The doctor himself was very friendly and helpful. The issue was his staff is extremely rude. The appointment started off sitting there for a few hours (Yes I said a few hours) but then again I expected to be brought back a little late, so was an issue, but not the end of the world. When I finally got back there I spent even more time waiting. Now the only bright part of it all was Dr. Ahktar spent a little more time then usual with me and was very helpful like I said earlier. From my past visits with him he has always taken the time to sit with me and discuss the issue. He does seem to care. Part of my appointment was having a drug screen taken for a specific medication I needed. His staff did not send it in on time and is causing me to pay out of pocket for the medication which is $18 a pill which I cannot continue paying without insurance kicking in (which I have)...and quickly. I called his office today and after not reaching anyone in person I had to drive up there in person. It was about lunchtime and nobody was in the office. All the doors were open/lights on but nobody was there to greet incoming customers or handle any business. After sitting down for a little bit I finally grew impatient and cracked their door to see if I could see anyone. There was a lady in the very back who came out who acted like I had interrupted her wedding and was very rude. I told her the situation. She brought me back to speak to another very rude lady. I told her the situation again about the drug screen not being sent in. She said that she had no clue when they would be able to do it and if I wanted one done quicker that I needed to go somewhere else. First off I was never loud or rude to them so I never warranted an attitude back and 2nd I had already given a drug test sample over a week ago and I am not going somewhere else and paying out of pocket just because they cant get their stuff together. Highly disappointed in his staff and the way that business is ran. I thought about upping his star review because I do actually like the doctor BUT its his practice and he needs to make sure its ran better so the score will remain a 1 star. Anyone that goes here will most likely be getting bad customer service. Even the old man who answers the phone (hugh) is a little rude and short. I understand that this job would be a hard one. Having sick customers who are in a bad mood come in quite a lot is not exactly fun. However being a professional is your job and you guys/girls need to act like it. I am going to move doctors now until his office gets a little more professional. This stinks because like I have said before...I actually like this doctor. If his office was professional then he would most likely received probably a 4 star review possibly 5. I can handle a little rudeness but this was just a terribly horrific experience.
