We love Musical Me! Teacher Keeva and Mrs. Elizabeth are so warm, fun, and show they genuinely love what they do. Music class is the highlight of our week. They create such a welcoming, no-pressure environment where every child can participate in their own way. We see a huge boost in my daughter's confidence and social skills as the weeks go by. It's been a great place for us to meet new people and make new friends. The music is also fantastic. So catchy in fact, that I'm humming it all week. Soon after our daughter was born, friends began mentioning Music Together as a good baby activity. However in between naps and feeding, we didn't have a consistent schedule until she was about 6 months old. Music Together offers a free trial class, so we tried that first. My daughter appeared comfortable as soon as we entered the classroom- she was looking around, babbling, and playing with the welcome drum in the middle of the room. We did the trial class with Teacher Jenn and then signed up for summer classes with Teacher Elizabeth. Both teachers were energetic, patient, and welcoming. The class provides CDs and a song book each semester, so you can listen to the music at home or in the car. They also have an app you can use to download the songs. The song book has the lyrics as well as sheet music. The class always begins with a hello song and ends with a closing song. The rest of the songs vary depending on the semester/instrument focus. Teachers provide a variety of props: scarves, tambourines, egg shakers, etc. Any dirty/wet props go into the dirty bin to be disinfected. Parents- be prepared to move and get a mini workout! You will be lifting baby, rocking baby, and holding baby while dancing in a circle and across the room :D It's best if both you and baby wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in. They also ask that you remove your shoes when you enter the room. A few notes: -They offer the program in many South Bay cities. You can go through the city's park and recreation center to find the schedule. I saw classes in Saratoga, Los Gatos, Santa Cruz, and Cupertino -It's $120 for the summer session (6 classes) and $50 for the lab fee -Each class is scheduled for 45 minutes -A lot of the caregivers and babies have been attending for a number of semesters, so there is a nice parent & baby community -They have baby only classes for under 8 months, and mixed age classes for 0-5 years old. What a great program! We took Music Together from the time my son was about 18 mo to almost 3 years, and experienced several different music collections. The music itself is incredible and offers such a huge variety of music exposure. We took classes from both Elizabeth and Lizz - both were fantastic teachers! My son needed a little more help engaging in the program and both teachers were very sensitive to this need! We also took both the online and in person formats. In person worked better to engage my son but I think online would work too for many children, depending on personality. I would highly recommend trying this program! read more

I have been a grandparent involved in this program for 8 years and I'm on my third grandkid. The children could not be more different in personality, but they have all grooved on the Musical Me format in their own ways. The outdoor program has been a challenge, but after one or two sessions, my 2 1/2 year old grandson really got into it. And he's not much of a team player - beats to his own drum, which is all the better reason for this class! I would be remiss if I didn't credit Teacher Elizabeth with a truly gifted approach to children. She "gets" them, and they, her. We love MusicalMe / Music Together at the Campbell CC! We like the mixed group structure which is open to all ages up to a few years. They cover one cd per semester. The class is structured by a welcome song, a few songs from the CD (not all, but a few, which change every week), and then a closing song. Lots of body and hand movements and singing along. We've been attending for a few seasons and my now 2 year old has gotten so much out of the classes. She loves the songs (be prepared for them to be the only thing you listen to in the car) and knows all the lyrics. But what makes me realize she is truly learning is that she makes up her own lyrics to the songs, changes her tempo when singing, and uses different voices to sing! So far we've had really nice instructors that have been engaging and fun. The only thing I wish they had was a schedule of which CD/songbook they'll be covering each session so we don't attend the same one again. I'm not sure how they cycle through the albums but we've already been through 3 sessions/cds and I just want to make sure I don't sign up for the same class again because they make you buy the cd and songbook they teach in the class. read more

Musical Me/Music Together was one of the most invaluable classes we took as a family. We wanted to integrate music into our daughters life as early as possible, so we started when she was six months old and continued with the program until she was six years old! The teachers are some of the most kind, encouraging and understanding mentors, and the program engages kids of all ages in a really fun and interactive way. I have stayed in touch with the owner and am sad to hear that Musical Me is in danger of going out of business due to COVID-19. I guarantee the online platform is effective, educational and if you're hesitating to enroll because you don't want to put your child in front of a screen, it's worth it!! read more

We've taken classes with both Lizz and Elizabeth and both have been incredible. We are sad Elizabeth is cutting down her hours. She is phenomenal and we had her for years. We tried another teacher who was brand new last year since Elizabeth was cutting back on hours, but it was such a poor experience we just stopped going. We were so disappointed in fact that we called and were dismissed by the office, given the excuse that the teacher was observed in the class and did a great job. A complete lie, and yes my request for a refund or new teacher was denied so I was out $200. It's a music class, I get it if you're nervous , but why not play instruments and sing songs. I don't compare her or anybody to Elizabeth because E. in her own league but this teacher was totally disappointing and a poor reflection on Musical Me's decisions of new teacher selections. It makes me uneasy to sign up knowing we can't do any more classes with Elizabeth since both our kids go to school until 13O. read more

