You can spend a good amount of time here with your little ones, our kids are still toddlers and enjoyed it. Older kids could actually learn from the scientific principles they have on display. It's an interactive children's museum. They are very organized from the entrance to the exhibits. Kids can play with everything. There is a petting zoo that is lovely to walk as well as go carts and a look at a plane from the inside. This museum is great for young kids. My grandchildren loved the train ride. read more

Fun children's museum. I've been here twice, once before covid and once during covid. Definitely, the pre-covid visit was better. Everything was open and the place was livelier. Still, our son had a good time both times. On our second visit we took a boat ride around the Laguna de Torrecilla. We saw some caimans. We also went to the petting zoo. Parking is offsite. There is a shuttle that will take you to and from the parking to the museum. If you live here, it might be worth checking out memberships. They get you exclusive invites to special events and discounts. read more

This was the BEST children's museum. There was so much to do inside and outside. The jungle cruise was my favorite because we learned so much about the mangroves. It was a full day of entertainment with interesting displays. We even had a fast lunch with a hot dog (dressed PR style) and a Pepsi for 3.50 per person. Wow this children's museum is one of the best I have been to! They have sooo many things to do: petting/mini zoo. Where you can see beautiful exotic birds, goats, donkeys, horses, turtles, iguanas and deer all in one place! Just to name a few animals and there is a huge outdoor playground. They have this great jungle boat ride which is about 25 minutes. Then when you are ready to cool down you can go indoors to their air conditioned indoor play area, with so many activities to do for many different ages. Dress up and play stations, build your own race car. I could go on and on. If you have children I would definitely put this on your list of to dos while in San Juan. read more

Today, we took the kids to the kids museum in Carolina. As we approached the building, we could see a full sized airplane that you can explore inside and out. That was soooo cool! Then we went inside. The tickets were cheap...$6.00 for kids and $10.00 for adults. The kids had tons of fun in the two-story museum. We spent almost two hours checking out all the exhibits. My kids' favorite exhibits were the volcano climbing wall/slide and the occupation stations. My daughter got to be a dentist and she liked that. My son got to be a cop and he liked that. The optical illusions played mind tricks with my son, which was hilarious! They played with almost every single exhibit and they spent a lot of time on the boat. There is a small cafe to buy food and drinks. This is a great place to take your kids! We will return! Recommend! read more

Me and my two kids really enjoyed this museum. It was so much to do and learn, all at a reasonable price. They have a boat ride, go karts, mini zoo , pedal boat and a lot of other fun in door activities that's interesting for the kids as well as educational. I recommend that if your visiting the area you should stop by. Also, very clean. They sanitized after every kids touches any indoor activity, hand sanitizer stationed everywhere which is good as well. read more

I'm sure this place is more fun outside of COVID. It was pretty desolate when we arrived. More workers than visitors. You are required to go in a specific direction, someone is watching you at all times to wipe down what your kids touch, and they have pre-cleaned items for the kids to play but it's not as fun to fill the dump truck with your two blocks instead of a whole bunch of blocks and rocks. Also not as fun to go "shopping" when you are given your one basket pre-filled. The mini zoo was nice, good price as it really isn't much, but the kids had a few spots they enjoyed. Playground is closed, also some exhibits are closed. However, my kids still had fun for the 3 hours it was open. I would recommend it, regardless of COVID, since it probably isn't their fault the kids can't play and they charged us less. Also note that you have to walk to the museum (parking is off site) so bring a stroller if you have young ones! They also allow you to buy tickets to individual items, and don't require a museum entrance fee in order to go to the zoo or do the go-karts/boat ride. My kids loved the boat and "fishing" off the dock as well as the race car. Last bit of advice: look through any items you buy from their store. My son loves dinosaurs so I let him buy a coloring book. The majority of the pictures are fantasy pictures and he's upset because he doesn't know their names (because they are dragons, vampire dinos, etc). read more

It's got a real size passenger jet that u can board, so much exhibit and even features a go kart track ($5 per kart). We live in San Francisco and have access to several Children's Museums, but my almost 4 year old loved this one. He was still talking about it weeks after we got back home. Not only is it a quality children's museum, but it's also affordable, not crowded and has also go carts, boats and beautiful picnic areas. We had a wonderful time at this museum. We bought all of the available activities and enjoyed the go karts, boat tour, mini zoo etc. The outside activities alone were excellent, however the inside was the real gem. Much more hands on for younger kids than say your typical science center - the activities each had a very fun and active hands on component that kept my son interested and engaged. I expected to spend 2 hours here max, and we ended up spending close to 5 hours. Admission was super cheap, everyone was friendly and the food was pretty good too for museum food. If you are in Puerto Rico and have young kids this is a must do. read more

Second time here. Amazing. So much to do that we basically running out of time. Amazing racing cars and playground. So many interesting things inside. Very educational for kids. Check out the bed of nails and the Vulcan. Definitely will be back to try the jungle. read more

We are traveling to visit family in PR and we took our 9 month old daughter to the museum. Although she viewed it from a stroller because she doesn't walk yet she absolutely loved it. We are a bit off in her routine while traveling so it was nice to see her light up at all the sounds and colors of the museum. There were a bunch of photo opportunities and the entrance and parking fees were reasonable. A few of the exhibits were broken and the plane was a bit disappointing. I was expecting the plane to have some exposed structure to explain some of the science behind aircraft. However, if kids have never been on an airplane they will probably enjoy it. read more

I took my daughter mid-week to the museum, and although she had a blast, I was a little disappointed. Perhaps we just went at a bad time, but more than a quarter of the exhibits were out of order or broken in some way. The most memorable being an exhibit with three touch screens, two were out of order and the one functioning screen had an error message saying "this copy of windows is not genuine." The prices were reasonable, $3 to park, $6 for kids and $10 for adults. The staff all seemed bored (it wasn't very busy), with one staff member talking on her cell phone when we walked to the exhibit she was stationed beside. Really cute museum for little kids! Went here on a rainy day while on vacation with my 13 month old. Didn't really get a chance to go see the zoo before it rained but from what I could see it was mostly birds. There's a small go cart track outside and an American airlines plane they can climb onto which unfortunately I also didn't get a chance to go onto since we had just gotten off our plane! The parking is actually a walk over the bridge in the gated area which I couldn't find initially or I didn't see signs for. Café food was typical for a museum with just chicken fingers nachos nothing to write home about but if you're starving it works! Don't give up a beach day for it but definitely worth it if you need a break from the sun or on a rainy day! read more

Found this place on yelp when searching for "Things to Do with Kids." There is a parking lot that charged $3 and provided a shuttle to the main site. Since the museum was only two blocks away, we walked. For all the attractions - museum, go-kart, mini-zoo, paddle boat, and jungle trip, we paid $57 for two adults and one child! The museum is your typical kid's museum with two floors of science-centered and hands-on exhibits. What makes Museo del Niño special is the go-kart track, which you can drive pretty fast for like 10 minutes and either pass or get passed by other cars, the playground outside with peacocks, chickens, and iguanas walking around, the petting zoo where you can ride ponies and feed baby goats, the real jumbojet outside, and the jungle trip. I thought the jungle trip was just a bus ride around the park, but actually, it was a wind in your face high speed boat ride around the huge estuary that bordered the museum allowing you to see the mountains nearby too. We realized we would have come to the museum for the boat ride alone! My 6 year old son could not stop smiling and was even glad to pose for photos. We came at 1 pm and the museum closed at 6 pm and we did not get a chance to go on the paddle boats but definitely had our fill of fun for the day. And also, if you get a chance, consider sleeping on the extendable bed of nails on the second floor! read more
