I was told by my insurance representative that it benefits a customer to be insured with Lakeshore…read moreInsurance vs. going directly to the insurance company because going "direct," you become just be a number in a sea of other customers and hsve to speak to a different representative every time you call...but at this point that seems like the better option because atleast you get things done, your question answered, and your issue resolved right away. With Lakeshore, or having an Advisor at Lakeshore for your insurance needs seems to be a "thing" in name only. Issue is...my rep never gets back to me without me having to badger/hound him for the answer, a solution, or new insurance policy options. I'm wayyyyyyy to busy for the hounding, when I take time out of my day to work on insurance issues I want to resolve them right then or via a follow up task action that requires a review, sign, and done. He (Lakeshore Insurance) makes it hard for me to find value in remaining a customer with Lakeshore Insurance and having the benefit of a personal insurance "Advisor." I don't write reviews that often but, this seems like a case that needs to be shared. *This has been an ongoing experience with my rep, oh excuse me "my personal advisor," who is always: -slow to respond -not consistent with his follow through -offers "genic" quotes (with no real personalization based upon my needs) when I'm just a phone call away to get proper specs for mileage driven, add-ons, road side assistance needs, rental car needs, etc. All of which are things that impact the premium's price. -me always having to do the "follow up" to get an answer to seal the deal. I started this conversation mid September...it's now November and still don't have what i asked for which is updated quotes....for auto insurance...for four vehicles. Been a loyal customer to Lakeshore Insurance Company for almost 10 yrs, you'd think they would value me for bringing business of four cars and home owners insurance. At this point I'm probably better off going with a big box company who doesn't know me by name and forcing me to speak to a different representative every time (which is okay with me....at least I get my issues, inquiries, and needs met instantly)! Vs. Having a "personal advisor insurance representative," who offers NO real customer service or assistance to personalize my requested insurance needs. -a Disappointed customer

Where do I begin? After looking over all of the reviews I couldn't believe he got 5 stars from all…read moreof his customers. He didn't do that for me once I had been with the company for some years. I tried calling this State Farm Agency to see if there was away for me to get my home insurance lowered recently. I told them I had to adjust my car insurance as well because they were charging me so much for my Buick century 2001. The entire time I've had insurance with this company thank God I never had to file a claim for fire or a car accident. Basically I've just been giving away free money to this agency, when I spoke to a representative and asked for a call back no one called me back, I had to call them back, so unprofessional but they would gladly take your monthly payment on your premiums. I finally spoke to an agent and asked him if there was a way to get my home insurance lowered. I was still paying a high amount in my opinion even from the time Kevin was reluctant to lower the amount until I left a review stating how high my insurance was and that I wasn't happy with Kevin not trying to work with me to give me a discount. Fast forwarding to the new year 2026. After doing some research on my home I realized I was being charged entirely too much and needed to make a change. Dale changed my car insurance rate as I requested, he said he would speak to Kevin regarding what they could do to see if I could get a rate that would be more reasonable for me to pay, and give me a call back the call never came. That is when I started contacting other insurance companies and God lead me to Allstate. My new agent Amira was awesome I never had an agent break down my coverage the way she did and not only that, but she also saved me so much money by switching. I wish I would have did it sooner. So, once everything was finalized and my new insurance company was confirmed. She made a courtesy call to my insurance company. When we called, she let them know I was cancelling my policy and any refund I had coming from them should be sent to me. We spoke to a woman on the phone that day, and I finally felt like I am finally finished with this company that is only interested in taking your money and never willing to truly help with giving you a discount. They sent this little refund no more than $24 dollars I wanted to laugh. After all of the money I put in insuring my home guess who gets it not me, but them. I wouldn't have left another review for State Farm until they had the nerve to send my a bill stating they I owed them a balance that was more than the refund they sent to me. What a waste, why send me a small refund check if I had a balance. All the money they've made off of me all the years I didn't have to file a claim use that money to reimburse yourself. The one thing most of these insurance companies do is continue to get rich off of each customers payment, imagine no one ever needing to file a claim where is our money going? The office was so petty to send me a final bill. Do your research, check your rates because you may be able to save a lot of money going somewhere else. I finally did! We are all paying a small fortune on home and car insurance through companies like State Farm at least I have better rates now although I think it may be better to buy a tiny home and save your money rather than pay high premiums on something you may never see a return on we have to get wiser, and smarter I don't have money to waste and now my money is gone completely to State Farm but, I have a better insurance company now and a better agent that save me so much money. I wish I could share how drastic the number were with more coverage from Allstate. I was shocked I thought for sure they would be more with the amazing coverage I am getting they a better. I'm speaking the truth to stop others from overpaying and going to an agent that doesn't want to save you money but take your money! Truly disappointed Shonda C.

Not only was Collin incredibly responsive and kind during a stressful time, but he also made sure the entire claims process was smooth and shockingly fast -- everything was handled and resolved in just ONE week! To say I'm disappointed with this specific agent and relationship is an understatement. I have been…read morewith State Farm since my father set me up when I was 16 years old. Almost 30 years. I've maintained the relationship with the same office through moves and multiple new home and vehicle purchases, always bundling everything here. I've never missed or been late on one single payment. Over the past two years, we had some appliances leak, in addition to wind damage on our roof. One of the claims was inadvertently a duplicate (never questioned by this office...and for our singular roof), and we were told our entire homeowner policy is now cancelled. I went through the process of an appeal, only to hear today it was declined. With this lag, I only have 3 days (counting the weekend when insurance offices are not open) to find a new policy. Absolutely awful experience, customer service, support and management.
