The Hotel's average nightly price is $80. For $80 it would have been 3, maybe 4 stars, but they jacked up their prices to $250 a night for the weekend of Opensauce. This is NOT a $250 a night hotel. It is a $80 a night hotel in need of renovation. The room was adequate. The bed was clean, and that was greatly appreciated. The bathroom window had a hole in the screen. Our chair was threadbare. The pillows were okish. We were on the 2nd floor, 2 staircases the only way to get to the room. You check in at the window, a left over from the 50's. We did not use their housekeeping in the 4 days we were there, and were annoyed that they only use flat sheets. They don't stay tucked in. We asked for clean towels, and had to trade in our old towels before they were given to us. I would probably not stay there in the future.

Probably the worst hotel I have ever been to. I stayed here with my husband we went to a local event. The parking lot looks sketchy. The customers were just as questionable. We witnessed a women come park in the parking lot and pick up "something " from one of the rooms. The women just went up to door and the man opened it and handed her "something" then she walked off back to her car. Literally just saw a drug deal. The room smelled of heavy urine. The floor was cement and had a bunch of scratches on it in one spot like something was clawing at the floor. Couldn't stay here. We choose to leave and try to contact management and never got a clear answer when she was coming in. Myra was the manager. The next day, I did receive a call the next day, but it wasn't in regards to the concerns I had with the room or getting my money back. Basically, the counter guy called to see if we were going to stay another night?? Like what? I let him know that we had checked out soon after we arrived. I also asked him if I could speak to the manager because we were told that she would be in the morning. The first conversation I had with him he said she was going to be in at 3 PM and that he would get back to us but never did. So I called him back 20 min later and again asked if he ever spoke to the manager. He told us that he never heard anything from the manager and couldn't do anything for us unless he got a confirmation from her. All in all horrible unprofessional, no accountability for how the conditions were in the room and honestly just don't stay here. I have learned my lesson and honestly I recommend don't stay anywhere less than 200 bucks a night. ##DO NOT STAY HERE#

Our first time here & thought it was adequate but not great. Being a small boutique hotel it has its charms & inherent flaws. We appreciated the complimentary parking which is a rarity in any SF area hotels. The lot was inside the hotel courtyard so we felt safer. There are about 19 tight parking spots which is an excellent ratio for a 36-room hotel. You can park on the street at your own peril, but beware of street cleaning days. Check in was prompt & efficient even though we were 2 hr early. There were ice water & solid coffee available 24/7 inside the small office, that's also where you can grab the breakfast in a box, there is no designated "dining area" for guests. The boutique hotel is the byproduct of a renovated old building, so you will hear the stairs & floors creak. All of the king sized rooms are located in the back instead of next to the main street (Geneva) so they are more "quiet". That said there were still obnoxious car & motorcycle noises deep into the night. We can also hear when neighbors cough, talk or move about next door & above us. Car alarms in the parking lot went off twice in the middle of the night. Overall there were much excitements on this Saturday nite. Room was small but adequate, bed was medium firm, pillows & comforters were a bit thin so we didn't get that plush feeling. There was a faint "old building" aroma in the room, but nowhere as obnoxious compared to some of the rotten motels I have stayed at. The small brown leather chair & the accent window curtains were a nice touch; a mini fridge & Keurig completed the furnishings. We saw no closet but there were a few hooks & hangers by the dress mirror. Thats also where you will find the hair dryer & ironing board. There were outlets & usp ports by the small side table. It took us a while to figure out how to operate the switch for the dimmable recess lights. Bathroom was relatively spacious & contained the basic essentials. Water pressure was low & temp was just warm at 10 am, i was told the water was "hotter" at night. We visited the area to sample local SF good eats so the complimentary BF was low on our priority. The cartoon box contained the basics: apple, Chobani yogurt, 4 very stale donut balls and one boiled egg that tasted slightly sour. The ladies at the office were courteous & helpful. None of the deficiencies above were of human in nature. I am always for supporting local business in diverse neighborhoods, thus prob will still consider staying here again in the future.

Was a decent stay for a couple days was a little loud with other guest with screaming babies but the room was cool for the price an we where close to some good food with a short car ride

Basic small room. Not terrible.

I'm laying here right now. Third time tonight that this same asshole has set off their car horn and woken the entire motel up. Looks like some cholo. Inconsiderate and the sound of the horn goes right through the paper thin walls. It jolted me from my sleep and I grabbed my gun the first time out of surprise/shock/thinking it was robbery. Fucking terrible sleep tonight. 3am, the car horn goes off again. I go outside and see that there's 3 people around a silver car. Probably a drug deal going down. I don't care about the drug deal, the noise is pissing me off terribly. The asshole is still sitting in his car right now. Called front desk who won't do anything about it. I was finally able to sleep after stick in foam earplugs. Summary: 1.) This is a motel not a hotel 2.) Lots of noise 3.) Late night drug deals 4.) Staff doesn't care Best thing about my stay: 1.) There is a mini fridge

