Very happy with the Best Western. It is next to the train station (do not go out the main entrance…read morebut go under the tracks to the opposite side), making it a 5 minute walk to the old town. While not a plush 5-star hotel, nor trying to be, they do all the little things well. Front desk is friendly and efficient (quick check in). I asked for a late check out, they let us check out at 1:30 without an extra cost. Clean and bright rooms. Internet worked well. Air conditioning was great (though no air conditioning in the lobby). Overall, very efficient stay.

Like most places in Switzerland it does not have air conditioning, so if you are American and used to AC, be advised. The hostel also features a rooftop terrace where we ate dinner both nights, as well as a kitchen and lounge area with drinks for sale. The location is also a bonus. This hostel is built into an old building that was part of a former industrial complex of warehouses, factories, train depots, etc. Just outside the hostel is a brewpub, a cafe, and a truly spectacular Skills Park, which, if you are traveling with kids, they will love. The hostel is also right down the street from the main train station of Winterthur. Overall this is a great spot to stay!

I could only stay in Depot 195 for one night but I can assure you this place is great. Very comfy…read morerooms and great showers/bathrooms. The man (sadly can't remember his name) who helped me at reception was very very welcoming. He had great English and was incredibly nice. He showed us some cool spots to check out and good restaurants. Cleanliness is a strong suit here. Very happy with the stay!
