Today I made an appointment for Russian pedi and mani with nail strengthening treatment. Syuzi was so detailed, gentle and just plain wonderful. It is the best pedi I have received hands down. Thank you Syuzi!

My…read morenormal nail tech wasn't available and I needed to get my nails done for an event I have coming up. Remembering this location, I made an appointment online with Mariam for Saturday at 11am. I arrived 10 minutes early, and she was ready for me. I warned her in advanced that I'm terrified of the drill and nail file, so I would most likely flinch or make a funny face when it is in use. Unfortunately, my fear is so much worse than I thought because I was uncontrollably squirming/ tensing up, and truly just being a nightmare client. Mariam was SO EXTREMELY patient, kind, and gentle with me. She kept checking in to make sure I was okay, and would announce when the scary part was done. I was so embarrassed by my behavior, but she was very sweet. In addition to her kindness, she was fast. I got a Russian manicure with fast gel (no removal) for $85 (and a $2.47 service fee). The whole process took 45 minutes. The color came out exactly how I wanted it to, and I was very please with how uniform the shape of the nails were. FYI: There are two Beauty By Lid locations. One is for hair, eyebrows, facials, etc, while the other one is the nail salon. The nail salon location has a smaller and tighter parking lot.

The nails originally looked lovely, but it's been less than a week and my gel is coming right off my nail. I've never had something like this happen so quickly. When i get a gel manicure it can usually last me 3 weeks. So disappointed. The whole reason I got gel was so I didn't have to deal with my nails while away. If I would have known this was going to happen I would have just used regular nail polish myself and saved the 60 dollars

Amy is my Nail Queen…read more I've been seeing Amy regularly for almost a year now. She knows I'm absolutely terrified of the drill so she takes her time every time I visit her. (Not to mention that she also deals with my annoying freak outs when that dumb drill gets close to me). Her shop is located in Salon Republic outside of the mall, so there's plenty of parking. I usually go for Gel-X french tips, but on occasion we will do something fun. Every time she's done something out of the ordinary, I'm obsessed with my nails. She is very talented and quick with nail art. Amy is also very accommodating. She typically doesn't work on Mondays or Tuesdays, but one time I asked (in advance!) if she could see me on a Tuesday for my proposal nails, and she happily obliged. I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my nails since I've met Amy.
