and soft music for what's supposed to be a relaxing visit - I don't want to listen to you talking a foot away from my face in another language... I just don't. She does the most abbreviated cuticle work of any manicure I've ever had. She also rushes and won't wait for the gel countdown, motioning for me to remove my hands early every time. Gets 3 stars because I spent almost 2 hours here for a gel manicure. The ladies that work there are really nice but I had my nails wrapped 20+ minutes and had to ask for someone to take them off. Many other salons make appts, and then when you show up there is a walk-in client sitting in your spot or they take time away from you to try an squeeze in a walk-in client. Not here! I've been going to a salon in Walnut Creek for 9 years that I love, but it's always a pain to look for parking and seems to be hard to get an appointment these days. Also, all my fav girls have left since they changed ownership. I decided to try out Nails, Spa and More since it's close to home and so happy I did. I've gone 4 times now and very happy with my services. Mai did my pedicure this most recent visit, and what a treat it was. She did my feet for a full hour. It was so relaxing! I just moved to the area and decided to try this place out after reading the Yelp reviews. I came in for a pedicure and it was amazing. She took her time on my feet and it lasted about an hour. It was very relaxing. She did not make me feel like I was just another customer and try to get me out the door to fit someone else in. For this service alone I would have given them 5 starts but I came in yesterday for a Shellack manicure. I wanted a dark solid color but they barely had a selection. They had 6 colors and most of the colors were a shade of pink and very light. The darkest color they had was a red which I should have gone for but decided to just get a french shellack manicure. On some nails I have bubbles on the white so it looks like I have specks of dust on my nails and on other nails you can tell where the second coat is because a second coat was not applied all the way around. Just in the spots where it looked like it needed it although now its obvious that a second coat was needed on the entire nail and on all of my nails. Some nails are darker than other because of the pick and choose method that was used. The arch part of the manicure is not sharp, it is fuzzy because it was not cleaned up properly. On some nails there is even another white soft line underneath the main white part where the clean up was tried to be done the brush must have separated. It is $20 for just a straight color, $25 for a french manicure and add $10 if you want the manicure experience. Bottom line, I will not be getting Shellack here again but I did love my pedicure experience. read more

I am slightly upset with the service. Yesterday afternoon around 3:40 pm, I walked in requesting a manicure and pedicure. The person who normally greets guests (I assume she is the owner), took a moment to look at her appointment book and then asked one of the staff members to direct me towards a spa chair. Near the end of the pedicure, I was asked to reschedule the manicure because she overlooked her two 4:30 appointments. She said to me rather than asking them to wait around, she would rather ask me to return later in the day or the following day. Due to my work schedule, I really do not have time to show up at the salon two days in one week. Regardless, she agreed to the service and I assume she scheduled me in knowing that the appointments were scheduled. Since it was slow at that hour, she probably thought that one paying customer is better than none at all and took the risk to cancel our verbal agreement. A professional would have been upfront with me so that I could decided to return at a later date or seek out another salon in order to save time. This salon is mediocre at best. read more

I had an appointment and I got there about 10 minutes early to pick out a color. I had to wait an additional hour before they even started working on my nails. She took over an hour to complete my acrylic nails. After the acrylic part dried and before she started painting them she asked if they looked good and I noticed that a few were uneven. I pointed them out and she fixed them. The paint turned out fairly nice but some got under my finger nails. She unfortunately left some of the dried acrylic material under my nail as well. I asked her for the regular acrylics with normal paint which their poster says is $30. She charged me $35. I did not understand why there was a difference in the price but I need to leave so I did not argue about it. read more

This is a very pleasant place to get a mani/pedi. Everyone is so cheerful. I love going to Jenny for Shellac manicure with matching pedicure. She is very thorough and meticulous. She takes her time to do a great job! She is more for quality and not quantity... Jenny is very artistic as well suggesting different color French manicure and lines to liven it up. Unfortunately I can't say I had a good experience. This is my first time writing a review and normally I don't complain. I usually just go about my business when I'm unsatisfied. This time, however I was compelled to warn everyone. Please don't waste your money. Cathy was so rude and defensive when I tried to point out that the gel polish she just painted on my nails was coming off with the alcohol (color on cotton). Later, she tried to "correct" it by putting on a 3rd coat of polish and a 2nd coat of top coat. Suffice it to say, that didn't work. Finally, I asked her to take it all off. I was ready to just call it a wash. Pay and go. Then, Anna and the customer next to me suggested I redo it and pick a different color....okay maybe they're right, I'll try it. Nope. Wasn't the color that was the problem. I can understand Cathy's frustration - who wants to redo something but this lady was so rough and didn't take any responsibility for her workmanship. She cut me the 2nd time she removed the polish. What?! I have never felt so displeased for a service that I paid for. If anyone from the licensing board ever audits this place I'm sure they would find this place and especially Cathy's station not to code. Shame on me for even allowing myself to be put through this treatment. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! read more

This shop is great! Kathleen, Ana, and Van (sp?) give fantastic manicures and pedicures, and I go as often as I can. They do accept walk-ins, but they come second to the appointments, as these girls always fill their commitments. I have, over the five years I've been coming to the salon, always heard Kathleen offer an alternative to a walk-in for another day or time. Even if the technicians are just finishing up and the salon looks as if it might be empty, they can be booked solid and Kathleen, the good business person that she is, will always offer another day or time. They never rush a client and their pedicures are a little bit of heaven. My toes always come out looking great. They are very clean, the spa chairs are cleaned after each use, usually right in front of you and before you get polish applied (which is why that other reviewer may not have seen the cleaning if she came in when toes were leaving the chairs), and I have never had unsterilized equipment used on my hands or feet. They do sometimes speak in their native language, but Kathleen and Ana speak English well and will engage you in conversation if you give an inkling that you'd like to join in. They are usually smiling, upbeat, friendly, and courteous. I love Van's pedicures (she's a magician). Her language skills are a little more limited than Kathy's and Ana's,and I suspect they speak in Vietnamese sometimes to make sure that Van is fully included in the daily conversations. Don't let that stop you from asking for Van, because she is a real talent. Simply ask Kathleen or Ana to translate, which they are happy to do. If it's quiet, it also gives me a great opportunity to catch up on the most current book I'm reading. It's a very comfortable shop with happy, talented people. Pedicures are $25, Mani-Pedi's are $35, which is really reasonable. Go get a mani-pedi here; you'll be happy you did! P.S., I think they have a good selection of OPI and other polish, but if you really have a specific shade in mind for a special day,let them know ahead of time or bring it in yourself. read more
