The lighting of the photos and detail was always on point and oh so flattering. So when I saw a promo she was doing for a studio shoot for babies who were newly sitting-up independently I jumped on it for our 8-month old baby girl. I was not disappointed! I was nervous leading up to the shoot about every drool mark and rash that our baby had, thinking it would ruin the photos, and we were of course running behind and the baby was approaching naptime and was teething and drooling copiously the day of the shoot. Turns out I had no reason to be nervous. The powers of a talented photographer and staging and photo editing! We are so happy we have beautiful photos to cherish from this special stage of our baby's life, especially as her eyes are changing to darker brown and Fangting was able to capture their current hazel color, and her adorable chubby cheeks. Maddie came out still looking like herself, awkward hair and all, but the best version of herself that we all wish we could capture. Fangting was very patient and had a comfortable couch in her Mission Valley studio for us to get everything situated. We never felt rushed. She had everything needed for the photos and suggested the poses, although if we were so inclined she's the type who would easily work with your ideas. We were able to stay close to the baby, who was pretty tipper as a new sitter, and it was all very safe. One parent stayed by the baby to catch her falls and the other danced around trying to get her to smile. What would have helped is if we had brought some more toys from home to capture the baby's attention. There were a lot of interesting new things to play with and look at in the studio other than the camera lens lol. Photos came back quickly (1-2 weeks) and we are thrilled with how they turned out! As a bonus, Fangting and her husband took some behind-the-scenes video snippets and shared them with us. An unexpected treat and preview. Thanks, Fangting! PS - Yes this was during Covid times and we appreciated that her studio was still open and following safety protocols (temperature screening, masks, etc).

Not to mention, her work is stunning. All our friends and family were swooning over our maternity photos when we shared them. She has such an artistic eye and all her shots were beautiful. We are so incredible grateful she was our photographer!! We originally scheduled an outdoor maternity shoot with her, however the weather turned out to be a bit unforgiving due to the high winds and cold temperatures (but this had no affect on her shots whatsoever-she continued to worked her magic). Due to the weather, Olia was SO incredibly kind and gifted us a complimentary studio session so would get our dream shots of our first born. Additionally, she encouraged us to bring our pup to the studio session because she knew how much he was apart of our little family. Sometimes he can be a handful, but he LOVED Olia and she was so loving toward him. These made these shots extra special! If I could give her 20 stars on Yelp I would! :) Thank you Olia again for capturing these special memories! We'll cherish these forever!! SO happy we found you!

When someone steps up to serve our veteran community- magic happens!…read more I want to shine a spotlight on Juan P. Casiano from Lumetry Media, LLC. for his incredible contribution to Wounded Warrior Project's recent Employment Bootcamp (EBC) with Deloitte. Here's what makes Juan special: When I reached out (thanks to a referral from another outstanding local photographer who knew Juan as a veteran advocate), Juan didn't just say yes--he went above and beyond. He volunteered his time photographing FIFTEEN Warriors and supporting employers completely pro bono, understanding that professional headshots can be game-changers in the job search process. But Juan brought more than just technical skill. As you can see from this photo he took of me, he's not just a photographer--he's an expressions coach who helps people show their best, most confident selves. That's exactly what our Warriors need as they transition into meaningful civilian careers. The impact? Warriors walked away not just with professional headshots, but with renewed confidence and the tools they need to succeed in their job search. Juan embodies what veteran advocacy looks like in action. His company, Lumetry Media, proves that supporting our military community isn't just good business--it's the right thing to do. San Diego professionals: If you need headshots that capture not just how you look, but who you are, I can't recommend Juan and his team highly enough. BRAVO ZULU, Juan!
