I have to say that I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Mr. Lube. In all my years of owning and servicing vehicles, I have rarely encountered such a lack of professionalism and competence. I visited the location to have four tires removed and reinstalled on the same rims--a fairly straightforward service. When I arrived, I was the only customer in the shop, yet the job took approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Throughout the process, there appeared to be five technicians on duty, but much of the time they seemed to be standing around, unsure of what to do next. The overall impression was that there was no clear process or direction, which did not inspire confidence in their abilities. Several technicians worked on my vehicle at various times, but little progress seemed to be made. While staffing and workflow issues are not my concern as a customer, I do expect a simple tire change to be completed efficiently and professionally. To make matters worse, when the work was finally completed, I noticed that one of my custom rims had been scratched. When I brought this to their attention, there was no acknowledgment, apology, or clear response. The staff simply looked at the damage and appeared unsure of how to address the situation. I was then charged $260 for the service, and my wheels were returned covered in tire-mounting chemicals and dirt. No effort was made to clean them before returning the vehicle to me. The following morning, I discovered that the driver's-side tire was completely flat. The tire pressure monitoring system showed readings of 44 PSI, 48 PSI, 34 PSI, and one tire with no pressure at all. I then took the vehicle to the Mr. Lube location at Appleby Line and Highway 407 in Burlington for assessment. The Burlington staff determined that the flat tire had not been properly installed and needed to be remounted. In addition, one of the tire pressure sensors had stopped functioning. Upon inspection, they found that the sensor had been bent and damaged, requiring replacement. Unfortunately, they did not have the part in stock, meaning I now have to visit the dealership to have the sensor replaced. While mistakes can happen, what concerns me most is the lack of accountability, professionalism, and attention to detail displayed throughout this experience. Customers need to feel confident that the technicians working on their vehicles know what they are doing and take pride in their work. Unfortunately, that confidence was completely absent during my visit. Would I return to Mr. Lube in the future? Perhaps the Appleby location in Burlington, as they seemed genuinely concerned and were willing to properly assess and address the issues. However, based on this experience, I would be very hesitant to return to the original location. Shocked to see the rating this Mr Lube has! read more

Though I believe this is a true generalization of Mr. Lube practices in general, from what I've seen in my past experiences accross the GTHA.... this specific review is for the Mr. Lube location in Hamilton on Mount Albion Road. This place is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! Firstly, they are the biggest scammers ever, walking up to your window dozens of times per oil change telling you that there are additional critical things that need changing. While I sat for my last oil change, I had my windows wide open, and any other car that pulled up beside me... it was the EXACT same thing. One recommendation after another after another. Always attempting to tack on another couple hundred $$ to every oil change. Secondly, during my most recent oil change, they kept insisting that I require an oil filter change as well. Multiple times they removed the filter to bring it to my window to show me what it looks like ... and in doing this over and over, they ended up puncturing a hose near the oil filter, and after the fact told me that my car is not drive-able and that it is gushing oil everywhere. They then said that it was at a level that I wouldn't even make it down the street without losing all of my oil... and that I'd have to leave my car with them for 3 days so that they can order a new part. When I told them that they obviously caused this damage they insisted that it wasn't true and that this is how it was when I got there. Such liars. ABSOLUTE NONSENSE. Sadly, I pre-payed so that I didn't have my leverage when it came to getting some money back, which, as you might well imagine, they denied me. So, after damaging my car, leaving me car-less for more than 1/2 of my visit in Hamilton, they offered me nothing by way of compensation. They acted as though they'd done enough because they replace this hose for free..... when the fact is, they were the ones who damaged it in the first place. They literally acted as though in repairing the damage that they caused was them doing me a favour. These pushy liars are not to be trusted. This is one of the worst car related experiences I've ever had in my entire life. I'd suggest that anyone considering going here because it is convenient to think again. You'd be MUCH better off taking an extra hour or 2 out of your day to have your services done properly, by trustworthy people who aren't trying to shove hundreds of other (un)"necessary" services down your throat. read more

I called them they wanted me to drive the car with NO OIL !!! They were so rude to me on phone telling me I'm wasting my time with the conversation. I have gone in today to put on my summer tires for the third season which were fine in November 2023. During process of replacing they broken 1 tire and bulged 2. So they had damaged by over inflating and through poor handling (I saw technician banging the tire damaged with a hammer) 3 out of 4 tires. Then they offered to put back my winter tires free of charge but they would not do anything about the damaged tires. Since I have to travel to Montreal on Monday I had to buy new tires. Which they over charged me 50/tire (http://blacktires.ca 101/tire - goodyear eagle 15 inch). I came in for 260 CAD work and ended up paying 945 CAD. When you see this place, keep driving and save not only your money, but maybe even your LIFE! I stopped getting my oil changed here about a year ago, mainly because they NEVER stop trying to up-sell you more services. As the new oil-change place couldn't change the fluid in my manual transmission, I reluctantly went to Mr. Lube, as they had changed it last time (almost 200,000 kms earlier). After telling them what I wanted done, it was obvious that they weren't familiar with how to go about the task (always new faces whenever I went there). After about 15 minutes of milling around, at times 4 technicians standing in front of my car, they finally got to work. After about 30 minutes, they appeared to be finished, but kept telling me that they were 'checking things' and it would be another 5 or 10 minutes. The whole operation took over an hour; when I remembered the first time, that and an oil change took less than 30 minutes. They finally gave me the green light and opened the bay door to send me on my way. When I got to my destination 20 minutes later, my car ran out of power-steering fluid...and after a quick look under the hood, I could see one of the power steering lines connected to the rack had developed a leak, IN THE EXACT AREA WHERE MR. LUBE TECHS WERE WORKING. These incompetent idiots bumped the line leading to the rack at least once, as there were obvious signs of the dirt being rubbed off. The long delay and inspection now told me that they knew what they did, didn't know how to admit their guilt and just sent me on my way down the road, with a potentially UNSAFE vehicle...nothing like quality customer care!!! BOTTOM LINE: If there was a significant leak when I drove into their garage, causing the system to lose over half it's contents with 20 minutes of driving, the technician should have informed me of what they discovered...as they never pointed the issue out, it's a sure thing that it was caused by THEIR ACTIONS!!!! If you value your life AND your car, don't ever go to this business as they obvious don't care about anything other than selling you much more than you pulled in for...and with terrible workmanship, it will cost you $$$ even after you leave their shop read more