As a grandmother I have been delighted by the musical development I've observed as a result of attending regular MusicalMe classes in Santa Cruz with my grandchildren. During class my 2 year old granddaughter watches intently and about half-way through class starts to move her body and vocalize along with the group. Then at home I hear her singing the songs to herself and trying the ideas expressed in class. She asks for lullabies at nap time and has a repertoire of her favorite songs. Her older brother who is 5 loves to get in on the action, making up his own words and actions to the melodies he's heard. The classes held in the park are delightful with wonderful teachers and families attending. At home materials support continued music play and learning. My daughter and I love our Canta y Baila Conmigo class with Melissa. We sing the songs together and class is a highlight of our week. Lizz vets her teachers personally, so you're ensured an even experience, whether you're taking class (or a free makeup lesson!) in Los Gatos, Saratoga or Felton. So much more than song circle....this is early brain development activity with a structured and intentional approach. I can't speak highly enough to this program and the instructors. We started class with our daughter when she was 2.5 months old, and even at that time I would clearly see her behavior and activity and "speaking/singing" shift for several hours after every class. Now, just after age 2, her verbal and musical ability are unreal. She speaks (and sings) in full, grammatically correct sentences, sings percussion rhythms that we've taught her spontaneously, and makes up songs that incorporate things she's processing (from the playground, from interactions with people, from events such as birthdays) and sings them at the top of her lungs. : ) Her love of music, rhythm, and dance are clear to everyone who knows her, and nothing is more apparent than the way this has influenced her brain development towards a love of learning. read more

I cannot day enough good things about this program. We went to the free Mommy and Me meetup when he was 5-6 months old and immediately signed up for classes. He's 2 years and 3 months old now and has been going to Teacher Elizabeth T.'s class since he was 6 months. Not only does he adore it, he learns music and social and emotional skills from class. Also, Teacher Elizabeth is Amazing!! She's kind, patient and excellent at holding the kids to developmentally appropriate standards. She plays multiple instruments and is so smart and enthusiastic. They present more than your average children's music, with music from all over the world in a variety of styles and languages. The kids especially enjoy the opportunity to use instruments and dance! I absolutely love this program!! My oldest went through all 3 years of the program and with my youngest I have been on and off, but I couldn't stay away and we are on again! My son has been a part of Music Together/MusicalMe since he was 8 months old - he's now 3 years old! The Santa Cruz location, which is where we've been going for about a year now is fantastic! This is a special community resource with amazing teachers and wonderful music for children. I have been taking my daughter since she was 6 months old and I truly believe her advanced vocabulary and social skills at age 2.5 are in part from her exposure to this brilliant music program. Lizz and Jessica are talented, fun, and darling with children. We sing day and night, in the car, at grandma's house, and even at school where she is teaching her friends some of her favorites. The CDs introduce great music and the music books are my daughter's favorite thing. We look at each of them every night before bed time. Music Together was highly recommended to me by several other moms I know, so we decided to give it a try! And we had a wonderful summer semester with Teacher Katlynn! My child was 14/15 months during the semester. The class had students of various ages ranging from under one year old to around four years old. It was a great opportunity for my little one to burn off some energy, dance, play with instruments, and meet new friends. By the 6th week, she was dancing to all of the songs, mimicking the sounds she heard (we do listen to the cd at home and in the car) and showing great interest in Teacher Katlynn's guitar. We highly recommend Teacher Katlynn - She has been enthusiastic and patient with her class and she is a wonderful singer/guitarist. read more

We first heard about MusicTogether through my stroller strides classes ( which are also fabulous). We started my daughter at 8 months- she could barely sit up. She has been going with her daddy for a few months now and it has been the most memorable, joyful and bonding experience for them. We have really seen the connection she has made with music and how musical she has gotten. The classes also teach you how to be silly, interact, play with your young kids. Also, how to make everything fun and musical for them. Our child is now 17 months and absolutely loves it. It has been a sweet ride watching her progress. I have been going to Music Together classes in Santa Cruz County for 16 years. My fifth child is now being given the gift of hands on early music education. This research based program is the highlight of my two year old's week. She has been going to classes since she was a few months old. She loved to watch the instructor, bigger kids, and parents, sing and make music. She took it all in with smiles and giggles. Now, she revels in being able to make her music and sing the songs. She always requests to listen to the current CD collection in the car and often initiates singing a Music Together song wherever and whenever. Besides being fun, Music Together is providing the foundation for my daughter to grow into her full music potential. My three oldest all love participating in musical theater and my fourth is on the same path. I give Music Together classes and their amazing instructors a lot of the credit for that. I am so thankful to be able to give the gift of music to my children. Teacher Lizz and her staff, whom she selects only the best (never had a subpar teacher-EVER), train to know the ins and outs of introducing preschoolers the love and joy of music. read more
