So I want to start by saying that Kate was an amazing and fun guide. I enjoyed listening to her and she really did try hard to make the experience worth it. Additionally, the other woman working behind the desk was nice, knowledgeable and made us feel welcome while waiting for our tour. Guide aside, the tour itself is done in the dark, with the tour guide holding a flashlight that they zoom in and out for effect (ouch my eyes) just like in a B rated movie for cinematic effect. The 'museum' is in a maze like room with maybe one out of every 5-10 objects actually having any energy and that is probably being generous. The items we were able to see and hear about were interesting and neat to see, but we could have read about them in a lit room just as easily and enjoyed the experience a bit more. If we would have driven to Gettysburg just for the museum I would have been severely disappointed, however just at the end of the day as a final stop before leaving it wasn't a total flop. read more

I really wanted to like this. You do the "tour" in the dark. There are a lot of objects, some definitely have an energy, some not so much. I would much rather go through with the lights on and be able to read stories instead of going through with a guide and only hearing about a couple. We originally completed the VIP tour and enjoyed it so much we decided to go back for the paranormal investigation. I'm still speechless over it. There is so much interesting history about the objects and their origins, and we experienced an extraordinary amount of paranormal activity including photographic evidence. Dom is an amazing guide. He is so knowledgeable, personable, and respectful to both entities and guests. Cool little gem. It's not like a regular museum where you go in and look around at your leisure. Instead, you have a guide who explains each of the items in detail and some background about how they acquired each item. Our guide was Ginger, and she was just fantastic. I loved her knowledge and enthusiasm for the paranormal collection. I didn't realize that you really aren't supposed to take photos (it's not like a ghost tour, where you are encouraged to do so). So I will avoid sharing said photos, so as not to ruin the surprise for future visitors. I especially enjoyed the "dark room" and some of the objects in there, and their backstories. Especially "Arty" and the doll in the cupboard. I have recently been learning more about ouija boards too, so I'll be curious to hear if the board that moves the planchette ends up spelling out any sensible messages, as it moves on its own. Is the price a little steep? Yeah, definitely. 11 bucks a pop for a 45 minute visit. And while there was a list of places that offered a discount on the reverse side of my ghost tour ticket stub, the museum clerk refused to honor it, even though this venue was listed on there as one of the venues that offers a discount with the purchase of a ghost tour. We stopped in at the Museum of Haunted objects in Gettysburg and came away feeling like the $11 cost of entry wasn't really worth it. Upon entering the front door of the legitimately historic building (the birthplace of Jennie Wade, the only civilian killed in the Civil War) you're faced with a long narrow hallway. A room off to the right held a couple of counters, some decorations, and a few people, including a very tiny baby, lying on his stomach on one of the counters. We asked for a tour and were directed to the room at the end of the narrow hallway. That room held various herbs, tinctures, and other "witchy" items for sale and a man behind the counter. We paid for our tour that was scheduled to start in about 15 minutes. As we waited, he engaged in conversation with our friend, including his status as an anti-vaxxer. She quickly changed the subject and we all stepped backward. Several other people showed up for the tour- there were maybe 10 of us all together, cramming into the small rooms of this building. Each room had a theme and maybe a handful of objects in them. Our tour guide (and the new guide she was training) told stories about a few of the objects in each room, and asked for volunteers to touch things, after suggesting what they might feel. I was not expecting true supernatural experiences but this was super hokey. There wasn't very much to see. I left feeling concerned for my health and kind of ripped off. read more

Not great, unfortunately. The group was massive, the room was basically a shed with (empty)shelves and about 25 items with most of them having no actual origin or history. They walk you through in pitch black other than some floor lights(for effect?) so you can't see anything, and our tour guide was a treasure trove of misinformation historically. I really wanted to enjoy this. some of the objects are cool, but you pick 10, and we saw 9 of them. I thought we would see all of the items like a normal museum, and they were going to explain the 10 we choose... the room is dark, and they use a flash light to light up the items on the list you choose and tell you about them. Dom was sweet, and we enjoyed talking with him, but it was a bit rushed, and the value for the tour is simply not there we were told the VIP was well worth the upgrade and higher price. The store itself is a quaint little place, lots of little trinkets, investigation equipment, and herbs that (I think) are made by the co-owner. The guy who was working, I think his name was Dom- was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend going there! We ducked in out of the rain & realized we only had a 5 minute wait for the tour. To start, It was only $11 per person. The house is cool old historic, which I love. Cassie was very knowledgeable and specific about as many items as possible. I'm just going to say a part of me that has been long dormant is well woken up. I definitely had some very specific impressions on an item I was drawn to. If you are sensitive you will pick up on things. I bought sage as a precaution leaving & I have used it. I feel that if you are a skeptic just hush & learn. It's all pretty cool. Cassie did a great job. She was also able to acknowledge when I felt uncomfortable and was sensitive to that. Very disappointed. Waste of time and money. Guide was funny and a great storyteller however for the hour tour, you will be lucky to "see" 4 objects. The room is small, cramped, items on metal shelving that would be in a garage, and not lit. The room is very dark. The only light is from a small flashlight the guide uses to briefly shine on an object. He tells us about having a large collection of over 100 items, we saw 4. You "see" items on the shelves but it is so dark in the room you are not able to read the tiny signs and if you can, there is no info other than maybe the name of the doll or object. Had we known that we would barely see these few items, I wouldn't have wasted my time or money. Guide was funny and very talkative but that lead to him telling stories about paranormal things that happened to him and on other tours, kinda like "nothing is happening now but it is haunted, I swear." And he admits to being able to BS his way out of any situation, well there went your credibility. He wasted time asking us questions one by one- what would you be if you came back for a second life, what paranormal experiences have you each had, and etc.- we could have used that time to see more items. Overall I should have read the reviews first, I had a bad impression when we first arrived that it felt scammy. I should have trusted that intuition. Had an awesome time at the Museum of Haunted Objects this past weekend! My girlfriend and I grabbed tickets for the midnight at the museum tour with Cass, and she did not disappoint. Within the first 5 minutes minutes of the tour, this small rocking chair that was on display began to rock back and forward rapidly. I interrupted cass by tapping her in the arm to point it out to her, to which she assured me that she didn't touch it. I didn't believe her at first, but the chair continued to rock rapidly for about a minute, then it stopped dead in its tracks. Also one of the dolls arms kept changing positions throughout the tour, and towards the end my girlfriend was hearing whispers telling her to touch something that we specifically were told not to touch because whoever touches it dies. Cass did an amazing job, she kept things fun and entertaining, her story's were incredible, and all in all it's an experience that we will never forget. If you are in town and not stopping by, you are missing out BIGTIME. Definitely will be back next year! Thanks again!!! read more

