Abby!!!
Stacy L.

Checking off a bookish bucket list item! When I learned that Abby Jiminez owned a bakery in the Minneapolis area, I immediately added it to my must-do list since I visit at least once a year. As I walked in the door, I felt like a kid on a field trip!!! I was immediately greeted by a kind young lady who allowed to take lots of pictures and video. It's just so cute inside with quaint sitting areas and a cute area for photo ops. There is a large assortment of cupcakes to choose from as well as macarons and even treats for your fur babies. In addition to sweet treats, there are signed copies of Abby's books available for purchase. The experience was amazing! The cupcakes were delicious! This will definitely become a routine visit when I'm in the area.

It's so pretty and fancy! The display of the cupcakes is amazing!!! The seating area is super cute and they have fun games to play for free. My son and I grabbed 4 cupcakes, 2 for now and 2 for later then sat down to eat them while we played some games. I was bummed the espresso machine was broken cause I had my heart set on a late but the cupcakes were still worth the visit. We got the peanut butter chocolate, raspberry pistachio, confetti, and coffee late cupcakes. All of them were amazing with suck creamy frosting. Not the cheap kind. This place is a great spot for taking kids, a date, or a friend. Hopefully the espresso machine will be working soon.

I have known of Nadia Cakes from all my book loving friends, so when I knew I needed to stop while I was in the area! Abby Jimenez had recently released a new book and there was a flavor and display dedicated to the book launch. There was a flavor for every pallet and each cupcake was beautifully decorated, I had so much fun selecting which I wanted to take home! The staff was friendly, providing recommendations and patience while I was decision making. Ultimate the cupcakes were fresh, moist, and extremely delicious!

Just had to stop by and see the place I had been reading about! We tried 6 different kids, the fresh strawberry was the absolute best! Service was quick, no line while we were there. Best cupcake ever!!

Ordered 4 cupcakes with my friend and they were all moist and with plenty of icing on top! The flavors of all of them were spot on and the service was so nice and patient! Will definitely be back for more cupcakes

Such a lovely bakery! They have such a large assortment of cupcakes and treats. I chose the strawberry one and it was filled with lots of strawberries and was nice and moist. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They have ample seating if you want to enjoy your treat in store. The place is clean and cute! Conveniently located close to Costco and other shopping.

I am such a big fan of Abby Jimenez that I had to make a stop here! The shop is so cute when you walk in and the workers are so welcoming and sweet. There are so many cupcake options. I've had a chocolate, cookies and cream, and the specialty book cupcakes. They were all tasty and definitely will be back! They are a bit pricey, but you know they are made with love.

I love Nadia Cakes! I stopped in before book club because we read Say You'll Remember Me so I thought it'd be fun to get the cupcakes for the girls as well. I was pleasantly surprised to find she had themed cupcakes for the book! I got some of those and a few other flavors and everything was great. This wasn't my first time at Nadia's and it won't be my last! They are a little spendy so definitely more of a treat every once in a while but I'm always happy to support small businesses!

What a delicious little cupcake shop! My mom is a librarian in Chicago, after reading Abby Jimenez's most recent book she said she had to come see Nadia Cakes - and I'm so glad she did! We stopped in to try a couple of cupcakes, but they have so many different delicious looking desserts. We went for the wedding cake and chocolate knight, both were delicious. Normally I am a chocolate person, but I absolutely loved how light and delicious the wedding cake was with the strawberry frosting. The chocolate cupcake was also rich and moist. I will definitely be back here to try some more flavors!

Really cute spot!! I loved the decor and vibes were great inside, everyone was super friendly, welcoming and more than happy to share information about the cupcakes. Highly recommend the strawberry cupcake, it was a favorite amongst us all but the blue guava cupcake was not as preferable to us. Overall, cupcakes were moist, so much flavor packed into the frosting and worth the try!

