From the ER to being in my private room, a beautiful large room with an incredible picture window. I wanted to adopt all of my nurses and staff Be kind when you are in the hospital pay attention to what they are doing. They are run, ragged shorthanded, and never seem to stop running to take care of us. They do it with a smile on their face they find time for you even though they don't have any time. By the way, the food was incredible. I had the option to order different if I wanted to, but the everyday regular meal was so good. I never bothered to try the side menu. Be aware if there's any chance of you falling because of a medical issue, they are gonna watch you extra. Lol I thought they were kidding about not getting out of bed until I put my foot on the floor. My bathroom was about 3 feet away and yes, I had to fix a sock and I was going to try to get to the bathroom on my own. Next thing you know, I had red lights flashing, and a fire alarm sound a very loud one. They aren't kidding. They have to arm and disarm your bed before you can get out of it. It's for our safety of taken several bad falls before they weren't gonna let me do it on their watch. I felt like I was in a hotel. It was so nice even the wall color was pretty. I'm not happy with some of the management and some things that were done and the way they were handled. Remember to be your own ADVOCATE. That being said, though, remember your nurses and other stuff, including the people that deliver your food, I had some of the cheeriest and kindest people from that area as well. I had one young lady while I was still in the ER room come in one morning. She had a voice like a beautiful bird so nice to wake up to. Thank you is not enough to say to these great people. If you are near The Woodlands in Texas and especially if you need a Heart hospital, this is the place to go

Great care and followup received for my surgery. Competent doctors and staff. Very pleased!read more

I ended up selecting Dr. Meghan Hunter after researching the credentials of doctors in the area. The entire staff is extremely friendly. They remember details about me and my family when we visit. The nurses are awesome and are very knowledgable. Dr. Hunter is extremely smart and personable. She does not treat folks like they are a 10 minute slot. In fact, she spends as much time as it takes to take care of business -- sessions with her are not rushed. Each time I have visited Dr. Hunter, she clearly articulated my issues, described my treatment plans, then got me on the road to wellness. Yes, sometimes they run behind, but it's a doctor's office. Sometimes there are serious issues that they must tend to and sometimes there are routine issues. I highly, highly recommend this practice!

I have been going to this doctor's office for a few years. Ever since COVID-19 hit, they won't…read moreeven see patients who are exhibiting any COVID-19-like symptoms. It's not just them, and it's getting harder to receive medical treatment. I have spent the past two days trying to have my son with special needs looked at because he clearly has an ear infection and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a double ear infection. His doctor (who recently left this practice) knew that I knew when he had an infection and would call in meds for him without being seen. Now, I can't even get a virtual visit. My son was scheduled for a 4pm virtual visit yesterday. Then I was informed that there was some sort of glitch and that appointment wasn't available. My son was rescheduled for a 2pm virtual visit today. I was instructed to log in via the link sent to me in my email 15 minutes ahead of time. Twenty minutes before 2pm, I got into my e-mail and found no e-mail from them. I began calling. Twice, the same person picked up, said they couldn't hear me, and hung up when I tried to explain that I hadn't received a link. The third time, I was on hold for 20 minutes waiting for a representative and they then contacted the clinic who said they would send me a link (by now, it was 2:15). I got the link right away, but it was scheduled for 7:15pm. ??? I went ahead and accepted it. Then, I tried to get in just to make sure it would work. It did. No one was there. Another e-mail came through changing the time to 2:15pm, so I got back into the Zoom and waited. Nobody came. I kept the Zoom on for 5 1/2 hours while I picked up my other son from school, made dinner, did dishes, changed adult diapers, etc. It's still on while I write this at nearly 8:00pm. Nobody ever came to the appointment. In the e-mail, I am the only one who ever accepted the appointment; there is no response from the doctor. After taking two days off of work (which I have 10 for the entire year), I still have 0 medicine for my 16 year old son with special needs who is getting agitated and taking it out on me. Who can blame him? He's feeling miserable. Basically, if you want a doctor's office that cares, follows-through, and values your time as much as they value their time, this is not it.

Not sure how 2 of the doctors in this office even passed their boards! 1 left & the other is still there. So beware! The staff isn't too bad, its the doctors I'm afraid of. If you're a type 1 diabetic trying to find a good family practice doctor, this place is not for you. I was denied a script for diabetic supplies which includes insulin. The 1st doctor I saw (the one that is no longer there) was supposedly a family practice doctor that was also familiar with sports medicine. My previous doctor had the same background and was amazing at what she did. I was scheduled w/ this doctor by the medical assistant because I needed to be seen for a diabetic check up (which typically includes refills for all diabetic supplies) & postpartum tendonitis on my hand. She refused to refill some items and denied me my life saving insulin pump supplies... whatever her reasoning is--- it is NOT justifiable. I told her Id see the other doctor that my husband was seeing and her response was, "I guarantee you she will not refill your supplies..." --- Well sh*t! Im in this same dang field and I know how report goes. She apparently spoke to the other doctor so that I could not receive my supplies. She too denied me my script for supplies & medication. I was told I had to see an endocrinologist that was scheduled 4 wks out! Common sense says, this patient lives off this stuff!!!! Duh! These people are the dumbest medical professionals I have ever encountered in my lifetime. I have moved from state to state since I can remember and seeing a brand new doctor to refill my supplies was NEVER am issue until I came here. I was finally fed up and decided to leave the office when my husband came in to see his doctor 2 weeks ago. 3 min before the appointment I had called to let the office know that we had exited the freeway and that we would be there in a few minutes. The medical assistant places me on hold and comes back to tell me the doctor is not allowing us to be a few minutes late because it would cut into the next appt so we would have to reschedule?! WHAT THE FLYING %|€#*}¥!!!!!!!! We drove 20 minutes to get there! I said I will be there 1 min late!!!!!! She says its by the doctors discretion?! What doctors office doesnt give you a 10-15 min leeway?! We were going to either be on time or 1 min late! Forget this... husband and I continued to the office to pick up labs so we could be seen at a different place! Then... suddenly... their schedule was freed up for him to be seen since he was already in the office?!!! WHAT IN THE?!! DONE! You'd be better going to a back alley black market to be seen. LOL. HELLZ NAW! Bye! See ya wouldn't wana be ya! Stay AWAY!

Dr. Powellson was in NO way friendly, welcoming, comforting, or helpful. He was, instead;rude, argumentative, interrupting, judgemental, cold, and dismissive. He was entirely focused on my mental health diagnosis-which was NOT why I was there-and treated my physical health, as well as some important concerns I tried to communicate, as an afterthought. The room was cold, sterile, uncomfortable, and so is Dr. Powellson. I was immediately put off and defensive with his demeanor, and his lack of focus on my physical health rather than my mental- he seemed to form an opinion when I told him my diagnosis- was confusing and frustrating. I jave a lump in my abdomen and another in my pelvis that he NEVER EXAMINED, or asked about them after I mentioned it. I felt judged, as though Dr Powellson has a bias about people with BPD. The building and the lobby made me want to turn around as soon as I got there, and Dr. Powellson made me so uncomfortable; feeling judged and argued with, and frustrated, that I walked out of the appointment within 5 minutes of meeting and talking to him. At NO time did I feel like Dr Powellson cared about my physical concerns, or even HEARD them. This was just supposed to be a general physical and check-up, and Dr. Powellson made it the most uncomfortable, unpleasant, and awful appointments I have ever had.
