I usually don't write reviews, but I feel strongly enough about our experience with My Gym... I had to give them a glowing review for my daughter's third birthday. Their staff went above and beyond to make this birthday special. Since it was held on May the Fourth (Force) Be With You, I requested the use of pool noodle light sabers as part of the activities. They went beyond incorporating them into games. They had a Star Wars music playlist prepared, Star Wars themed games... they really helped me pull the theme together. The staff. Wow. So much enthusiasm. And control over a bunch of wild toddlers. Most of the kids were 2-4 years old. I can't get my one toddler to listen to me. They were able to coral ~15 of the 20 guests into group games and activities. The facilities. So clean. Toys and equipment all looked in great shape. There's a little waiting area where parents can sit and view the party. Really great space. It fit all the kids plus two parents. The set up. We purchased the package that pretty much had everything set up for us. Just needed to bring the cake and snacks. Birthday banner, table clothes, plates/utensils... all taken care of. It worked out really well for us! My daughter had the best time. All the kids had so much fun. Parents were telling me that their kids could not stop talking about the party the rest of the evening. That sounds like a successful party! I'm so so so happy I decided to go with My Gym. You won't regret it! read more

We've been bringing my now 16-month-old here for a few months, and he loves it! It's been so good for him. This is a really great place to get him socialized and work on his gross and fine motor skills, especially being a pandemic baby and having had limited exposure to the outside world for the first year of his life! I love how they incorporate music, movement, socialization and puppet shows into every class and they have all these cute and creative new obstacle courses and games every week! They also keep the space immaculate and take sanitation protocols seriously. read more

Brought my daughters for their first visit for a classmate's birthday party. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic with the kids throughout the event. There were quite a few kids but the staff managed to keep their attention admirably. The location isn't that big but packs a lot of activities for younger kids around PreK-2nd. The open layout lends itself to quick configuration changes as needed. read more

Today is my 2yr old's birthday. We had the privilege of having my son's birthday party here. We had a variety of ages from 2yrs-10yrs old. I was a lil concerned how they will keep all kids engaged but the staff did an amazing job. Lots of free play, games, and even got the parents involved that was a fun surprise. They handled the whole time line, helped out with serving food and set up and clean up. Huge props to Matt and Tasha. They were so much fun, full of energy and kept everyone entertained. We have been going to the Gymster's class since it opened in October. Its a brand new facility, super clean, fun, friendly and energetic staff. My son gets super excited every week when I tell him we are going to MyGym. I would highly recommend this for your toddler. read more

My Gym has been such a great experience for my son and our entire family. With our unlimited membership it allows myself, my wife, and my mom to take my 1 year old a few times a week and we all get to watch his progression in our own way. Instructors are amazing, the gym is super clean and always thoughtfully re-arranged to keep the kiddos guessing. The class is super structured and on time which is amazing for keeping our kids on a routine. I highly recommend it to anyone we know and infants of all ages. We have been taking our son since he could crawl and every visit he is so excited when he arrives and sees his friends! It's been a blast watching his social and physical abilities grow every week. We've been attending My Gym since August 2022 and as a Mom with a 12 yr background in child development and working with kids, I was looking for an indoor play area for my daughter to build on her gross and fine motor skills. This place turned out to be so much more than that and we just can't see ourselves leaving. My daughter has had the opportunity to grow in all areas of development through both teacher directed activities and independent exploration of activities that are intentionally set up differently weekly to target her current developmental stage. She gets the opportunity to socialize (share, then taking, build language, etc.) with other children and parents/teachers, and also gets a short independent/separation time from me were she gets to work on her attachment with me (sense of trust and self-confidence that I'm close enough and good with her independent exploration) and also build relationships with others as well as self-regulation. After about a month of her being comfortable with the expectations and routine of the gym, and of course her trusting the teachers, she showed off all of the confidence she had built through all of the new skills she demonstrated. The staff: I'd give them more than 5 starts if I could. They are the reason we continue with our membership! - Ms. Alex: my child's first teacher-love. Ran to her arms after a few months (if that) and just loved her warmth, gentleness, patience, expertise in demonstrating skills and just love for what she does. She was the only reason I could get my child to move quicker to get out of the house to go to the gym... thank you Ms. Alex - N loves you and so do we. - The Director Ms. Lyndsay: Wow - the only way a place shines, is because of how the head of the place runs it - with respect, professionalism, care, and knowledge, and Ms. Lyndsay is proof that amazing leaders do exist, but are VERY rare. We appreciate absolutely everything you do, from all the knowledge you pour on us parents, how you simple you communicate with the children and accurately get them to engage, to your patience as well with well you know.. everything! You go above and beyond and it is noted and very much appreciated by all! We love you so much and you are definitely one of our faves - Ms. Litzi: You have a special place for me in the program as she picked up on my child wanting to be a Teacher's assistant and help with putting everything away and you went out of your way to let her have a turn and put a ball away as she didn't get a turn to even though everything had already been put away- you noticing that individual need that meant SO MUCH to my child, demonstrates your ability to individually pick up on the needs of the children your work with (and they are so many) and you're able to connect with them on another level! Very impressive and takes special people to really care to do this when working with kiddos! We love you classes! - Ms. Hailey: the purest heart in the gym that is full of contagious joy and also goes above and beyond for the kids!! N loves seeing you every time we get to at the gym! Very professional even in the tough conversations! We appreciate you very much! You're going to do amazing things. - Ms. Amanda and Ms. Chey: are also outstanding ladies teaching the classes with lots of energy and love for my little one and filling her cup by greeting her with so much love and energy and hyping her up to try all the things at the gym. My Gym is an amazing place for my 6 year old and 9 month old daughter. They both have so much fun and it teaches my older daughter about staying healthy through exercise, builds confidence, reiterates taking turns and working together, and she gets to release a lot of that energy she has. Also the staff are so kind and loving with the kids and they're motivating and great at keeping them on track with their obstacle courses. I highly recommend them to all our friends and families. Also, they're open play gyms are great during the week when they want to play a little more and burn off some extra energy, and I can join my daughter and play as well. My older daughter looks forward to her class all week long. Thanks so much for providing such joy and fun to both my daughters! read more

