Jessie/Jessica and her "team" are unfit to host any accommodation. Would have given maybe three stars initially; however, I would now give them zero if I could.
My partner booked the Skyhigh Apartment on Grote Street through AirBnB. The apartment itself was nice; however, the fridge did not work for our entire week stay. The morning after we arrived, we realised there was something wrong with the fridge and it was not just a case of it had just been turned on and needed to chill. We were told by Jessie/Jessica that she would tell maintenance. We thought this meant someone would be around to fix it or it would be replaced.
Well, nothing was done about it. They were told that our 7 year old daughter had medication that needed to be kept refrigerated. We had purchased consumables that required refridgerating on day one. We lost a lot of these consumables and had to spend a lot on take away/restaurant food.
I had to charge the vacuum to clean the dirty nail clippings off the balcony. I found a sock in the washing machine and one in a bedroom that did not belong to us. This is not acceptable.
The utensils were poor in quality and/or nonexistent. When we brought this all up, the response was "ok thanks" from Chrystal.
And no, unlike how they try to palm off a lot of the other negative feedback I have read, there was no misunderstanding.
Then our daughter left her baby doll there. When they told us, we had been looking for it but we thought she had it in the fantastic place we stayed at in Hamilton on the way back, so we did not consider it to still be there. We asked Jess/Jessica if they could send it back at their cost considering their negligence, but no, we had to collect it or send a reply paid envelope. So my partner paid over $63 on express postage.
The envelope was sent from Melbourne on the Thursday, arrived to them on the Monday. My partner contacted Jessie/Jessica who said it would go out at the end of the week. Well it didn't. He then contacted her multiple times for it to be sent towards the end of the following week, arriving one day later. I had to keep showing our daughter the AusPost tracking to show that it had not been sent.
I would never stay anywhere that was managed by these incompetent, negligent people. My partner is getting a partial refund from AirBnB; however, it does not come close to what we have lost. read more
