She asked my name, which I provided, and I informed her that I received the accountant's contact information from my banker (whose name I also provided). I was placed on hold. When the receptionist returned to the phone, she stated that the accountant was not familiar with my banker's name and thus I could not be transferred to speak with him. Why not ask the purpose of my call? I honestly am not aware of the level of service they provide, but if my initial interaction is any indication of the level of concern they have for their clients, I would steer clear.

The IRS disallowed the full $2,850 credit because of it -- we have the letter. When the e-file was rejected, they switched us to paper filing with no real explanation. We waited over a year for our refund. When we finally hired a second accountant to investigate, they identified the purchaser error almost immediately. Oles blamed the IRS and the system throughout. They took zero accountability, collected their fee, and moved on. We lost $2,850 because of a name on a form. That's not a gray area.

After months, unreturned phone calls, they called me in to sign a paper that they told needed to be signed in front of a notary. I waited and waited for the check to come. Finally, I called the Ohio Dept. of Taxation. After a long while on the phone, with a very helpful lady, I was told they never received the paperwork. At which time, she said I did not need to hire a CPA. She told me the form I needed to fill out (minus the notary) and include the death certificate. Within a couple of weeks I received my check. When I called Oles and left a message I would like to speak with someone about being reimbursed what I paid them to do - no phone call from them. Definitely not trustworthy. Would never use them again.
