He's a homophobic racist. Michael Festa is the owner and driver for My Hoopty located at 690 Main Street Oakville CT 06795. He tries to impound car's that the owners will claim so the vehicles don't have to sit until they receive a abandoned vehicle title so it can be scrapped. Makes more sense to tow a vehicle that will be picked up by the owner. He can charge mileage, labor, impound and storage fees so he makes money ASAP. The company has a bad habit of towing vehicles the long way back to the yard so they can hit the customer with more mileage fees and he also adds a extra mile so the fuel is covered which is against the law. I've seen him cause damage to vehicles as well and then denies it claiming that the vehicle had damage prior to the tow. A Volkswagen was impounded and during the tow back to the yard the tail cracked the oil pan and oil was everywhere. When the customer came to pick up the vehicle Michael Festa told her he towed it because it was leaking oil in the parking lot of the complex. He said that a rock must have hit and damaged the pan while the person was driving so (prior) to the tow. That isn't true 110% false. When a customer calls about selling a junk vehicle Michael asks what they want for the vehicle in hopes they say a lower number than the usual $250 he offers. Here's where it gets interesting. When he looks at the vehicle he will claim either no catalytic converters or aftermarket catalytic converters. He tells the women that the catalytic converter is a resonator not a catalytic converter. Some vehicles such as Audi will have multiple catalytic converters but he isn't honest with the customer. Be careful with Michael Festa he has sued 711 in Oakville the tool truck Mac he hasn't paid he owes Napa of Watertown money and Ford Motor Credit. He has been arrested for writing bad checks as well. He disrespects the Watertown police because they respond to calls they receive from vehicle owners. He will look you in the eye and lie without any remorse and he might even believe his own lies. He is a slumlord he rents out multiple houses section 8 usually. The people staying at these properties don't have thousands of dollars to move. This company is horrible!!!! My apartment complex is in a contract with them, as far as towing vehicles that are not authorized to be parked in the parking lot. Whoever visits you has to park on the street & walk to wherever they're going. If you're car is not registered nor insured in your name you have to park on the steeet as well. If there is no sticker from the complex on the window of the car that is parked in the parking lot the car is towed! My friend was picking me up & ran in for not even 5 mins (MIND YOU HER CAR WAS ON) key still in the ignition. I happened to look outside my window & they were lifting the car to tow it away. She ran outside like what's going on? My car is still running , they told her back up from the car they're taking it! If she didn't hve $94 to pay up front. While all in the process of on our way to register her car that morning reason being she picked me up. To sit with her in the busy ass DMV. So of course unregistered car means stuck in pound longer. No release. Everything is situated (next day) she's calling constantly to pick her car up. The guy was giving us a hard time from the previous day! What can I say... well as a women I can say alot. Most men would take advantage of women when it came to cars. Which after I was hit while at a light. I took my car to 2 diff garages that were not only going to put second hand parts on but, also were going to do ,as I saw it was just cosmetic repairs..
