It had a malt crust on the outside that gave an extra crunch. I was pretty lucky to experience my first public viewing while I dined here. Crowds of people had gathered to watch the Germany vs. Netherlands match. High fives were flying all around, and people were "prosting" each other. Great fun! Waitress was pretty quick but was unfriendly when we asked for a separate bill. She made a face and later pushed past my friend without apologizing. Perhaps it's not customary to ask for another bill, but I think the waitress could've been nicer about it. Maybe she was in a pissy mood. Service 4 Ambience 5 Food 5

We also had the grilled knuckle of pork which is served with sauerkraut and dumpling. The meat was tender and flavorful. I usually don't care for sauerkraut but this one was quite tasty. We also had the Nurnberger sausages with sauerkraut. They were also delicious. We enjoy our meal. Service was quick and efficient. This restaurant has a lively atmosphere. It's a fun place to hang out with friends and have a beer or two. It has both indoor and outdoor seating.

I only ordered a .11l as I didn't want to be carried to the train. I'd eaten a large lunch earlier, so just got the buttered pretzel. It was tasty. My uncle ordered a vegetarian Vetter's Devil and liked it. He got the larger of the 33 and the server said, "don't tell her, but I like you better." Ha! I'll definitely bring friends and family here again.

Everything we ordered was excellent and service was also quite good. Despite having a main server, there were 2-4 others constantly picking up used dishes at the table and bringing new drinks or next courses. Must-order here is the bratwurst from the appetizer menu and the apple donuts from the dessert menu. Unique and tasty for both.

We were looking for a small biergarten for dinner that was within walking distance of our hotel…read more This place was exactly what we were looking for. We grabbed a seat and started to peruse the menu. We had a variety of dishes. Our table ordered the flammkuchen with feta and olives, the pork cordon bleu with fries, the pork schnitzel with fries, and the bratwurst with potato salad. The small salad that came with the schnitzel was delicious. It had a bit of carrot salad, some cabbage salad, and then fresh leaf lettuce and dressing over the top. I didn't try to flammkuchen but the person that ate it said it was very good. I did swap one of my bratwurst for one of the schnitzels. The schnitzel was OK. It was a little on the dry side and it would have benefitted from a sauce of some sort. I took one bite of my bratwurst and fell in love. It was so good that I had everyone a the table try a bite. We all agreed that it was the best dish of the night. I would happily eat that dish once a week. The potato salad was good and I liked the slight hint of acidity. Fries aren't my favorite so it was a nice alternative. The dessert was another showstopper. We ordered the ice cream with warm raspberry sauce. It was very good but it could not compare with the apple rings with ice cream. That may be one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. It was by far the best dessert we had on this entire trip.
