The hotel itself is really nice, clean, and modern. The room was spacious and included a mini fridge - which comes in handy for longer stays. Huge king size bed with premium sheets and bedding. Love the walk-in shower with the multiple shower heads. The reception staff were generally helpful and courteous, especially the lady from Venezuela. The roof top pool was awesome! Sitting in the hot tub at night, star gazing, after a long day of hiking, is a great way to end the day. However, they don't seem to have pool deck service, so if you want drinks and food, you have to go to the bar to order yourself (this is were the fridge and Oxxo comes in handy :). Overall great value for what I paid.
There are three restaurants nearby - One on the roof near the pool, the other two downstairs at street level. I couldn't find anything else nearby (see below comments).
The only real drawback to this hotel is the location: It's in a no-mans land. It's not on the Tulum beach road, and it's not in the Tulum center, it's somewhere in between in a mixed-up labyrinth of poorly marked and dimly lit streets. Many of the streets are blocked off for some reason. We got lost twice in two days. Obviously, if you rely on cab service for transportation this won't happen to you. The location is why I am only rating with 4 stars. read more
