I've had mixed experiences at this comic book shop. On my first visit, everything was great. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the store was well organized, and I felt welcomed as both a collector and a casual reader. They took time to take my trades for in store credit and prices were extremely reasonable. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was the opposite. The customer service felt dismissive, and the overall atmosphere was uninviting. I asked about future trades and was quickly brushed off without even a second thought. Store has shifted to games and cards. Comic back issues are lacking and the wall books are overpriced. Buyer beware. read more

This little (big) shop was so much fun!! After a long day of shopping my family decided we weren't finished yet. To my surprise we pulled up to this location to check it out. I can't remember what exactly we were looking for as my brain turned into mush the moment I saw cute little stuffed animals that littered the place - yes, I'm an adult child. I loved that as soon as you walk in theres a section for kids to play and be entertained. Yet this is the reason I can't give it 5 stars. Whoever thought it was a good idea to design it to put the opening in front of the entrance and the high wall of books parallel to the wall as you walk in? That seems like a child abduction waiting to happen. A better solution (since people love to complain without giving an alternative) would be to reverse the L shape or have it so the people at the counter can see as well as a parent in the store. Though it's not a baby sitting area, it would give parents a chance to quickly grab a book, deck of cards or stuffed animal... or even pay! This store has a lot to offer, plenty of bathrooms. An area in the back with tables set up that I can only guess gatherings happen for misc events. Card games and the like. A fun excuse to get nerdy! :) read more

My go to comic stop in town. Friendly service and with a lot of comics and games. It's a big place I think they have a lot of game tournaments like magic and stuff but honestly I just go for the comics. read more

I really like this store, so wide open, big windows that let the sun in and you can see everything so clearly. Their back issue selection is pretty good, that's usually what I shop for when it comes to comics, so can't complain there. Wish they had a few more toys and novelties, but as it is they have quite a few and most importantly the staff is always super courteous, friendly and welcoming. They always have what I need which is mostly back issues, toys and card supplies. A+ store. read more

This place is a gem for both comics and Magic the Gathering. Elisabeth was hands down the most helpful and down to earth person we've met at a card/comic shop! She happily answered our many questions with a smile on her face and gave us great advice! The shop itself is great sized, organized and comfortable. Reasonable prices as well!! So, you know that comic shop shown in the Simpsons? This place is nothing like that... its open, clean, and well-lit. They have the new comics (and they do pull lists). They have an extensive stock of trade paperback collections. They have comic-related merchandise - buttons, statues, toys, etc. They have CCG. They have artwork hanging on the walls. Half the store is dedicated to open gaming space; they sponsor gaming tournaments, and other in-store events. The staff is helpful and friendly, and their special orders actually arrive shortly after being placed. Unlike other stores in the area, I've never had to go elsewhere to find something that should be on the shelves. I used to own my own comics/games store in the SF bay area, so I'm a bitchy, picky customer. Muse has earned by respect, and my business. read more

I completely agree with the other (3) yelpers' reviews. Muse is very clean and organized. The gentleman that runs this shop, I believe his name is George, really has it together. I recently moved to Co from Ca and have been searching for a place that carries Dark Horse "Star Wars" and "The Star Wars" issues. Before I found Muse I tried a place on Powers Blvd. and the shopkeeper there said they don't carry Star Wars comics... like ANY Star Wars comics.... Wtf!? Needless to say I won't go there (whatever the name is) again. Enter MUSE! They have the droids I'm looking for! Not just recent issues but every issue. I now have an account with Muse so that each new issue is put in my box. I couldn't be happier with my experience here. Muse is really great but not for everyone. If you come in for comics or an event they're fantastic. If you're looking for singles of mtg cards or older sealed products not so much. They have an awesome selection of comics. And I've heard them help people find what they need, discuss plots and etc, and even recommend new ones. They're very knowledgable. For mtg events they're my favorite place to go. They're awesome, friendly and the community here is very welcoming.they make sure new players have fun and make sure more experience players are also appreciated. While I go here for events/prereleases, I don't buy my magic cards here. Their selection of singles is mostly high demand cards or older rares/mythics. And they don't carry older sealed products like I like to buy. However I have to say it is run by the nicest, sweetest, friendliest people that even make someone shy like me feel chatty and even a little extroverted. For a newcomer to comics or cards I recommend them 100% read more

I was into comic books as a kid, and wanted to share that experience with my daughter. We discovered Muse on "free comic book day" and she found several comic books she continues to enjoy. For me, it was a bit of a nostalgia trip, as well. We'll be back. read more

By far the cleanest and most organized store in the area. The staff were friendly even though I was new to the area. I accidentally spilled some water and the staff were quick to clean it up and made sure they understood it was an accident. I appreciated the stores lighting and atmosphere. read more

Brightly lit, spacious store with emphasis on comic books, as well as a back area designated for gaming. Owner is friendly and welcoming, and the Magic the Gathering players here are friendly. Prices are good, not great, and product is limited if you're looking for MTG. Plenty of other nerdy goodness though including comic books, board games, etc. Worth your time to check out! read more

I have been looking for a place to play Modern since I came back to MTG. I had my old modern deck listed on FB trying to get money, so I could buy something more meta relevant and get back to playing Magic. Before I took a break from MTG I played at Enchanted Realms Games & Gifts because it was the closest store to my house and I liked the environment and store owner. Since they moved down south it was now a 30 minute drive to Realms so I was looking for a new place to play. The guy who wanted to buy my old deck asked if I would meet at Muse to make the sale. I was stoked to check out a new store to possibly play at since Realms is now so far from my house. When I got to Muse the buyer was there purchasing things from the store, so I went to the back where the tables were and waited. I sat at one of the only two tables being used so we were not getting in the way or taking up needed space. The buyer starts looking at the deck and the employee walks over and tells us she will lifetime ban us from the store if we are selling cards or decks. It was a terrible way to be introduced to a new game store while looking for a LGS to start playing again since they would have made money on singles, packs, event entry, and the plethora of sleeves I buy since I re sleeve my most played decks every month or so. The store gained nothing with this rule and instead lost on a potential regular and any one else I play with casually that agrees. Would one be banned for playing at other game stores too? Or maybe buying cards from TCG player when the LGS doesn't have a card in stock? That is how dumb this rule sounds. I guess I will look into playing at Iron Lion or drive further south to Realms. read more

Awesome Staff who are very helpful. People seem to complain that there is not much of a selection but when the staff says they will order whatever you want weekly if needed you can't ask for much more. The people are laid back and knowledgeable. This is the perfect place for me and my boys for as long as we live here in the Springs. read more
