Chris was great! He removed a very large ponderosa pine tree in our backyard. He responded quickly to my request for a quote and came in the lowest of 4 bids. He and Mike showed up on time on the day we had scheduled and he even sent me a text with an ETA. They got right to work and successfully got it all done in about 5 hours! I called Mr Squid ( ex-navy.... Go figure!) amid a broken tree post snowstorm town crisis and he made time for me. Other services needed two weeks just to look at my needs - and I was not available in 2 weeks. Chris (Mr Squid) showed up promptly, quoted a reasonable price to trim a large tree and grind a backyard stump. The work was well done - he reshaped a large Honey Locust & carved out the dead, unsightly branches. Mr Squid was pleasant, on time and did good work. I needed my gutters cleaned, and got quotes from a few places. Mr Squid was the cheapest. They got me scheduled within a few days. On the day of the cleaning, they showed up on time. Two dudes with vacuum hoses and backpacks for the debris took about 30 minutes to clean all the gutters. Since they had the vacuum "jetpacks" there was no gunk left around the property, like when I clean the gutters myself. They were really nice, and now my gutters are working great! read more

I hired Chris to trim three pine trees, two bushes and a crap apple tree after we moved into our new home. There had been no maintenance done in our backyard for probably a decade or more and the trees were very overgrown. Our yard was an ice skating rink due to the lack of sun and it needed some TLC. Chris and his coworker (Mike I believe) came and did the quote and also were the two people who came to do the work. His prices were half the other two quotes I received and included a full cleanup of the pine needles in our yard. I'm extremely type A and asked Chris tons of questions on several occasions before I hired him - he answered all of them and was very patient with me. The work they did was amazing! I am so happy with their services. They also cleaned up my entire yard, which I didn't really expect but was such a wonderful bonus.
