9 years ago, my dog was diagnosed with cancer, and our veterinarian put us on Coriolus Super Strength. My dog beat cancer and the odds, and I kept him on Coriolus Super Strength for just over the past 9 years. I ordered 6 bottles at a time to get the "buy 5 get 1 free," since this product is not cheap. I also order a few months in advance of my current stash running out, since they've had supply issues in the past. I had just placed an order during the first half of June 2022, when my dog was unexpectedly diagnosed with lung cancer (totally unrelated to this first cancer in 2013. He went downhill rapidly, and had a seizure and neurological issues and the oncologist thought it had metastasized to his brain. He also had trouble maintaining his blood oxygen level since the lung cancer was unfortunately rapidly progressing and not responding to treatment. I hadn't even opened the box from Mushroom Science and it is an over-the-counter supplement and not prescription, so I thought they may take returns (since it was $299.95 it was worth a shot). I contacted them over email and explained the situation.
Here's the reason for 2 stars, Shannon's only response was, "I'm sorry... We cannot take back any products," and sent me a link to their return policy which just states, "Mushroom Science has a NO REFUND policy". I completely understand if Mushroom Science has a no-return policy, that is their prerogative. But, I was taken aback by the curt response that did not acknowledge at all the reason I was asking about a potential refund. It showed no compassion at all for someone who has been a continuous customer for almost a decade and facing a profound loss.
I've done a lot of prescription and repeat order cancellations and everyone else expressed sadness and condolences at hearing my dog passed away/was likely to pass away soon (my dog passed on June 25, 2022). And I would think that a company like Mushroom Sciences deals with a lot of cancer patients. But they have shown me they have no heart since they could not even express empathy for my loss. And I like to patronize businesses that actually do care about their customers. read more
