Absolutely incompetent company. I never usually write reviews as long as a product works or a job gets done, even if it's not the greatest but this has been an absolute mess. They sent me a bass pedal in destroyed packaging -- it had holes before I even opened it. Fine, international shipping, things happen. I plug the product in using a 9v source like the pedal asks for. Doesn't work. Then I try a 12v, which is also acceptable according to the specs. Still doesn't. I try my other pedals and they work fine. They then proceed to gaslight me for possibly destroying it by using "improper polarities" which doesn't even make sense -- power sources don't work that way, I'm literally an electrical engineer and I've been using pedals for 3 years now and even worked on some. Then they demand that I research the cost of the return (already unreasonable) and I'm expecting that they'll ask me to ship it in which case I'm planning to go full Karen on them. I've never had a worse experience than with this company, and I've ordered TONS of musical gear. I don't know if this is a European thing or just this company but I advise others to stay away from this horrible service. I wanted to like them because of their YouTube channel but this is inexcusable.

I bought a Harley Benton Fusion III HH FRB guitar. It's a reddish brown with dark brown stripes or at least that's what it showed in the picture. The YouTube videos I seen of this guitar everyone is happy with their guitars are like the one I seen on the picture I ordered from. What I got was a yellow and red sunburst guitar and the two piece veneer didn't even match. On one side the stripes stand out and on the other side they don't. I got ahold of Thomann and complained and they said to send some pictures so I did then I called them back. The woman on the other end of the phone had the nerve to say I don't see anything wrong with that. Not to mention the other pictures of the other flaws that I sent to her. Unbelievable! The most they would do is offer me $50. U.S.dollars to keep it. What gets me when I talked to her she said they only had one red one back in the warehouse, so if it looked like what I ordered then all they had to do was send that one and there wouldn't be any problem. With some friends help they said for me to contact my bank so I did. So far I got my money back and my bank is doing a investigation on everything. Wish me luck!

The Box Monitor Speakers Wir haben die Monitor Speakers von Thomann, The Box Pro DSP. Sie haben keinen einzigen Event durchgestanden. High cost of shipping and I had to pay an additional Tariff cost that was not mentioned. The shipping cost and tariff added up to the cost of the instrument. Not mentioning the tariff cost is deceiving. On top of that the instrument was defective. The problem was a loose wire in the plug in section. It was an easy fix. It was easier than sending it back for a refund. read more

Incredible service, never had any kind of experience of online shopping ever before. The store has like 95% everything you need to make a perfect guitar sound, prices are good, shipping prices are low, but more important they have the best customer support service I've ever seen. If anything happens to the gear, they have extended warranty, if there was a mistake and the order came wrong, they will replace it. They are never rude, always polite and thoughful! I would like to give special thanks to Claudia Riese and Dina Alsbiti for helping me in my situations, as they paid attention to the matters and came to the right verdicts. You can never think that such a huge warehouse sends you 100% correct items, there is always a small possibility of a sort error, wrong codes, but that's when this guys come for you to help! In my country we have very rude customs workers and deliverymen, they can damage the boxes, open them, damage the gear. So Thomann takes care of that, you can try and go find any other store that cares so much, definitely not every if there is any. So thank you for making life so much easier by keeping fantastic gear and stuff in one place, keeping good price for it, great price for the fastest shipping, giving the best customer support services for this gear. Again, always polite and thoughful people are working at Thomann. Thank you! Oh and I forgot to tell you. THE BEST WEB SITE! It's CRAZY GOOD - you can keep your stuff easily in favourites, label it, sort it. You can see the top sellers for every cathegory! I bought a Clavia Nord Stage 4 88 in january 2024 and I have had to return it 3 times so far to be repaired. They have the worst customer service that I have ever encountered. Terrible communication and very very slow to return back to me. I have not played it for nearly 4 months. read more

I'm not the type who spends ahead on much of anything. If anything at all. So when I pay I expect a mutual transaction on the spot. That is not what happened. And I can't reach anyone. I'm pissed tbh. Now while they are saying they did not go forward with the transaction it is telling me I have been deducted the funds when I call my bank. So. Where tf is my product? By the time this gets righted I'll have canceled the transaction with my bank and or reversed it. And I'll have decided to stay far way from anything this company sells or is thinking of selling. And write something so searing it will make this comment seem like an introduction. Cause why tf do I not have my money and not have the software I ordered. Fruity loops producer edition. And I almost spent more but am glad I did not. AND IT HAS BEEN HOURS WITH MY FUNDS DEDUCTED AND NO EMAIL FOR MY SOFTWARE!!!!!!! F THIS COMPANY! read more

