Had a very poor experience with the guide who provided misinformation on the Dachau tour. Then I was told to email the company immediately, which I attempted several times over the next seven hours and I couldn't even get a single reply. Contacting them by phone also proved impossible. Scam artist vibe - I think when they have your money, they disappear. Very unprofessional service from both guide and company. read more
My friend and I booked the "Bavarian Food And Market Tour" for the weekend we were visiting Munich for Oktoberfest. It was very easy to find the tour guide in the right spot in Marienplatz and we did start right on time with a large group of 15 people. The tour ran close to four hours. Several cultural spots along the way and a nice walk through and around the Viktualienmarkt. Several of the food items we got a chance to try were delicious and enjoyable. I particularly liked the fresh schmaltznudeln (a sweet bread filled with stewed plum - sort of like a jelly donut but not quite). The tour was A-OK and could use some improvement. The hour we spent at the pub with sausages was entirely too long. The fruit vendor was interesting but they're exotic imported fruits, not local to Bavaria. The tastes we got at the herb vendor were good, my favorite was the wild garlic. I've been on food tours in Copenhagen, Porto, Istanbul, Palma and Milan. My favorite was the Helsinki, which was all about the local stuff. This was an interesting tour, but I'm not sure that it met my expectations. [Review 12018 overall, 1801 of 2019.] read more
Carlota did a wonderful job leading us through a very emotional tour of Dachau. Our group of over 20 people was difficult to keep together. Nevertheless she did a wonderful job of sharing information and making our group's experience amazing. A simple example: when an outsider to a group that tempted to piggyback on the tour, she made a gentle suggestion that they probably should not continue. She did not punish the individual, rather she made this person aware of our group's intention to learn together what she had to offer us. I asked her specifically how she handles Holocaust deniers. She clarified that, while they probably would not take her tour, she would offer the same information as if they weren't even present. Truly, a Truth to Power situation. All in all, I highly recommend her tour to all that wish to see Holocaust occur "Never Again". Brilliant! read more

Josh the Amazing Tour Guide Review of Third Reich Walking Tour Munich I got "forced" on this tour while I was on vacation, thinking what a downer to be on vacation and decide to spend time mourning this period in history when we could be doing something more fun. I also brought my teenager who needed to learn about this era. My tour guides name was Josh, he was German and lived and grew up in Munich. He began the tour with an honest assessment of his nation in that time period, and drew me in with a massive amount of pictures from the time period and stories. He made the history fully relatable and alive to me. He ended the official tour, and instead of leaving (my knee was hurting) | hung on his every word and limped along waiting for more to the very end of the tour. I'll admit to shedding a few tears behind my sun glasses and seeing my teenager affected as well. My son said this tour was the best thing we did on vacation. Josh was one of those people who was born to teach and is excellent at his craft, rivaling some of my college professors. He brought us in this 3 hr tour through the full range of emotions required by such a historic event. I've not had a better tour guide in all of Europe. read more
BEWARE!! I am very mixed about this review since honestly our guide was a really nice guy, but want to leave something that I feel is accurate. I paid extra money for the Extended Tour which is advertised as being 6 hours with a 1 hour lunch break at a restaurant that was one of Hitler's regular lunch spots. Their own website clearly states this. We didn't have any lunch break and we only saw Hitler's hot spots as a quick stop and not for lunch. Our stops were 2 bathroom breaks and a long break at the Scholl exhibit at the university which felt like just another break and something I could do on my own time. The tour should have ended at around 4:15-5:15 but it ended way earlier. Most of the people just left for the shorter tour which we should have done as we didn't get what we paid for by doing the extended version. Didn't see that many sites (after the 1st group left anyway) and with the breaks, it just felt like a waste of money. In fact when the first group left the guide said we could get a partial refund if we leave the tour with them which isn't a good sign lol. We choose to go on which was a mistake. The website also states that you need to print out your voucher to sign in but you really have to read the terms and conditions for it. When you go to pay online, it doesn't tell you that. You can also pay in person which is what I should have done as there is a fee to reserve a spot (with the exception of the concentration camp tour, I don't think these tours ever sell out to be honest). I was told via email that i could do a screen shot on my phone. Would have been nice to have seen that on their website as I ended up paying someone at a print shop to do it for me. I asked Ralph if I could have a partial refund since I got a partial tour. Was told no refunds. I thought a partial refund would have been the right thing to do since clearly I didn't get what I paid for as the website says 1 thing and you will end up getting another. If you could charge me money, you can offer me money back. You have been warned. read more

Well, what do you say about a tour that you pay a non refundable 24EU, and the tour guide decides your group isn't big enough (at least 14 people) so doesn't show up? Since the tour of Dachau is free, I would think $336 is a pretty good chunk of change to walk around and talk for 2 hours. We stood outside waiting for 45 minutes with no explanation. One of the people we chatted with got directions from the information booth, and we went ourselves (at no cost outside of a group bus pass). What kind of business runs this way? One of the ladies at the Munich information booth said this isn't the only time this happened in the past few weeks. read more
