I called to see if he was accepting new patients and if so when I could get in. They scheduled me for the first available appointment that they had but was still almost 2 weeks out, but I understood. The next day, Dr. Lehman calls me, himself, and asked me about my headaches and said why don't we get you in on an emergency visit and I got in later that day. He gave me a extensive exam and not only told me that I was in need of glasses, he proved it to me by showing me what things would look like with corrective lens. This place completely impressed me. Patient for life.

Apparently the office had some questions about me trying to make another appointment in 3 months. During the time I was waiting I was not consulted or asked any questions. I explained to the desk it was an authorized appointment and what was the problem. I offered to call the V.A but was told they were in contact with them. At that time I sat down. No further communication and at 1429 went back to the desk , no one there waited a minute, and sat back down. At 1431 I left the facility and called the community care office at the V.A. very poor communication and will not return. Was very disrespectful of the staff to this veteran.​

She takes her time educating and guiding her patients in healthy habits and medical choices. She also has the ability to do a lot of testing in house instead of driving to Columbus for further tests. For once a medical appointment that I don't have to deal with during working hours!! I have to say, the minute we started going to this business, it was like a breath of fresh air. No pressure from Dr. Hartig on wanting me to purchase bifocals or progressives (although I know they would be beneficial but I've been refusing to commit). He simply tells me he fully supports my decision, regardless. He is always so kind and personable, and gives me sound advice along with some interesting educational trivia about my eyeballs. The prices here are also so much better than our old optometrist. There are perks at this location that I am told are included in our insurance, but at our old spot they were charging us extra. The selection in eyeglasses is quite grand as well. The staff are very helpful (and honest when giving their opinions on frames, which is much appreciated). We have no plans to go anywhere else for our vision needs!

During the two and a half years that my husband received treatments from Dr. Patel we were pleased with his treatments and liked him personally. The wait was sometimes long, but we were there for treatment so put up with it. In the spring of 2024 things changed and appointments started to be cancelled with very little notice. We were on the way there when the first one happened. The explanation was that they didn't have the medication for the injection and to reschedule. This happened a second time and put my husband a month behind on his scheduled injection. My inside source told me that the practice was having trouble paying for the meds they used and insurance payments were not enough to cover the cost. And the pharmacy that supplied the drugs wouldn't do so until the practice paid their bills, which were in the thousands. There seemed to be some scheme to get the patients to pay for the injection medication, which was the new drug Vabysmo and have it shipped to the doctors office. Then the patient was to try to get the money back from the insurance company. Weeks went by and no one would talk to us about what was going on or tell us what to do. Many calls to the Circleville office and promises made and NOT kept, that they would get back to us. But they never did. We made one last appointment to try to talk to the doctor about what we should do. He, Dr.Patel, left the room and sent a lady in to tell us the upcoming visit for an injection was cancelled and did not tell us to make another. So we left and waited and waited and waited some more to be contacted. My husband is now two months behind schedule for his eye injections. luckily we had made a previous appointment with another doctor connected to the Ohio State University Hospital, so went there in July. We had made this appoint a few months earlier when it became apparent no one was going to contact us from Eye Specialists, Inc. We will never know the true or complete story of this fiasco and the, what we feel, was the complete abandonment of a patient by this doctor. My husband and I were very lucky as we had some inside information about what was going on and advised us to get out of the train wreck that this practice was headed for. I would not advise anyone to go to this fiasco of a medical practice. I did write a short letter to Dr. Patel advising him that my husband would not be his patient anymore, but I doubt he ever saw it as it was likely discarded by the office staff. The offices became dirtier and dirtier each time my husband went there. The staff in general were not top notch and obviously afraid of losing there jobs if they gave out any information about the new insurance scheme. In retrospect, I really don't think they had any information. We liked Dr. Patel, but in the end, Eye Specialists really let us down!! We would encourage people to think twice and then think twice again about ever using Eye Specialists, Inc.

We had a humorous conversation both during the initial exam and with the eye doctor. This is a team that works well together, and you can tell by the end product which was a very pleasurable experience. I would give them 5 stars, but I was a little disappointed by the hours of operation. They're open after 5:00 p.m. only 3 days a week and closed on weekends, which made it difficult for me to schedule an appointment to accommodate my work schedule. But that isn't enough for me to consider anyone else. I was very satisfied with my visit and will be sending the rest of my family when the time comes.

I did reply back when and what time I put any time will be fine no reply back . I called the following week. The young lady said oh I got it . It was checked off that it was done sorry . My reply to her was . So sorry you just lost a patient.
