Our tech was delayed for his morning appointment, and we were called immediately to reschedule, still on the same day. The tech was able to diagnose the problem within 15 minutes and show us the part needed to get it all working again. In addition, he recommended putting new tie-downs on the outside compressors to adhere to windstorm regulations. He had one set of tie-downs, but not both, so another appointment was arranged for the second set. I was unfamiliar with the pricing scheme that AAA used (parts are priced to include labor), and was unhappy with that, so AAA was able to explain in writing how they arrived at their numbers, and to give me a new invoice more in accordance with what this yankee girl is used to (the prices are reasonable considering the expertise of the techs). All in all, I would recommend AAA not only for emergencies, but for preventative work. I intend to get a quote from them when we need to replace our aging units.

I wonder how many other customers that they did the same thing of over charging. There is only one reason they have no hourly rate, so they can charge any amount.

Total Assurance is a top notch company. I had be having unusual issues with my current a/c for…read morequite some time. My bill kept going up and up. At certain times of the year the outside fan would kick on but the inside unit would not. The humidity inside my house was warping my blinds and collecting underneath my lpv tiles causing them to come loose. I had three different a/c companies come out. No one could diagnose the problem. I did some online research myself to try and understand what was going on. It helped shed some light on what some of the problems might be. Time went by and one night I noticed water coming out on the floor around the ac return vent. The line was plugged but I had no inside clean out plug So I went outside to the line and got it flowing a little with a coat hanger. I was referred to Total Assurance A/C by a contractor. Kyle came out that night and put a clean out plug on the inside Drain line and checked the unit over inside and out. He began telling and showing me all the things that he observed that were not right with my unit. Finally someone could tell me what was wrong with my a/c. I knew he was telling me the truth because it lined up the research I had done online. Kyle got me out of a bind that night and provided me with options going forward. Having a new two stage unit installed was the best option for my home considering all the issues I was experiencing and would continue to experience with my current unit. Bianca in the office was a great communicator and coordinator. My new unit was ordered and installed within two weeks. The two young men who installed it did exactly what they said they were going to do and visibly worked great together as a team. Kyle comes out every six months for two years for the preventative maintenance that was included in the contract. He is always very thorough. Putting my trust in Kyle's diagnosis and Total Assurance's product and staff was a winner for me. I'm a year in with the new unit and couldn't be more pleased. I have had nothing but trouble with my HVAC system for the last 6 years. So I've seen quit a few. When our HVAC blower motor decided to take a dive, he quickly diagnosed the situation and explained the options I was faced with. He noticed little things within my system and gave me some tips on how to address them. Going forward I will be using Jonsair for yearly maintenance and any other issues that may arise. My situation called for complete removal of all existing cellulose insulation, resealing of all ceiling boxes, electrical conduits, HVAC ducts, control, power and refrigerant lines and brand new insulation. In addition, they sealed in a patio area that had insulation issues as well. A small leak was discovered in the roof after insulation removal. Philip drove over hour round-trip to his house and brought back metal roofing mastic. I was able to repair the roof and have piece of mind. Work was validated by an infrared camera and hot spots were identified / treated with additional sealing and insulation. In terms of results: Humidity has dropped on average between 8-10% due to sealing (see before and after photo) Rate of heat gain has also dropped substantially (see before and after photo) In addition, I took temp readings of the ceiling drywall: Before - 8 degrees difference in the hottest rooms of the house After - 2 degrees different or less in the hottest rooms of the house Lastly, Philip and the crew added extra insulation over the garage, cleaned and sealed the outside patio with no up charge. The crew also did a great job of clean up and removed an entire dumpsters worth of trash (from previous projects) at no additional cost. The crew showed up on time and finished when they said they would. I received regular updates and photos on a continuous basis. I was also able to do a 'crawl' through with the crew on several occasions. These guys are the real deal and a unicorn when it comes to finding good people.