My mom and sister were visiting and this was a must try for them while they were here. We went to try the cupcakes during their April fools event. The cupcakes were all super creative and fun. We didn't end up getting any of the April fools ones but the cupcakes we did get were really good. The staff were super nice and helpful explaining the April fools menu. It's a super cute shop and the cupcakes are really cute as well!

The cupcakes were delicious and my family loved them. The service when arriving there was excellent and quick!

Okay....so I have eaten at a lot of places which have been on the food network and most are good, some are bad but a few live up to the hype. This lived up to the hype. Absolutely delicious, tender, a little on the sweet side but I like that....

Always the best quality. Delicious cupcakes - insider tip can even buy "shots" of your favorite frosting without the cupcakes!

I waited forever to get through the line. And then the cupcake frosting was way too sweet. The cake also had a funky-bad taste

Every time I…read morewalk in, everything looks fresh, clean, and beautifully displayed--it's honestly hard to choose just one thing. The pastries are consistently soft, flavorful, and not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. Their cakes are also top-tier--light, fresh, and perfect for any occasion. The drinks are just as good. Whether it's coffee or something more specialty, everything tastes well-made and balanced. Service has always been friendly and efficient, even when it gets busy. What really stands out is the consistency--you know exactly what you're going to get every time, and it never disappoints. Great place to grab a quick bite, meet with friends, or just treat yourself. When you first walk in grab a tray to your right and some paper squares to pick up items. There are pastries both forward to the left as well as to the right. In terms of service I do say the staff is busy and does not interact as much as I like but the food makes up for it. The atmosphere inside does vary. Honestly, the whole experience was disappointing. I would encourage any reader to stop and check…read moreout Uffda Donuts instead (right next door) for any sweet treats. I called late Monday morning to set up a Wednesday 7am pick‑up because I needed breakfast for a Leadership training event. I live closer to Maple Grove, which is why I ordered from that location, but since I was commuting to Burnsville, the timing was really important. The woman who took my order didn't write everything down, so the store called me Tuesday. No big deal. I was actually glad they double‑checked. But that's when I found out the online menu doesn't match what they actually sell. I wanted two dozen rolls, half cinnamon and half caramel. Turns out caramel rolls with nuts are still listed online but aren't even available anymore. Whatever. I adjusted. When I showed up Wednesday at 7am, the woman at the counter clearly knew I was the one picking up the big order. They weren't busy, but she started running around like she had no idea what was going on. She told me the rolls had *just* come out of the oven and she needed to figure out how to package them. It was already past my pick‑up time. She apologized, but I was frustrated. I asked how long it would be, and she said five minutes. I didn't walk out until after 7:15. If you commute, you know how much that throws off your whole morning. And then... the cinnamon rolls weren't even frosted. The presentation was honestly pretty sad. When I asked about the frosting, she hesitated and then proceeded to go in the back to fill a cup of their icing. I won't be using GHBC for corporate events again. The rolls tasted fine, but nothing special, definitely not worth the hassle.

Ambiance is basic bread shop, quarters were a bit tight, but not awful. This store has a walkthrough to Uff-Da Donuts too. I ordered a Garlicky Cubano $13.50 and Baja Chipotle Turkey $13.50. Both were underwhelming. Lacking flavor, really soft almost wonder bread style bread. Will not be ordering sandwiches here again.

Despite the demand and weekend rush for these donuts, there are always plenty of options for everyone, whether you're a fan of classic, no-frills options or dessert-style, specialty creations. I love that they offer appetizing vegan and gluten-free options! My kids were absolutely over the moon for these treats, and even I--someone who doesn't usually go wild for donuts--couldn't help but appreciate the freshness of the dough and the perfect glaze on the jelly-filled varieties I tried. The jelly hit the sweet-and-tart balance just right, making each bite delightfully satisfying. The shop itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of indoor seating if you want to enjoy your donuts on-site. It's the kind of place where you can linger, sip your coffee, and savor each bite without feeling rushed. Go early, go hungry, and prepare to leave with a smile (and maybe a sugar rush).