So I placed and order for a guitar about 6 weeks ago, it never got here so I check my CC if it was charged, it was and refunded since they never bothered to inform me if was not available I bought another one else where now out of the blue the charge my card and ship it! I told them on thank you I got one elsewhere they told me tough luck there is a $217 fee to return it. If you what a guitar whenever they are good and are ready on their terms to ship you one these, then theses are your guys, you'll get it when they are ready and not before. They won't even bother to inform you if or when it will get here. Do yourself a favor if you must have one buy it from amazon or another sell who at the least acts like they care about the customer. read more

The prices are good, particularly for customers in the US, but the service is AWFUL. Their return policy for defective gear is that the CUSTOMER pays for return shipping. That's right, for DEFECTIVE gear returns. This happened to me: a piece of equipment that I ordered and received defective would have cost almost as much for me to ship back to Germany as the product costs. For reference, return shipping for a 25 pound piece of equipment was right at $300. So a cautionary tale, DO NOT order anything from Thomann that you wouldn't want to pay return shipping for. On top of that, the support staff is completely unsympathetic and detached, hiding behind their arcane return policy (I'm looking at you, Helena Wragg). Not planning on doing business with them again. I'm sticking with Sweetwater, where the returns are easy, free, and friendly. I'll pay the 5% more than ordering from Thomann. read more

Incredible! I'm in the US, ordered like 5 days ago a little Korg Synth, and it already arrived. I was a bit sceptic at first, because I wasn't sure if "Thomann.com" might be a fake page, not the real Thomann.de, but after some research I was convinced, and do not regret it. Best price on the whole internet for what I was looking for, saved a lot of money. Had to cancel my order at first because of a checksum error, and the next day deal was gone, but contacted the support, and they gave me back the good deal. Nice! Though I can not much say about warranty, or what happens if the product would have come damaged, or to be returned etc. but I assume these guys would make it right. Thanks read more

I was impressed by their prices and very quick shipping to the USA. I received my product and it arrived in bad shape. I chatted in and provided them with pictures to show the damage. The level of customer service on my issue was bad. Jean Crozet was below standards with how he handled the issue. This was my first purchase through your company. Up until now I've had nothing but positive experiences with this company, I've purchased several of their Harley Benton instruments all in wonderful condition and a fantastic value for their prices. This lined up with everything I'd heard about the Thomann company online, so I was quite excited to purchase more from them. This being said when I purchased this BRAND NEW Harley Benton Fusion II Tele, what I received was something that could only be considered a B-stock product. There are numerous, highly noticeable flaws in its bright finish, as well as discoloration and smudges that are in the paint itself. These are factory flaws that were blatantly disregarded during what Thomann calls a "quality inspection of every instrument that leaves our store". So naturally I assumed that once I provided pictures of said damages, I would be able to exchange the guitar for the exact same model. One without such ugly finish issues. So I reached out to their customer service department only to be told that for a new $300 guitar, that some flaws are acceptable, and that the manufacturers specifications allowed for such things. Does that sound right, or even remotely fair? A brand new instrument arrives with spots and flaws in its paint and THESE ISSUES ARE ACCEPTABLE? Thomann's "specialists" claim these to be something a customer should just accept from a BRAND NEW INSTRUMENT. This is not a used guitar, or a factory B-Stock. To add insult to injury, I was offered a $40 discount. Not even covering the cost of shipping the instrument, let alone compensate for these issues. So my options are sit with a guitar with marks all over it and smudges in its paint, or pay for the shipping to send it back to Germany and hopefully get reimbursed for the cost? I am absolutely livid, after all the high praise this company receives from YouTubers and other reviewers, and with many prior purchases myself, I expected so much more. As a touring musician, I would hope that a company taking pride in its quality product and service would do much much better by their customers. What a complete disgrace. read more

La calidad del producto es buena. Pero el servicio de venta es muy malo. Pague un servicio de envío del pedido y no recibí servicio contratado. Su proveedor de envíos (Correos/DHL) ha mentido dejando un aviso de paso indicando que estuviéramos ausentes. Toda la mañana estuvimos en casa y nadie ha llamado a la puerta. Será para no portar un pedido voluminoso. En la web de seguimiento (DHL) aparecía que van a hacer un segundo intento. No lo han hecho. Total tuve que acudir al correos 2 veces. Primera vez para intentar recibir el paquete y averiguar que pasa, pero sin éxito - decían que estaba en reparto, que no es cierto. Al día siguiente tuve que venir otra vez de propio para finalmente recibir el paquete. Total: - No se entregó el pedido al domicilio y tuve que venir de propio a la oficina de correos - No se hizo el segundo intento de entrega - Tuve que venir a buscar el paquete 2 veces. A pesar de que ya tengo el pedido recibido, no han cumplido con el servicio de envío contratado y pagado. Durante varios días estuve reclamando el servicio de envío a atención al cliente para que se devuelva los gastos de envío, pero creen más en las mentiras de proveedor (correos/DHL) que al cliente que ha pagado. read more

