We engaged James' company, All Pros Solar, to handle this for us. James quoted us $10,000, which we agreed to pay in cash. The first day of the job, James showed up bright and early to collect payment upfront in full. After that we never saw him again and our job remains incomplete. We were promised a turnaround time of one week. He will not answer calls, texts or emails. Apparently, he did not pay his crew either, which is one of the reasons the job remains incomplete. We have since found out that there are other reputable companies that would have done the job for a third of the price -- and would have actually completed the job on time. Consumers beware.

It was kind of my fault, and I'll take a bit of responsibility for the issues - to a certain extent. My problem is... I didn't design this system. The recirculate function, and freeze plug systems weren't my ideas. I'm sure that the draining of the system would have been better attempts at keeping the system from causing issues, but I was led to believe that these systems were sufficient. My system froze and as a result the pipes froze and burst and there was a complete system failure. The good news was that I was under warranty. The bad news was that Compass Solar and the company that was "warrantying" my system had no problem gouging me. The estimated price to replace my system was over 1300 bucks. I decided to go NOT green to replace the system. I'm 60. I'm going to die before I can make the difference. Good luck young people. Greed takes precedence in today's market. You're going to pay for it in the long run. I'l be long dead.

The problem came to light after the service manager of 6 years and the other employee saw it was not installed correctly and had no sealant. Naturally 1 owner agreed they needed to fix the approx 23k damage on our house. I paid them 30k plus for the privilege of this frustration which looks like is going the legal route. Bottom line the first rate service manager has quit as he can not stomach the fraudulent actions of this company . So my system has been down for closing in on 2 months DOING NOTHING. We have been waiting since august to receive our hot water heater. I called and was belittled and insulted while being told by the boy on the phone that I was doing those things to him. All we are wanting is the device contractually offered us. The employee that sold us the panels told us we needed the heater to be able to have full efficiency of the panels. I told the young man on the phone I was told that and again he said his employees are not a reflection of his business. He has no liability for what they say or do within the sale, only what the contract says. He then said "you DID read your contract right?" The boy on the phone was condescending, insulting, and rude. I told him I would have to seek legal advice for what my next option was and he told me "you probably don't even have enough money to get a lawyer." I was then told "yeah others have tried this and they don't win, you won't either, we have done this before, and when we win you will be paying our legal fees." That tells me they might be on the legal end of a lot deals that they are not fulfilling. Emails have been vague and the company refuses to give us a time frame for the product. After the absolutely unacceptable treatment by this company I would highly advise to stay away from this company for your solar needs. I was told that they contract everything out so I am required to go to the subcontractor for any follow through. After $30,000.00 and a mortgage payment long investment we still have not completed the process of "going solar." The sales people are beyond friendly and very smooth operators. Don't be fooled. This company was scheduled by ServPro for my home. They failed to confirm with ServPro when they…read morewould be arriving. I wasn't even given a specific day. I returned home from a short trip to a client call within my neighborhood to find a red van parked in my driveway and a man--who identified himself as being from Jimmy Lumley Plumbing--already inside my home, in my kitchen where I couldn't see him as he was behind the partition. I had received no notice, confirmation, or prior communication from Servpro or anyone else involved in the project indicating that a plumber was scheduled to arrive today. Let me be clear: He did knock on the door, but he did not ring the doorbell, which would have triggered my security system notification. When no one answered, he proceeded to let himself into my home without consent. My 19-year-old daughter was home and asleep in her bedroom, unaware that a stranger had entered the house. When I questioned him, he stated: "This is my fourth house today--I don't even remember," and admitted he didn't see a doorbell, even though he previously claimed he knocked AND rang the bell. When I called ServPro, they confirmed they were also not informed of his scheduled visit. This is an unacceptable breach of safety, privacy, and protocol. No individual should be entering a home without explicit permission, especially when no notice has been given to the homeowner or the rebuild team coordinating the project. The fact that someone was already inside my home when I returned--with no explanation--was both alarming and distressing.
