Nabo is an unusual place for Warsaw. It's located far from the city center frequented by tourists and from the business hubs, where lunch diners compete for the hungry clients. It's a neighborhood restaurant, something that Warsaw, in large part, still lacks. A perfect place for a family with children, but also for anyone who's just into good food. And you can tell that Nabo's Scandinavian cuisine meets the taste of Warsaw's middle class. During the weekends it may be difficult to get a table there, despite it's relatively remote location. Remote doesn't mean unattractive - old Sadyba neighborhood is really charming mix of old, communist-era bulky houses, new elegant villas surrounded by high walls and armed with cameras and few stranded, old village-like cottages. For Warsaw this restaurant seems a bit pricey, also since its location isn't on any well traveled road. It has a neighborhood cafe vibe. It is absolutely great for families with small children. There is a sandbox outside with a slide as well. Inside there is also a separate room furnished for kids providing plenty of different choices for kids to play with. I fell in love with this place just thanks to their child friendliness. I didn't expect too much of the food and it's certainly not a 5 Michelin star place but my friend and I as did my daughter all very much enjoyed the pasta with chorizo and shrimp. The portion was okay and half filled three people. The elderberry lemonade was quite tasty too. The only improvement I would have made is to serve it with some ice cubes in the glasses. I was told it was a cold drink but it was more room temperature than not. The staff is super nice and good at English too. I'd definitely come back (it's super convenient and close--- if it weren't I'd come back for the kid only but not necessarily travel through half of the city to get here) read more

Awesome place! Originality, flavor, atmosphere -- everything is present there. Oh I so wish it was just a bit closer to city center, I would be a regular for sure. This place stands out because it's different in a good, unique way. Scandinavian cuisine with all its staples: herring, gravlax, frikadeller are among some you will see on the menu. This is a family oriented, children friendly place but still trendy and fun. I was there for lunch and really hoping to make it for breakfast soon, which they serve daily before noon. read more