When I received the product, I realized that they sent me a damaged product. I contacted immediately. days passed, no answer. Then they asked for a photo, I sent it. again no answer. I write, I ask, I want to get information, but no one is interested. Don't you have an exchange or return program? I want what is my legal right. You have sent a problem product. I'm sure it's not the first time you've done this. What procedure do you apply in these cases? it shouldn't be this hard. You haven't been able to send even a simple email for days. I can't hear from you. You sent a damaged product and also confiscated my money. This is your crime. You don't care about the customer. be respectful of the law. I am being punished for your mistake. Are you going to solve the problem by acting like nothing happened? read more

if I had to rate them a while ago I'd say 5/5, recently it's just disappointment after another, I don't wanna hit them with a 1 just for the old times sake, but really their service became bad compared even to an ordinary store! well first they can't track their inventory, not even close, I mean they don't know what they have and what they don't have there... I've purchased items "on stock" and had to cancel 5 months later cuz I got tired of waiting... they can't give an estimate, I mean months passes and they keep saying next week....., their reply rate and speed dropped by a lot, they don't respond the way they used to, and they didn't wanna post my review that said what (which I can understand, maybe it's not a product related so that's fine). I don't wanna give up on them just yet but can't deal with them either.... will see read more

They had the rare-in-the-US rotary trumpet case I needed, a green product from an excellent German manufacturer (Jakob Winter), at far less than the recommended price, and I had it in my hands in New York less than 48 hours after placing the order. I ordered a stringm paid $25 for shipping, it arrived In a large envelope, The envelope was bent, soiled, cleared stepped on, crushed. And so was the string inside. No hard packaging, NOTHING, just a delicate string thrown straight into a non-padded large envelope, floating inside. I wrote to suggest they secure the string between two cheap rigid card boards, as Shar Music or other reputable online sellers would do. In response, they wanted a picture to prove I was not lying?!?!? When I was just making a suggestion??!?!? Great! I installed the string because I needed it, but I had to reorder another string from a reputable seller. Thomann is trash. Customer service is trash. As if any one would lie about such poor treatment of a string purchase, then write a suggestion to help them improve?!?! Spare yourself the aggravation. read more

I bought a brand new drum kit from Thomann, which arrived within the estimated timeframe. Upon inspection however, the drum kit was damaged, and I contacted Thomann to report it. The returns policy quoted in response is clearly designed to deter customers from returning faulty goods. I was asked to take the drum kit (which I explained would not fit into my car) to a drop-off point, after which I was told shipping would take 15 working days. Only after the item is inspected will Thomann even consider shipping a replacement. I explained that this was not acceptable, as I needed a drum kit for use very soon. Despite my request, Thomann are not prepared to ship a replacement as quickly as they were able to ship the drum kit when I first bought it, or arrange for collection of the damaged drum kit. I therefore have had a damaged drum kit that I have not been able to use, sat in its original packaging, for two weeks. Evidently, Thomann are happy to take your money, but treat you as an inconvenience once they have it. I have used Thomann in the past, and have otherwise had a positive experience, but I will never be using Thomann again. read more

Warning Bought a speaker from thomann and the amplifier died within months, money back wasn't possible (since it has been more than 30 days) so repair was the only option for me. 4 weeks later I got it back, now with several scratches and dents. After the first venue with the speaker the amplifier broke again. They still refuses to give me my money back, partially since "there is scratches on the speaker", Scratches they made. Now I have to wait over 4 weeks again for another repair. I've now found that this particular model is known to fail due to poorly designed amplifier, I just want my money back so I can buy a speaker that I can use without having to send it in for repair everytime. Worst experience I've ever had with a company. read more

I ordered a guitar back on October 3rd 2018. They declared the first order lost in the mail and sent me a replacement on Dec 3rd 2018. It's now Dec 19th 2018. Tracking shows it's still in German Customs. Every time I reach out to them they give me ridiculous answer for the delay. This was the last one and I quote " Thank you for your e-mail. It's saying the same status because it has not been scanned from your local post yet. In case you want a refund, please refuse the parcel on arrival and once we have it back here, we are going to refund you the amount. Kind regards, They are trying to tell me that guitar left German Customs, went through US Customs and is at my local post office and didn't get scanned once. I will never use this company again. Something weird is going on over there. read more

It wasn't easy to find a way to solve my problem, but both sides kept an open mind and our focus on a solution instead of the problems. I also need to recognize that Thomann has always replied back to me timely, in a moment when many companies would just leave me hanging (when things got really complicated). They persevered and made sure to see it through. In my review I was advocating for myself, and whether it made a difference or not to the outcome, the fact is that the email conversation led us to end this in good terms. read more

Fraudulent warranty policy. They advertise a 3-year warranty but fail to honor it after only 6 months when the product failed, despite the product not being excluded from it. Avoid! Cannot be trusted! read more

I found this retailer to be very honest in their advertising and communication. The service was on par with the USA retailers with which I have dealt. Once the out of stock item arrived from China, Thomann shipped it, with my other 3 items that I ordered, within 2 business days and it arrived at my home in the USA on the fifth day after shipment from Germany. It was obvious that the package had been opened at least once, and resealed, before arriving. However, all items arrived in perfect condition. I will do business with this company again. read more