Good natural light from the window, and the room felt quiet at night, which matters. Breakfast was included and decent. Waffles, muffins, yogurt, coffee -- simple but enough to start the day. Not gourmet, but consistent with the brand. Coffee was fresh, which is key. Gym was a plus. Not huge, but had the basics: cardio machines, weights, clean space. There's something about this hotel that just doesn't feel cold or transactional--it feels welcoming. A huge part of that is the front desk team, especially Grace and Eva. After a long day of work, being greeted by people who are genuinely upbeat, warm, and attentive makes a real difference. They consistently go above and beyond, whether it's helping with directions, recommending great places to dine or shop, or just making sure everything feels seamless during my stay. What really stands out is that they offer the kind of thoughtful, personalized guidance you usually only get at a five-star resort--essentially complimentary concierge service, and done with sincerity. The pricing was reasonable and allowed us to spend more money shopping! The motel is no more than two blocks from the beach, so we were able to have some nice morning walks along the oceanside. We booked a two bedroom and different amenities are in each: the larger of the two had a TV in it (bring your DVD player or console as it doesn't have much to watch in terms of streaming) and a foldable table, and the smaller of the two had a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The motel is conveniently located next to the rail and bus stops, but that does mean it's a bit noisy throughout the day and night. It didn't bother us, but they do offer ear plugs for those who are bothered! Keep in mind it is an old building, so the A/C isn't as powerful and the windows do not have screens, so we were often a bit warm despite it being cold outside. The area felt safe to walk out around at night and we were able to see our car parked right outside our room window. There is a couple eateries not too far of a walk from the motel, which was really nice. (Keep in mind we are able-bodied adults. I would not recommend this particular room for those who aren't able-bodied as the restroom was quite small and there are a couple heavy doors and gates to get through to the room.) With all this in mind, I would definitely book another stay with them the next time I'm in SF!

Grand Hyatt At SFO - Grand Club Lounge

One of the realities of international travel is that sometimes convenience becomes the ultimate…read moreluxury. That was exactly why my husband and I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt at SFO before our flight to Asia. Even though San Francisco has countless beautiful hotels throughout the city, we had absolutely zero desire to leave the airport area, deal with Bay Area traffic, haul international luggage around town, and then fight our way back into SFO the next morning. No thank you. The Grand Hyatt's biggest selling point is honestly its direct connection to the airport via the AirTrain system. For travelers unfamiliar with SFO, the hotel is actually located right on airport property and connected by the elevated AirTrain, making it remarkably convenient for international departures. Once you arrive at the airport, you can simply take the AirTrain directly toward the hotel without ever needing a shuttle, rental car, or rideshare. And when you are dragging multiple suitcases while mentally preparing for a trans-Pacific flight, that convenience suddenly feels very glamorous. Now admittedly, after getting off the AirTrain, navigating toward the actual hotel lobby with luggage was slightly more confusing than I expected at first. My husband and I definitely had one of those "I hope we are walking the correct direction" moments while hauling luggage through the corridors. But thankfully we eventually figured it out without becoming permanent residents of the terminal. The check-in process itself was smooth and easy, and the staff throughout the stay were excellent -- professional, welcoming, and efficient. The room was comfortable, modern, and very well maintained. Slightly smaller than I had anticipated, perhaps, but still a very pleasant room overall and perfectly suited for an overnight pre-flight stay. One unexpectedly wonderful part of this hotel is the plane spotting. Aviation enthusiasts probably already know this, but many rooms and public areas offer fantastic views of the runways and departing aircraft. Watching the constant rhythm of planes taxiing and lifting off while the sun sets over the Bay creates a strangely calming atmosphere for fellow travelers preparing for their own journeys. And surprisingly, despite being right at the airport, the soundproofing was excellent. We could barely hear the aircraft noise at all inside the room, which honestly impressed me quite a bit. The hotel also has a very nice restaurant inside the property, which made things easy since neither my husband nor I felt particularly motivated to wander around the airport after a long travel day. Then the next morning came the part that made the entire stay worth it: We simply grabbed our luggage, boarded the AirTrain again, and easily made our way directly to the international terminal for our departure to Asia. No stress. No traffic. No airport panic. Honestly, for international travelers flying through SFO, this place makes an enormous amount of sense.

The Grand classy - anything and everything about this hotel spell class !! From the moment you step into the lobby, to rooms, amenities, gym, restaurants. The staff here are on a "business friendly" attitude. We didn't try the hotel lobby bar for its a little pack with business men/women. But, we ate at the restaurant. The gym is quite large organized and clean. The food is quite good and tasty but a little expensive ( for my taste) nice if you're on expense report. The hotel was quiet, although, during the very early mornings, you can hear airplane engine roaring inside your room. Not the hotels fault, it's the surrounding areas. Will stay here again if I have an early morning flight.

We last stayed at an AC hotel a decade ago in Valencia, Spain. The hotel is sleek, clean, and very European in style. Even the toilets in the room remind me of the ones I've seen in London. It would have been an easy 5-stars but I need to deduct a star for in-room amenities. First, the positives: 1. Hotel is very clean and has an excellent patio with lights and a relaxing vibe. Excellent gym too. 2. Great Cafe for breakfast but also a full bar with DJs on Fridays, and Cocktail and Cooking demos through the week. 3. Free Infused water, tea, and Costco trail mix (with regular and peanut M&Ms). Hydration stations everywhere so no need to buy water. 4. Beds were comfy and all of us had great sleep. The Negatives 1. Our in-room fridge was not a true fridge, and despite their maintenance guy helping us reset the temperature to 34F, it could bot reach lower than 47F after a day. No big deal for drinks, but a big no-no for storing milk for our toddler. 2. Rooms were clean and sleek, but some more shelving and storage space would be nice. 3. Housekeeping service seems to need 3-nights minimum stay, so none for us. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider staying here again. Maybe it was just bad luck that our room had a faulty fridge.