I really love taking both of my kids here, although since covid prices and class sizes have gone up. The people who work there are amazing both with parents and kids! Took my 6 year old son here for the first time and he LOVED it. We went during a private reserved time. Temp checks and hand washing at check in and hand sanitizer was available. The gym felt appropriately clean during this pandemic time. The employee working, David, was amazing. He was high energy and played with the kids showing them how to use the equipment in fun new ways. All the kids felt comfortable with him. David should train all MY Gym employees (he's just that good at his job). read more

We love it here! My twin toddlers have a blast & burn off a ton of energy, which is a win/win (possibly more so for me)The classes are pretty cute, they come up with some creative things so it's not just routine and the open play is fun for them. All of the staff are awesome with the kids, you can tell they hire people who truly enjoy working with children. My biggest fear was trying to manage two young toddlers alone when they immediately seem to run in opposite directions, but the staff is *always* on it and I'm at complete ease now. We can't go to parks yet (as I'd be SURE to lose a kid) so this is the perfect alternative, worth every single penny. read more

I was looking for a fun way to socialize my toddler and work on some structure as well as have fun. This is the perfect class for crawlers and on! First off, they were so kind and welcoming- I found them after searching my neighborhood for classes while I stood unacknowledged in the local Gymboree for 15 mins. Walking in this gym felt like a breath of fresh air, happy squealing kids, someone to great you and spend time explaining the classes. At least for the class we attended they had a great balance of free play, structured circle time, and optional activities that filled the hour. My child was never bored and also after some practice able to engage for the entire circle time (and sit still... on a rug!). They have such creative ideas and play great music, for kids and grownups. We adore Mr Matt and Ms Audrey, two of our favorite teachers (sorry if I mis-spelled your names). You can tell they just adore children and could make even the grumpiest kid smile. Best of all, unlike other gyms in this area, they offer a free intro class - so you can experience this magic for yourself. Great work my gym! read more

My Gym has been an amazing place to bring our daughter, especially after the pandemic. Our daughter loves going to each class. The facility is as clean as can be, and I've personally seen the instructors wipe everything down after each session. The instructors themselves are fantastic with kiddos, no matter if the kids are shy or extroverts, the instructor's energy make it easy for any kid to warm up to them quickly. Every week the classes are different which keeps every class interesting for kids. I highly recommend My Gym for any toddler. read more

The staff here is absolutely fantastic. They are so good that it's worth coming here just for the instructors. During every class, they are encouraging, helpful, energetic, and very entertaining. They know not only how to connect with kids but how to make everything fun. I had no intention of signing my 3-year-old son up for anything at all, but after one trial class, we were hooked. Months later, it's still the highlight of his week. The outstanding instructors we have had there are Tasha, Matt, and Niki. I would also like to add that I cannot imagine a better Director for a place like this than Niki. read more

We recently held a 1 year old birthday party here with 20 kids ages 1 through 6, and it was GREAT! The staff make it incredibly painless and easy from reserving the space, to setup, to running the show. The party was a mix of open play for the kids and organized games that really engaged all ages. It was our first time here so wasn't sure how the mix of ages would all feel about the venue, but they all had a really great time and all found lots of things they were excited about. The instructors were in the mix, helping kids and keeping the flow of the party going. As parents, we didn't have to worry about anything other than taking pictures and having a good time. We didn't use the available food options, so cant comment on that; but we were able to bring in our own snacks, cooler, and cake. My Gym provided all the necessary plates, forks, napkins, etc. Not sure why they don't have more reviews, but don't let that discourage you if you are looking for a place to host a party. My Gym in Poway was great and I would highly recommend them to my personal friends and family. read more

This place is everything a parent could ask for and more. The owner Cam is extremely responsive, communicative, and surrounds himself with a staff that leaves both kids and parents smiling by the end of class. For parents during COVID, MyGym Poway has offered such a welcomed fresh start to childhood development, taking all necessary safety precautions and keeping the gym clean and safe for all ages alike. There are other bigger gyms, but this size aas well as the time, care and intimate sized classes makes your child feel special and looked after. It really feels like a big family no matter what time of day you come. We look forward to growing with this gem of a location. Parking is easy, the stamp your kid receive after class is a cute way or rewarding good behavior, and the announcements during class about community events for holiday parties, meet and greets, etc are such a breath of fresh air during these troubled times.