Horrible service. Watch there return policy. Don't buy if overseas. I was totally misinformed about my package delivery. My guitar's tracking service did not work properly. The US Postal Service sent it to hurricane ravaged Puerto Rico!!!! Then had me sign for it before I could look at the box because it was behind the counter. They placed a note apologizing for the delay on the damaged box but NEVER explained why there was a delay. The company won't honor there money back guarantee without me shipping it back to them AT MY COST! That would cost me more than the guitar! Also don't take your equipment to a local luthier for a set up because they claim it voids there warranty. read more

I placed an order at Thomann for about 700€, invoiced on 17/12/2020, 2 months later I still haven't received anything. As a consumer, you pay the costs of their dishonest and incompetent UPS provider. The Thomann after-sales service does not make any gesture, nor return the products with another carrier, nor refund. read more

My order was supposed to be delivered today. Never showed up. UPS E-mailed me an update to tomorrow afternoon. Now it'll be delayed four days until Monday. Unreliable customer service. I ordered from here because it would have arrived by today. Tomorrow was acceptable. Four days later is not. Once they get your money they don't care about whether you get it in a timely manner when they said you would. read more

I purchased a guitar which had a number of faults which are very obvious and should not have passed Quality Control at The Factory, or Thomann's own checks prior to sending it to me. The black paint on two of the holes for the neck screws is chipped. - This neck has either been removed, or the paint was chipped at the factory. The blue stain has bled into the wood-coloured binding in the upper cutaway. The screws and washers which hold the neck to the body are tarnished. The guitar has 3 pickups, one of which is missing the plastic film protection that comes on all pickups of all new guitars. At the time of placing the order, there was a B Grade Guitar on offer from the seller. When I returned to the seller's website to report the faults, the B Grade was no longer available. - I strongly suspect that the seller sent me the B Grade, despite that I paid full price for a brand new unused and fault free item! I am 59 years of age. - I have played guitar for 50 of those years, have been to university to study Jazz and Popular Music Performance and have been a successful Full Time Professional Guitar Teacher since 2003. I have owned played and handled many guitars. I contacted Thomann to attempt to resolve this. - The only resolution that they have offered, was for me to return the guitar at my own cost and to additionally incur customs clearance charges! Thomann claims that the faults are minor imperfections which are common on a guitar at this price point. - I don't consider them to be minor at all. I purchased the same make and model guitar from the seller on 20/07/2020 at a similar price, which is flawless. - Three of my students have the same make and model of guitar, which are flawless. The same make and model of guitar is well reviewed independently and there is no suggestion of common faults of any nature. - Once I opened a PayPal claim for a full refund and return at Thomann's costs, they agreed to take the guitar back and supply a postpaid label. The guitar was returned to Thomann's UK address as per their own label, which they and DHL Tracking have confirmed. - However, Thomann are now refusing my refund until the guitar is returned to Germany, clears Customs and arrives back at their German address. -This stance has no basis in morals, or legislation! Like many businesses, you don't see the worst until something goes wrong! - This is like when The CEO of The Ratners Jewellery Empire committed Business Suicide when he stated that his Company sells cheap rubbish! read more

I ordered £500 worth of music equipment to the UK. It arrived and I was landed with another £100 bill for the ups man as you haven't organised the import duty situation. I rang customer service there was nothing they could do. I googled this on your website and it says absolutely nothing so I have gone on every website I am trying to make sure nobody else suffers from this. read more

I bought a keyboard bstock. When i got it it was automatically swithing off. I send it back and they theoretically did repair. They sent it back to me with exactly the same problem. I had to send it back again. They did not care at all..if you buy a cheap instrument it may be ok read more

Very bad. I bought a bass from them, advertised new. It arrived used and broken. It wasnt a cheapie either. Customer service is hopeless, issue has no hope of being resolved, communication broken down. Just a warning to others, DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. read more

I want to thank Thomann for the efficiency of shipping my new Risa Tenor SC-Style CB electric ukulele so quickly. I received it today 2 business days after shipment and I am absolutely thrilled and love this instrument! It's beautiful and fun to play. The quality is more than amazing. A solid, well built instrument sturdy and strong with no flaws at all. It was very difficult for me to find one in the U.S. and I never did but I had so desperately been wanting one for months. I started looking abroad thinking that perhaps in Germany I could find it at one of their online music stores since Risa is a German brand. I then found Thomann. I was so happy and elated to know they had them in stock. I called them just to make sure and was delighted to get very friendly and informative customer service. To me that counts for a lot. After ordering the process went as smoothly and quickly as one can hope for and they did not hesitate to ship my order immediately. It only took 2 business days from Germany to California! I was amazed and pleasantly surprised at the lightening speed shipment. On top of that the instrument was packed with care and padded as much as possible so no damage could occur during shipment. Thank you Thomann for making my dream come true and actually owning one of these beautiful instruments after months of searching! Thomann telling to return the gear I bought from them with no explanation about what they think is wrong with it. I contacted them with some concerns but the only answer I got, after a month, was that they wanted me to send it back. And now they are delaying my refund. It makes it impossible for me to buy the gear somewhere else. This is really really bad! read more

