When you leave the Vevey train station, head north and follow the little bird feet patterns on the ground to the Nest Museum. There, you'll explore the history of Nestle, starting with animations in dark corridors narrating Nestle's milk powder invention and ending in a futuristic upstairs space that resembles clouds. I learned that Nestle has basically acquired every food company worth acquiring, and in the past century they've had tremendous growth. There's free kit-kats and lots of photo opportunities, such as a tree made from colorful product packaging, to a giant milk powder container, to little carts to sit on. There's also a gorgeous cafe downstairs, which changes its ceiling decor every once in awhile. This museum is great for families and Instagram-lovers. read more