I did a tour tonight with my husband and daughter. We reserved our tour ahead of time and were the only ones on the tour. It was about an hour long and consisted of three rooms upstairs with a variety of haunted items, some of which we got to interact with. Our tour guide was Cassie and she was SO knowledgeable and kind. I was shocked when she shared she has only been a tour guide here for a few months! She was great and sensitive with our daughter (8 years old) and we had a great time. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Gettysburg!! read more

We went expecting some straight up legit goosebumps after reading some of the reviews. We walked in and were met by 2 women. They guided us to the back where we paid for the tour. We were led upstairs into a room with a trunk, a picture, a tray and a desk. We were told a 45 minute story about the trunk which eventually led to the opening. Very anticlimactic. Then another story about 2 pieces of wood and that's when it became interactive. We were told to touch the wood and don't be surprised if we passed out or threw up. Nothing. Next room had 3 dolls and and a quija board. She touched briefly on the dolls. Nothing at all about the quija board. Thankfully.. we were coming to the end of the tour.. one more room. The last room had a baby doll in a carriage. By the end of the tour we were ready to spend another 11.00 just to get out. This tour was not only boring.. it was so phony with made up stories how the ghost unties the guides shoes and laughs at her and spins around in the case.. it was absolutely absurd. We made a reservation for 11:00 the evening before. The tour guide didn't show on time so we were told we had to wait until 12:00. Sage was our tour guide. As the tour began she told the group that she wasn't wearing a mask and that they didn't have to wear theirs either. Several people took it off completely. (I did not). She then proceeded to tell an older lady with a Trump mask how much she likes the one she is wearing. First of all, nobody asked for the tour guide's political opinion. Second of all, the tour guide should find a new job or stay at home if she can't follow state guidelines....certainly not a job working around others inside. First when I called to make the reservation for the haunted objects tour I spoke with a very nice lady Johlene "spooky" Riley. I arrived not knowing what to expect at the museum. It is a historic birthplace house so learning the history was neat. I met a man named John who was knowledgeable and nice When I first came in waiting for the tour to begin. We were told by Brian about the history of the objects and we got to experiment with some. Really interesting. I did experience some paranormal things with the typewriter, the death chair and the amputation board. Would recommend. Price reasonable for seeing and experiencing things. read more

SCAM!!!!!! The address listed on their website is NOT the real address. I arrived EARLY for my tour only to find that there was no museum. I called the number on the website because I thought that my GPS had brought me to the wrong location. I began walking up and down the street trying to find the museum. I called the owner and she gave me walking directions from where I was standing. I tried to enter the museum but the door was locked and all lights were off. I called the same number back and was told that the door was unlocked and I could go inside. I tried the door again, pushing and pulling the knob and knocking on the door...nothing. I tried the door marked office nothing. I called the owner back insisting that the door was locked. She said that she would call the museum guide to come unlock the door. It was still a few minutes before 3pm which was the time I reserved when I pre-paid. My party of 3 waited outside the museum for the guide to come. No one ever showed up. We got in touch with the owner again only to be told that it was now passed 3 and we could join the tour because it had already started and the museum door was now locked. I asked for a refund but the owner refused. Instead of apologizing she tried to blame us for HER MISTAKE. After we left, I received a phone call from her promising to issue a full refund. I put the phone on speaker and the entire group heard the owner promise a refund. I agreed to the refund but then the owner started gaslighting us and being extreme hostile and rude. I stated "All we need is a refund there is nothing to argue about". We began our 6 hour drive home when we received a text message stating that now we were not going to get our refund because we were "rude". We responded by texting that "regardless a refund was already offered and we accepted it so there is no going back." We still have not received a refund. read more

I have to say every time I have to come to the museum I I am absolutely astonished by the care of the building. Our tour guide John is attentive and fun each and every single time. Tonight we noticed that the tour was a bit more paranormally active than normal maybe due to the rain. During our two trips the the museum today we were shocked to hear a crying entity also known as Rosie and then a "mama." Unfortunately since we weren't on the paranormal lockdown I was unable to catch the audio. Our tour guide John and the other guests can vouch for this experience and were all shocked to hear such a audible cry without any type of tool to communicate with the other side. While in her room we received a "mama" but from the other rooms such as the "dark room" and the other room the doll was clearly troubled and continued to cry until we returned to the room.