Die Gründe, warum ich bisher Thomann-Kunde war sind klar: riesiges Angebot, teilweise exotische, schwer zu bekommende Artikel, starke Preise, scheinbare Kompetenz und Service. Leider sieht es in der Bestell-Realität anders aus. Inzwischen läuft die dritte Bestellung die bei der Abwicklung komplett daneben läuft. Beispiel: Artikel gekauft, Garantiefall - ein Gurt war durch Belastung gerissen. Ich solle den defekten Gurt einsenden, man wolle mir einen neuen Gurt schicken. Der gerissene Gurt war für Heavy Duty-Einsatz ausgelegt und musste locker eine 10kg-Tasche halten, hatte handteller. Was bekomme ich als Ersatz? Einen Riemen mit Plastikhaken, der an einen Kinderturnbeutel passen würde. Nach etlichem zähen Schriftverkehr und Telefonaten erhielt ich einen höherwertigen Gurt. Dauerte insgesamt fast 2 Monate. Anders Beispiel: Mich über ein Detail an einer Gitarre informiert per Mail an eine Adresse. Erhielt 3 verschiedene Antworten von 3 verschiedenen Thomann-Angestellten. Eine Info über die weitere Verfügbarkeit, die ich gerne gehabt hätte, wurde mir leider überhaupt nicht beantwortet. Einen Tag später bekomme ich aber eine Versandbenachrichtigung! Sofort zwei Mails an Thomann geschickt, blieben unbeantwortet. Vier Anruf-Versuche, bis einer der Abteilungsangestellten den Hörer abnahm. Dann bekomme ich nicht viel mehr als ein müdes "Einfach nicht annehmen". Sehr ärgerlich, da der Artikel das letzte Exemplar war, ich noch etwas auf ihn sparen wollte und nun bange ob er nicht als Versandrückläufer als Angebot an jemand anderen rausgehauen wird. Beispiel 3: Inzwischen habe ich die o.g. Gitarre zwar erworben, aber wieder mit krassen Komplikationen. Habe mit meiner Bestellung eine Information über einen Finanzkauf gewünscht. Bekomme nach 3 Tagen eine Standardmail mit den Konditionen, die meine genaue Frage aber garnicht beantwortet. Wieder eine eMail an meine Sachbearbeiterin. Außer der gleichen Konditionsinfomail am nächsten Morgen wieder keine Antwort. Nun eine Mail geschrieben, dass ich doch lieber sofort komplett, unokompliziert zahlen möchte, sende vertrauensvoll meine Kontodaten mit. Wieder keine Antwort. Also wieder der Griff zum Telefon und sogar die Absenderin der Standard-Emails am Apparat. Offenbar schien sie aber weder meinen Status zu kennen (keine Mails gelesen?) noch sich dafür zuständig zu fühlen ("Leite sie an eine Kollegin weiter"). Habe dann plötzlich jemand Dritten in der Leitung der sich die ganze Geschichte nochmal erklären lässt. Muss meine Kontodaten nochmal durchsagen (gut, dass ich daheim war!) und nun scheint die Bestellung auf den Weg gebracht. Hat nur etwa eine Woche bis jetzt gedauert. Fazit: Hatte sicherlich einige korrekte Bestellvorgänge bei Thomann. Sobald man aber in irgendeiner Weise auf die menschlichen Teile des Versandablaufs zurückkommen muss ist die Lage desolat. Das Service-System ist für mich als Kunden frustrierend, auf Mails wird unzufriedenstellend oder garnicht geantwortet, am Telefon hat man gleichgültige Mitarbeiter und nie den eigentlich Zuständigen am Apparat. Discounter-Zustände. Schade nur, dass Thomann mit seiner Website den Eindruck erweckt, dass der Service funktionieren würde. Werde mich sicherlich davon distanzieren, nochmal bei Thomann zu bestellen. read more

I have spent over 2 thousand euros withThomann over the last couple of years and by and large the service has been reasonable. However, you only really get to know a company when something goes wrong and you need some help. I recently Ordered a B stock LD Maui 5 go, listed as "may have some slight wear marks". It arrived with the control panel unattached to the body, all the screws were missing and the unit wouldn't charge the battery. Thomann told me I could send the unit back for them to assess. Before sending it back I looked at the feedback on repairs and found a significant number of people saying they sent the goods back using the label thomann sent them and the parcels mysteriously disappeared in transit. They were left with no goods and no refund. Some of these cases have been left unresolved for more than a year! What sort of company sends out products obviously not in a salable condition and then expects the customer to either spend months waiting on a resolution or risk the goods being reported as lost and being left with nothing. In order to be sure that I actually got some value for my hard earned money, I had the unit repaired at my own expense. Thomann haven't even offered a token payment to offset the cost and inconvenience. Is saving a few euro worth the risks of dealing with unscrupulous companies? I don't think so, I won't deal with them again. Before you buy, please have a look at the feedback from customers who have had issues, then decide for yourself read more

