It was a great introduction to our visit to the beach later that day. The gift shop sells small glass bottles with cork stoppers that have D Day inscriptions on them. Be sure to pick one up if you are headed to the beach later, as you can use them to collect a little of the beach to take home with you.

Having said that the D-Day Experience in Carentan, the Overlord Museum at Omaha Beach and the Pegasus Memorial are better. We liked the films and the explanations on the Mulberry harbour and learned quite a few new things. However, the combination of audio and detailed reading does give an information overload. Good, but not a must visit.
