I am a very regular customer at the Imperial, Ne Dollar General, I have been for 11 years. When…read morethis pandemic started, I sewed face coverings for one of the employees, Katherine, to pay her back for the wonderful service she always would show me as a customer. However, in the past 2 months, I've notice a steady decline in the store. The store is dirty, nothing is stocked, laying still in the aisles, the aisles are impassable with boxes, rubbish & etc now. I have somewhat overlooked this but I was in shopping yesterday, Sept. 22, 2020 & was appalled at the events. The store was frustrating to not be able to get through the aisles with unstocked goods as well as items from the shelves knocked down on the floor and left where they fell. Another customer in there at the time commented to me about "something should be done about this". I was trying to finish my shopping in the health and beauty aisle, where one of the two employees was in that aisle with a small cart, a clipboard , writing something down, taking up the entire area. She would not move to allow me to pass and get my item I wanted. Then she yelled up to the cashier she was going outside for a cigarette, upon which the cashier yelled back she was also going out with her. They both went out together and were smoking and on their phones leaving behind customers standing up at the register waiting to be checked out. I left my full cart without checking out, went outside and told the girls there were four customers waiting to be checked out. One replied back "so", and then thanked me very briskly. I made a comment about how pathetic the store was now, she remarked back "thank you" in a very condescending manner , I replied " there is no thank you at all", of which she kept replying " thank you" in the same manner. I then told them both I was going to make a report and I wouldn't be returning as a customer. They both were still out in front smoking as I drove away.As I said, I am a very regular customer and was greatly disappointed, I will do my shopping at the McCook,Ne store from here on out.