Have been a regular customer of Thomann since DEC 2024. Looking through my history, I see 46 orders with them in total. I've rated 111 products (some more than once ... and some duplicate items you only get to rate once ... and some that have fallen off the site as a product they no longer carry). The wife and I drove up there twice to complete large purchases and use a VAT form and avoid the 19% tax. In all that time I've never run into a problem with any of their team. Their staff go above and beyond. Everyone I've encountered possesses excellent English language skills. An employee did scold me for allowing their delivery service to drop-off boxes when not at home LOL. I have picked out a couple of two-star items, but have never tried using Thomann's return policy ... my fault/no need. I can usually get a better deal with Sweetwater, but then I have to wait weeks for it to be delivered and take the risk it'll be lost or damaged in shipping. Thomann can whoop Sweetwater's pricing when they're putting on a sale, too. It's good I'm not limited to using one or the other and can take advantage of the benefits both companies offer. Was frankly surprised to see so many one and two-star reviews for Thomann. I guess it sometimes takes only one bad experience to wreck a person's confidence/opinion. Cheers, Chris read more

Caveat Emptor UK buyers beware. Although prices seem good value, when there is an issue and something has to be returned then it can turn into a nightmare. I bought a Marshall JVM combo through Thomann and it developed a fault on the board - confirmed by an amp tech here in the UK. It took nearly 3 months to get Thomann to accept a return and when they arranged a courier to collect it they had to ask me after if it had actually been collected. I supplied them with a photograph of the courier scanning the return label. There didn't seem to be any integrated information with the courier. They then said it could take up to 20 working days (a month) for it to arrive at their warehouse. I waited the 20 working days without any update only to be told after that in fact it had been lost in transit somewhere and they didn't know where it was. They would raise an investigation with the courier company and then revert back to me with a resolution. I'm still waiting for that resolution which they have already said won't involve a replacement. So in summary, they don't know where my Marshall is, they won't replace it, they have the money and I've been without an amp since February. Buyers beware. read more

What can I say....I love Thomann Music! Living in NC, USA I deal with their International Sales and they are wonderful. I've actually purchased more of my musical needs from Thomann over the past year than any music store state side or local. I am blown away with the impeccable customer support they provide ALL customers. I was leary of purchasing my first guitar from them having only watched videos on their Harley Benton house brand but decided to take the plunge and order 2 guitars. They took just over 2 weeks to arrive in perfect condition, as promised by Thomann were nicely set up before shipping and the packing was awesome. The box carried some serious battle scars however it was packed so well that everything was perfect! I encourage my musician friends on this side of the pond to give Thomann a try....they have tons of their own branded items and an entire, extensive line of Harley Benton guitars; I now proudly play 6 of their awesome instruments both acoustic electric and electric. I have ordered electric guitars , acoustic guitars and a banjo so far from this magnificent company and I love the way they so professionally do their business. I have never once received an instrument that was a disappointment or was in any way below what I expected. Indeed, if truth be told the quality of their own brand : Harley Benton is far beyond what you would reasonably expect at the prices this wonderful supplier of musical happiness asks. I'm currently waiting on a Seagull S6 to arrive, I just ordered it a couple of days ago, and I can't wait to add it to my ever expanding orchestra. I always recommend Thomann to musician friends of mine and they ,too, can't get over the unbeatable quality of instrument for the dosh they ask. The existence of a company like this in our rip off world is such a blessing and I for one will never hesitate to enter their online shop for a good old rummage through their many treasures. If a certain beer company did music supplies then Thomann would most definitely be that supplier, probably! read more

Thomann has the team to keep their service on the top level, and I only have a great experience with them. My first order was in 2022, when I got a Korg L380U piano. My initial hesitation and concerns fully fade away when this large and heavy instrument was delivered to Armenia in perfect condition. In 2024, I made two other orders including 2 guitars, 2 modeling amps and accessories, all in good packaging and in the quality as advertized. I'm blowed away by the excellence of my HB guitars - TE-62DB and SC 550ii! The only issue I had was a factory defect with the PG Spark Go amp in my last order. It failed to shift stereo/mono in the app and the phone socket only had mono output. Thomann's customer support helped me greately with the warranty related investigation process. As the return shipment from Armenia would be quite costly, they just offered me to keep the defective and shipped another one, new and fully functional. What a great example of an awsome customer care and support! read more

