Arrived on time filled out my paperwork waited 45 minutes more before I asked when I'm going to be seen? The receptionist looked at a screen and said, I'm next. Waited 15 more minutes was put in a room where I waited another 45 minutes. Finally, a guy came in and said the doctor will see me now, I thought the doctor was going to come into my room, but instead, I had to go into the room next to where I was. The doctor was sitting. In that room there was a examination table that had been clearly used because the paper was crinkled up on it, but not changed , and a chair for me to sit about 6 feet from anyone. The man who retrieved me came and sat down at a computer. I told the doctor I was upset and then I had been there for two hours waiting for him. He said, why did she wait so long? The people in the room had no reply. I never got an apology from anyone. Never got an answer as to why I was waiting so long. I basically spoke to the doctor for 10 minutes. He was dictating to that man the whole time not really even looking at me. He said go schedule your surgeries. I was still upset went out to the receptionist to schedule and she informed me that she was not the scheduler and to go sit back in the waiting room and they will call me when the scheduler is ready. After another 10 minutes of waiting in the waiting room, I got up and left. All that time for a consultation. I am a patient person if someone had just explained to me that they were busy or behind. I would've gladly waited, but no one even acknowledged I was there or gave me any type of apology for the long wait. The front office staff was terrible and the doctor was not sympathetic at all. I would never recommend that place for the way I was treated. I give that place a zero star. read more

I was referred to Dr. Sheikh after my primary doctor suspected I had a fatty liver. Dr. Sheikh and his team quickly scheduled me for a consultation and had me undergo a fibroscan the same visit. I was very pleased that they have the machines and techs on site to make it extremely accommodating. Next door to his office is the Fresno Clinical Research Center which he oversees. I felt very confident after speaking with Dr. Sheikh that I was going to be provided quality care. Dr. Sheikh took the time to review my medical record with me, explain the stages of fatty liver disease and also offer an opportunity to undergo a clinical study which would help with the fatty liver. The process to get into the study is very well organized, the staff is very knowledgeable and having a great team gave me the assurance I needed. If you have been diagnosed with fatty liver or suspect that you do have fatty liver, I would recommend a visit to Dr. Sheikh to undergo the diagnostic testing and understand the best treatment plan. read more

I waited several months to write this up. The accountability of this doctor needs serious consideration. Here's was our situation my husband had serious liver disease and was recommended ultrasounds every three months as cancer tends to occur and in his family history. Lack of attention in reading or assuming these ultrasounds techs know how to do their jobs. He is accountable for proper review. Had two ultrasounds in 6 months October 2022, and January 6, 2023, and no issues relayed to us then on 2-18-2023, he was taken to emergency to be told had a mass on liver and several others places. This could not have occurred in 12 days a 6"x4" the largest tumor. This doctor could not explain how this was not seen in October or January. He said I'm not sure I need to get that machine checked! Beware was the machine calibrated as he said this to us again on two different appts. His bedside manner was lacking immensely. I would never recommend anyone because the lack of this screw up and his carefree attitude. I could have had more time with my husband who passed 4 months later. read more

My wife has (NASH) Liver disease and he caught it early and does very close monitoring and treatment. We drive 70 miles each way to go to this Doctor and its worth it. He currently has numerous clinical trials regarding (NASH) going. My wife is unable to participate in a trial due to a more severe condition. He has also been instrumental in getting newer more effective medications approved. He is a excellent Doctor that takes the time to answer questions and explains what and why he doing something. This doctor misdiagnosed my husband after doing a colonoscopy and endoscopy said he had gastritis. He put him on PPI's and after 6 weeks he was still in extreme pain. At my husband's follow up visit my husband expressed to the doctor his concerns and that he was still in pain. Dr. Sheikh told him do the fodmap and keep taking PPI. After moving from Fresno my husband found another gastroenterologist in Pleaston. This doctor finally diagnosed my husband with stage 4 pancreatic cancer unfortunately it was too late. He lost time because of Dr. Sheikh misdiagnosis. Seek a second opinion. My husband passed away this March. He saw Dr. Sheikh in July of last year. read more

Dr Sheikh has saved me from surgery!!! I had a 37% function of full bladder and enlarged liver with hepatic failure found by him and he realized it was medication induced to to my Tiznidine and other meds. He educated me in all of this and that all my meds from my other medical issues are slowing down my organs . So we stopped my meds and have already improved .
