(Be prepared to find yourself extremely moved, in the end. We both wept. We've all heard the names, but the area is lost to those of us who learned our history in places like the USA.
Lots to read, but well worth it. Must read German (or Polish). Texts mesh well with artifacts, and all is well-organized. Probably one of the best museums of history/culture/geography that I can remember visiting anywhere.
Beautiful setting in three early modern houses at the center of Gorlitz, in the Untermarkt. Really takes three or four hours to go through carefully. Accepts the ICOM card.