Bei der ganzen Lobhudelei hier betreffend Kundenservice muss ich auch einmal eine andere Seite hervorheben. Bisher war ich immer zufrieden, doch dieses Mal bin ich echt enttäuscht. Vor einem Monat Gitarre ("sofort verfügbar") bestellt und bezahlt, die Lieferung blieb aus. Nachgefragt, erfahren dass die Gitarre nicht an Lager sei. Gewartet, bis das nächste angekündigte Lieferdatum überschritten war. Wieder keinerlei Infos von Thomann. Also wieder nachgefragt. Wieder eine laue Antwort, Ende Monat müsse das Instrument eintreffen. Wieder nichts geliefert, wieder keine Infos. Inzwischen steht beim Produkt seit drei Tagen wieder "sofort lieferbar", meine wurde aber wohl inzwischen vergessen (meine 1000 Ocken wurden aber natürlich vor einem Monat gleich abgebucht und einbehalten). Sorry, das ist KEIN guter Kundenservice, sondern wirklich ganz schlechter Stil. Die Vorfreude auf die neue Gitarre ist inzwischen verflogen, danke dafür. Nächstes mal wieder musicstore. read more

As a family we have been purchasing from Thomann since mid 2012 be it instruments or accessories. We have found them to be:- Excellent value for money, very rarely beaten on price. Brilliant when delivering goods, normally a 3 to 4 day arrival from order date and always packaged fantastically. Having an excellent range of products available, very rare that they do not have what we are looking for. Phenomenal when it comes to Customer Service. On the one occasion we did have a problem with an item, it was returned (at Thomann's expense) which was a very easy process and replaced before the original product had even been received back at Thomann. I cannot fault their Customer Service, it is second to none. To summarise the Company provides excellent products at very competitive prices with speedy delivery and most excellent customer service. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for musical instruments/accessories. read more

Von meinem ersten kleinen Homestudio an habe ich gern bei Thomann eingekauft. Besonders interessant für mich sind dabei spezielle Mikrofone und Mischpulte, die ich über den Onlineshop bestellt habe. Mein erstes Studio war sehr klein und lediglich für kleinere Podcast-Aufnahmen gedacht. Für unter 100 Euro hab ich bei Thomann dennoch so gutes Equipment bekommen, dass die Qualität selbst Radiomacher begeisterte. Mittlerweile habe ich ein USB Mischpult und ein besseres Mikrofon ebenfalls bei Thomann bestellt. Nicht nur die Preise haben mich dabei überzeugt, erneut zu bestellen. Auch die Lieferung ging schnell. Die Bezahlung über Thomann ist per Vorkasse, Kreditkarte, Nachnahme und Bankeinzug möglich. Außerdem gibt es eine 30 Tage Geld zurück Garantie. Die umfangreiche Auswahl lässt jeden Fan von Studioequipment und Musikinstrumenten staunen. So findet jeder zum günstigen Preis eine tolle Ausrüstung. read more

Currently I am trying to figure out how importing a Bass into the U.S.A. works and the final cost. In emailing the company it tool 5 days to get a actual response that was completely unhelpful. My first two emails were sent to different department. I initially emailed International Sales who took days to forward the email and due to lack of return I asked Guitar Sales if I contacted the correct e-mail first. They also just forwarded the email. Not even one of the replies were anything other then a copy and paste with out even the effort of using my name. My name is not only my email address but also signed. However they do have in each of the copy and pasted replies that "If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us, we're more than happy to help." even when they don't help with the question asked or show any kind of willingness. This shop is _not_ trustworthy. Ordered over a week ago, didn't receive my product. Got in contact with the Dutch support guy, told him my address again and asked how I could help to get my delivery done. Waited at home, blocked multiple days, no delivery. The "customer support" - I never experienced something like that. They call me by my first name and treat my without any respect, they tell me to contact UPS (which costs money to call them) and pick up the order by myself, in addition they tell me that they "did just fine and it's not their fault". I'm super angry. I lost days of time while dealing with this provider, waiting at home for my delivery, dealing with the unbearable support and now I still didn't receive any instrument from the 3 instruments I ordered. This is just a bad joke, but definitely not funny. read more

In einer mit Bandzubehör eher unterversorgten Gegend wie Steinfurt ist der Thomann-Versandhandel ein Segen. Die Bestellungen werden, wenn die Ware verfügbar ist, innerhalb eines Tages zugestellt. Es gibt vielfältige Zahlungsmöglichkeiten. Die Beratung am Telefon ist so Klasse und geduldig, dass wir sogar unser Mischpult dort bestellt haben. Auch im Falle eines Mangels (bei meinem Notenpult war eine Schraube nicht dabei) wurde nicht lange gefackelt und direkt nach meinem Anruf ein neues losgeschickt. Unkomplizierter geht es nicht. Tipp: Die Schnäppchen durchkämmen. Hier werden getestet Rückläufer und Ausstellungsstücke oft weit unter Neupreis verkauft. Einziger Nachteil: Versand ab 25 Euro. Da muss man manchmal ein bisschen sammeln, bis man die zusammen hat (oder mit Rasseleiern auffüllen ;-)). read more

