I was referred to My Pets Vet by another Vet who was unwilling or unable to help with my puppy. I got a new puppy who had a broken leg so we've been from one vet after another to make sure that we had proper care. I've dealt with rude vets, smelly offices, pure chaos and so much more. From the moment that we walked in, a couple of things stood out - this place is very clean and smells good and we were greeted by very friendly and caring staff. That's the best way I could describe every single person in that office. Over the past four days, we have been in the office almost daily and I have encountered at least 5 or 6 different staff members and although I didn't get each of their names, I'll never forget how we were treated. Not to mention, the Dr. is very informative and also very caring. We live almost an hour away and I'll gladly take that trip for the unique and personalized care that my fur babies are receiving. Thank you My Pets Vet staff Love, Pradas Family

My dog went in for his nails trimmed and flea medication, he died 10 days later. They took him from me to cut his nails after I said not to and the next day he could barely stand! I called and they wanted me to bring him back there, probably to kill him sooner! When I called to tell them he died they made me pay to have him cremated. Waiting over a week for office manager Tammy to call me!! Don't take your beloved pets here! They murdered my baby he was only 7 and had so much life left!!

My elderly dog who they take care of

This vet always takes care of my animals!! So far three of my dogs (one has since moved on) have been there and they always take care of them. My two cats also! They take care of exotics so I will start to bring my rabbit, lizards, and birds there too!

My dog came out of the surgery happy, and she is healing really well! Best Friends always has time to fit me in for a last minute appointment. They are a great vet.

When I called, I…read moreexplained that I needed appointments for all three dogs, and the woman on the phone specifically told me that they could all be scheduled at 8:30 AM on the same day. On the day of the appointment, I arrived on time, but the groomer who met me acted as if my presence--and my dogs--were an inconvenience. She immediately questioned why I brought all three dogs, even though that was exactly what I had been instructed to do. She handed me paperwork to fill out and then walked away without any explanation. The front desk staff was extremely rude as well. After I filled out the forms, they scolded me for not knowing certain information--even though I had already brought in all of my dogs' records two weeks earlier when I made the appointments. I apologized and explained that I'm new to the area, but the front desk dismissed me and said, "Well, they told me to do this. I have no clue," instead of helping or clarifying anything. What makes this especially frustrating is that, because the office is so close to my home, I had already scheduled three separate upcoming vet appointments--one dog at a time--to establish care. I did this to make things easier for the vet, since I understand handling three dogs at once can be a lot. I even explained that I have a baby with me all the time, so I'm perfectly willing to schedule individually when needed. Yet for grooming, I was specifically instructed to bring all three dogs at 8:30 AM. I followed their directions exactly, and instead of being treated with understanding, I was shamed and verbally reprimanded. The groomer actually said, "How dare you bring three dogs at the same time," and the front desk told me the appointments were at different times--as if this was somehow my mistake. I have never been scolded as an adult the way I was in this office. Then things became even more unacceptable. After they took my dogs to the back, I asked for them to please bring my dogs back to me. The groomer refused and said she needed to get the manager first. I calmly repeated that I wanted my dogs returned. Everyone then disappeared and ignored me. I asked the front desk staff repeatedly--three times--to please bring out my dogs. She finally said she would go get them, then disappeared again. When the groomer eventually came back out, she asked, "Did they get your dogs?" I told her no, I was still waiting. Only then did she bring out my three dogs. This entire experience--from the attitude, to the scolding, to refusing to bring me my own pets--was unprofessional, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate. I canceled all upcoming appointments and will not be returning.

This pet clinic is definitely my top choice, and I want to start by saying that because, overall, I…read morehave had a very positive experience with the care they provide. However, one major issue has significantly affected my experience, and I feel it is important to share it. The fact that the entire clinic closes for a full hour during lunch is extremely concerning, especially when dealing with pets who may need urgent medication or supplies. Having everyone go to lunch at the same time, rather than alternating lunch shifts so that the clinic remains available as many other clinics do is, in my opinion, a major flaw. This is especially important for a veterinary clinic because our pets cannot always wait an entire hour for something they medically need. My pet, Leo, needed an AeroKat from the clinic so that I could properly administer his asthma medication. Unfortunately, because the clinic was completely closed during their lunch hour, I was unable to get what he needed from them, and I ultimately had to take him to the ER. This was an incredibly stressful and frightening situation, and it made me realize how serious the consequences of being completely unavailable for an entire hour can be. What made the experience even more upsetting was what happened when I called the clinic to express my concerns. I was crying and extremely distressed because I was going through one of the worst moments of my life with my baby, Leo. Instead of being met with compassion or even basic empathy, the front desk transferred me to the clinic director, Maria, without telling me that I was being transferred to her. When Maria answered, her first response was, "What's the question?" I was caught off guard and asked, "Excuse me? Who is this?" She repeated, "What's the question?" She knew I was crying and clearly struggling, yet I felt no compassion, concern, or understanding from her whatsoever. I understand that clinics get busy, and I understand that employees have stressful days. However, when someone is calling while crying and clearly distressed about their sick pet, the way that person is treated matters. A simple acknowledgment, some empathy, or even asking what happened would have made a tremendous difference. I am sharing this because I genuinely do consider this clinic my top choice, and I would like to continue feeling that way. I hope management will seriously reconsider the full hour closure for lunch and consider staggering lunch breaks so that someone is always available for urgent needs. I also hope the clinic will address how distressed pet parents are treated when they reach out for help. Our pets are our family. When something is wrong with them, we are often scared, emotional, and desperate for help. Compassion and accessibility should be just as important as medical care.

The facility was dirty--I was expected to…read morewalk through dog vomit just to get my dog to the scale when i refused then they mopped it up but it smelled horrible. That alone was unacceptable. What concerned me even more was the care we received. The veterinarian never performed a physical examination of my dog--at any point during the visit. Instead, he immediately began discussing expensive diagnostic tests and raised alarming possibilities, such as my dog having swallowed a nail clipper. I felt pressured into approving x-rays after those worst-case scenarios were presented. After emphasizing those possibilities, he told me he "worked for me" and that the decision was mine. However, he immediately followed that by warning me that if my dog was anemic, she could die on the table. Then, when I expressed concern about not being able to afford these costs for the 2nd time he told me he understood my financial situation because he also had five children to feed. I found that comment inappropriate and unrelated to helping me make an informed medical decision for my dog. Ultimately, my dog was diagnosed with colitis--a condition that I believe should have been considered and evaluated before resorting to discussions of extreme possibilities. While I understand veterinarians need to rule out serious conditions, I expected a thorough physical examination, clear communication, and an explanation of why each test was necessary. Instead, there was no physical examination whatsoever before I was asked to approve more than $600 in testing. To make matters worse, I was also charged an additional 3% credit card surcharge. Between the unsanitary conditions, the lack of any physical examination, the pressure to authorize costly tests, the credit card fee, and the final bill, I left feeling that my concerns--and my dog's well-being--were not the priority. I will not be returning, and I hope the clinic takes these concerns seriously by improving both its cleanliness and its approach to patient care and communication. Our pets deserve better.
