HAHA, two almost three weeks, I finally get my refund due. Not from her, but someone else because she doesn't have Zelle. The only reason she gets 1 star, is because that's the only way to post this crapy incident!!

We reached out to Thistle, they were 100% responsive at first and we had a productive first…read moremeeting. After we paid them a deposit, they were not accountable. We trusted them to plan and coordinate our wedding. From there things oddly started happening that were unprofessional. A few key incidents - They volunteered to reach out to our venue with a time sensitive contract on our behalf. We told them they didn't have to but we'd appreciate it, they never reached out. - All our meeting and planning notes were never emailed to us even after they promised to send them after the meeting. We emailed them numerous times to follow up, often times we didn't get a response. - Meetings were never scheduled on a calendar, leading to no shows and confusion by them as to what time it was supposed to be. We showed up to the few meetings that were scheduled, 2 were no shows. They even sent us a list of times to confirm, when the meeting time came they no showed "they mixed us up with another client" - We were promised a vendor list, we never received one but were told tomorrow every meeting. - The general theme was lack of follow up, meetings were productive but they mean nothing without action items. They barely sent us any materials. Finally, we broke the news kindly and outlined this explaining we'd like to terminate our contract with them. I did so politely as I wanted to offer constructive critique. I wasn't mad, I was simply explaining the unprofessional behavior with examples. The response from Thistle attached continued their unprofessionalism, and was insulting admitting that they neglected our wedding due to "being too busy" and proceeding to suggest other vendors. Initially, I didn't care about getting any portion of our deposit back as I wished them well and wanted them to be successful. But if you admit that you're too busy to service us, why don't you offer the deposit back? Why did you open your books to our wedding? The response was the sole reason I'm writing this review. A response back admitting we were neglected due to being busy was an unbelievable feeling as it confirmed our suspicions rather shamelessly. It seemed like they were relieved to get us off their plate after we paid. Nothing worse than saying what they did which is other people were more important, even though we paid them the same amount too. We were promised a lot, what we got in return was non communication, a email saying they were too busy and our wedding suffered as an end result. Plus suggestion of their friends in the industry to go book with which is odd. We would never work with any of their vendor recommendations, and it's ironic considering we asked them for tons of recommendations before that they never replied to. It seems they do fine by their other clients as they are busy per their words, wish we were treated with the same respect. They aren't bad people, maybe they didn't like our wedding idea, or maybe they didn't take us seriously as their other clients which is really disappointing.

When it came time to plan our wedding my fiance and I knew that we were going to need to find…read moresomeone trusted to help guide us through the wedding process because of our busy schedules, no prior wedding planning experience, and input coming in from family left and right. The single most impactful decision we made that resulted in our perfect wedding was our decision to work with Nicole as our wedding planner. From our first phone call with Nicole, we could tell how genuine she was about her business. Nicole is welcoming, approachable, understanding, and worked well with our tendency to get overwhelmed and need some encouragement. We looked forward to our calls with Nicole because she clearly laid out each step of the planning process and how best to accomplish it. Outside of our calls, Nicole would respond promptly in a detailed and understandable way to each part of our emails. She often checked in on us and kept us on track. Nicole is the exact personality of someone who can handle the million tiny details of a wedding and make it look easy. We especially appreciated her assistance organizing everything in her online program Aisle Planner. She worked closely with us to build a minute-by-minute schedule we could use and send to our families and wedding party. She contacted our vendors beforehand and made sure everyone knew the timeline. Nicole came out to tour our venue at the Berkeley Brazilian Room. She took charge and asked all the right questions to confirm we would have what we needed the day of our wedding. She took down details about the floor plans to help make mock ups of the room. She was a confident and prepared presence. She led our wedding rehearsal and efficiently and painlessly prepared everyone in our wedding party. The day of the wedding, Nicole came and checked in on the wedding party in their getting ready rooms. She made sure the wedding party was ready to go. She even pinned on the groomsmen's boutonnieres! Nicole orchestrated over a dozen vendors to ensure our venue was perfectly set up like we discussed. It was so incredibly beautiful. We were so grateful that she had all of the vendors' contact information, knew when they would arrive, and she handled any last minute challenges that popped up. Everyone was so appreciative of that! Both sides of our families said that they were able to relax during our wedding thanks to Nicole. She and her day-of assistant Mary even came with an earpiece com-system so they could talk back and forth to coordinate things without disturbing the event. It was each little thing, down to her "just in case" kit that I needed in the getting ready room that made me feel so taken care of, I just knew no one else could have been who Nicole was for us throughout this entire process. Thanks to Nicole's excellent work, we were able to relax and enjoy every moment of our beautiful dream-come-true wedding. I wholeheartedly recommend Nicole to my friends and family! You won't regret working with Nicole, she'll forever be a friend of the family!