Tienda de instrumentos musicales con buen servicio y gran variedad de productos. Los gastos de envío deberian ser gratuitos a partir de 50 euros. A parte de esto he comprado muchas veces y mi experiencia ha sido siempre positiva por lo que a pesar de existir otras tiendas similares yo siempre compro en thomann. En cuanto a la logistica, podría ser mas rápida y mejor, no es que sean lentos, de Alemania a España entregan en 10 dias, no que no me gusta es que la entrega la haga Correos ya que si no estás te toca ir a buscar el paquete tú, que para un cable no importa, pero para un ampli de guitarra de 40kg es un gran inconveniente. Deberían enviar a traves de DHL, MRW, Seur o similares que te lo entregan en casa si o si. A parte de esto, mi tienda favorita. read more

They just sold me a faulty B-Stock VOX AC30HW2x with loose pre-amp tubes clamps, didn't allow me to open it to sort it out, arranged a shipment back 5 days later, and instead replacing it for a new one of fixing it fast, Thomman opened a warranty case and left me in blanc. When I asked for news 3 weeks later they told me would take 3-4 weeks to repair. I bought a B-Stock 100€ cheaper than a regular unboxed item, with the advertised "all as new conditions". They have treated me very unprofessionally with huge disrespect, and I'm still waiting for the refund 5 weeks after purchase, and they won't even do any sort of compensation for having my 1.799€ for long. This is really pre-45 attitude. Thankfully not all Germans are the same as these bastards!!! read more

Thoman, DER Ort für alle Musiker und Musikliebhaber. Was man bei Thomann nicht bekommt, das gibt es wahrscheinlich auch gar nicht. Bei einer solchen Auswahl sollte man natürlich schon eine gewisse Vorstellung haben, was man sucht, ansonsten kann es durchaus passieren, dass man den ganzen Tag stöbert und am Ende ohne den gewünschten Artikel wieder nach Hause kommt, einfach weil man sich nicht entscheiden konnte. Wobei auch das nicht so schlimm wäre, dann stöbert man eben online weiter und lässt den Fund nach Hause liefern. Und sollte dann dich etwas nicht so se n, wie man es sich gewünscht hat, dann hilft der Kundenservice. Kurz: ich kaufe gerne bei Thomann, am liebsten direkt in Treppendorf, aber auch online, wenns nicht anders geht. read more

5 Sterne - Hervorragender Service bei Thomann! Ich habe bei Thomann ein E-Drum-Set bestellt und bin wirklich begeistert vom Kundenservice. Obwohl es massive Probleme mit der Lieferung durch UPS gab, hat sich das Thomann-Team sofort gekümmert und alles in die Wege geleitet, um das Problem zu lösen. Der Kontakt war schnell, freundlich und professionell - genau so stellt man sich guten Service vor! Die Kommunikation war transparent, und ich hatte jederzeit das Gefühl, dass mir wirklich geholfen wird. Am Ende habe ich mein Paket erhalten, und dafür ein großes Dankeschön an das Thomann-Team! He comprado online un banjo y me lo han enviado con el mástil con grietas profundas en la cabeza, que se romperá en breve con la tensión de las cuerdas. La única solución que me han dado es ir yo a depositar a Correos el paquete de la devolución. Hace más de dos semanas que lo he enviado, sin tracking, porque ellos te lo hacen enviar a DHL de España y ahí ya ha llegado hace días. Así que sus errores los paga el cliente. Dicen que una vez lo reciban hacen la devolución o reemplazo en un plazo de dos o tres semanas. Servicio pésimo y banjo enviado roto de origen, porque venía perfectamente embalado y la caja no tenía ni una marca. Primera y última vez que les compro nada. read more

I placed an order, but few days before payment went through i notice the address was wrong. Straigh away i send email that address is wrong before payment went though + change address to correct one on their webside + next day contact support that address was wrong. They told me it is too late ( which was not to late as my parcel was not even send yet ) = nobody looked at my email... They told me to contact delivery company... They send, parcel from Germany to Ireland on the wrong address. Good selection of products but poor customer service. Good people from Irish Anpost helped me to direct my parcel, everything is easy if you're willing to help. read more

I usually end up buying at Thomann. I'm a metal drummer among others so I have a very large kit which is very $$$$$. So looking back i've been a very good customer for Thomann and was always satisfied and more! Their service level, the easiness with which you get the right person on the phone to do a special quotation on a large order, their stock is unparalleled, prices usually the lowest but frankly I hardly bother to shop around anymore. I know Thomann is lowest or almost lowest and I care much more about Thomann as a partner than run someplace else to save 10 euros. Oh, I forgot the ultra short delivery times to the Netherlands: often just 24 hours! read more
