I attended the Tulsa Flea Market on Saturday, August 31st, and stopped by several booths…read moreincluding Laresa Raney's. I arrived at her booth at 2:51 PM, looking forward to purchasing a patch after carefully browsing through her binders. What I encountered instead was a shocking display of rudeness and hostility that I have never experienced in any marketplace. Despite the market's official closing time being 4:00 PM, I documented Laresa packing up her booth at 3:45pm--clearly in a rush to leave early, customer service be damned. When I politely asked for her Cashapp details to pay for the patch, she violently snatched it from my hand and, in a tone dripping with condescension, spat out, "You spent all that time making a mess and flipping through the binders for one patch? You know what, you're not buying anything." To add insult to injury, she had the nerve to tap me on the shoulder, as if I were some bothersome child. Her refusal to sell me the patch was inexplicable. When I asked why, Laresa exploded into a rant, falsely accusing me of disorganizing her binders--a blatant lie. It was clear she wasn't interested in making a sale; she was more concerned with breaking the market's rules by packing up early. Her unhinged behavior escalated to the point where I had no choice but to walk away. Laresa's behavior wasn't just rude--it was completely unprofessional and outright hostile. Her actions are a direct violation of the Tulsa Flea Market's vendor code of conduct, which clearly states that vendors should create a friendly shopping environment and remain open for business during the posted hours. Laresa did the exact opposite: she harassed a customer, attempted to shirk her responsibilities by leaving early, and even went so far as to physically touch me without consent. Let me be clear: Laresa Raney's presence at the Tulsa Flea Market is a stain on its reputation. She is an aggressive, dishonest vendor who clearly does not value her customers or her obligations. I strongly urge the Tulsa Flea Market to ban her from future events. Allowing her to continue vending would be a disservice to every other vendor and shopper at the market. If you value respectful service and a pleasant shopping experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this flea market and being aware of the kind of person Laresa Raney is. Her toxic attitude has no place in a community market.

Edit: I was told that he called my sister today to apologize…read morefor his behavior. Hey so uh. Don't try to buy anything from Yesterday's Antique Mall unless you want to be cheated. My sister and I called them Monday about a vacuum they were selling. We saw the ad on Craigslist. He didn't answer, but we left a message. He called back pretty quickly. They weren't open until today- Wednesday- but the guy said he'd hold it for us to come by after work today- no problem. Today, we drove from Owasso , in the rain to get it. We thought about bringing mom- but she didn't feel like dealing with it- and boy am I glad we didn't get her out of the house for this We ask about the vacuum, while Tiffany is pulling her wallet out..... and the guy tells us -- after trying to sell us some chairs he saw us looking at-- "It's gone." Nothing else. After several questions, he finally tells us that he sold it. He sold the vacuum he knew we were coming for today, and tells us it's our fault, because we hadn't paid for it already. Never mind the store wasn't open. They were closed all week. We called Monday anyway, because we really needed a functioning vacuum. Oh well. He says. We should have paid in advance. These things happen. So often, people don't pay for things, and he has to sell it to someone else who will. We reminded him he said he'd hold it. He said he didn't do holds. The guy keeps saying he's sorry, and he's a jerk, and we should leave. But it's really our fault for doing what he said and believing he'd hold it for when we came in today. Like we told him. But someone else apparently called him, offered to pay him, and he didn't call us to let us know, or even tell us there was a competing offer. He escorted us out of the store, lecturing us for berating him, asking if we were happy, and telling us we should leave. And physically held the door shut. Oh. Also, ironically, they have a bible study here. Because this guy has impeccable morals. Clearly. Feel free to share, because y'all, this is no way to run a business. Meanwhile. I'm glad we drove all this way for nothing, and we still need a vacuum.