I came in to get an oilchange and was made to feel like I needed to tow my truck to the junkyard. First I was advised that I needed my transmission fluid changed, then it was my air filter, then it was the transfer case/differential fluid, then apparently I had a battery/battery case issue and finally rustproofing, as I had many "rusty parts" underneath my truck... What you need to know is that my truck is a 2017 Ram 1500 that has had routine maintenance of fluids, at approx 120k, recent brakes done and my truck has ZERO rust and has an ERPS system. I have heard stories of "shops" trying to take advantage of customers by trying to sell or upsell them unnecessary services and products, but have never encountered it personally...until now. Shame on that facility! I know what you will say..."it is a franchise and that is their doing", but at the end of the day it is YOUR company name that is being sullied... In retrospect, I looked online after the fact and found that the reviews for this facility are atrocious, especially from yelp. read more

Was just in for first time, last time, l wanted a regular oil change, not synthetic, or premium, he said we don't have,pardon,yet you are showing on a laminate paper, what services you have in oil, and the prices.,no we don't have regular oil,excuse me, l have never had synthetic oil on my 2007 Camry 4cyl, never been asked ever. Tried to sell me more expensive service being a woman and tried to taken advantage of this, is not n my cards. After a few weeks i have oil leaking from transmission and engine, i don't know how come, if i go there for oil change they touch my transmission to. I'm never going back to this place ,I'm pretty sure they put regular oil in my car it calls for synthetic oil. Then a couple days later after the oil change the shield that covers bottom of the motor was hanging down on the road. I brought it to Honda dealer and had the oil changed and they put the cover on properly. You guys can kiss my ass your not qualified to work on dinky toys. went to get an regular oil change on Sunday July, 5 2020 didn't up getting my oil change, because they started doing all these extra stuff checking, cabin filter , fan belt etc so I said please I need just on oil change nothing else. I've been to this place a few times and the service has hit an all time low. Not only did I feel like I was being ripped off - more so than normal; they also didn't understand part of getting an oil change is resetting the oil change required sensor. Since they didn't rest it, at 3000km the oil change required warning message came on, and now I keep getting emails and calls saying I'm overdue on my oil change. The whole point of paying more and going to Mr. Lube, is to save time; and they have officially wasted way too much of mine. Twice now they have stripping one of the bolts and blamed it on the person who last serviced it, and then they try to get me to pay to replace it; which is a hard sell because they were the last ones to service it lol. read more

Went in for an oil change and was told that my transmission needed service because of the warranty. Told them all I wanted was an oil change so the guy said they would look at the transmission quick. The service tech forgot to bolt the transmission cover back on and it ended up falling off the next morning and was dragging on the pavement. If I was on the highway that could have caused a massive accident that could have ended quite differently. I went in and they reattached it and gave me a 25% discount for my inconvenience on my next service.. Not sure what next service as I no longer trust them. 25% off for something that could have killed a whole family over negligence..? read more

You come in for an oil change and they find all sorts of problems with your vehicle. There is no customer service and they are not even able to turn off the maintenance required light after the oil change is completed. I talk with the manager and after he says he has done everything he can he says "go home and check on YouTube how to get it turned off" really?!?! I just paid $105 for service and I should go home and see how to turn it off?!?! I told the manager Muhhamad Naveed to fix it cause I was not going to. I told the "manager" I have never had this issue with a real mechanic changing my oil. After an exchange of words he had a technician look it up and said "next time don't bring it here, take it to your mechanic" I guess they do not need the money. Worst oil change ever. Manager argued with me over tire pressure of my work van. He said they tested and all good . They set for 35 pounds but the manufacturer rates it at 45.and the sticker from the manufacturer says 45. Then they showed me a cup with dirty oil in it and said that's from my transmission. I just had a transmission service at the dealer a month ago! I asked how he got the dirty oil and he said from the drain plug on the transmission. This transmission is a sealed unit with no drain plug according to the manufacturer. Manufacturers also say , oil change every 8000. Km. He insisted every 5 .even with semi synthetic. Also the manager kept snorting back snot, I thought I was going to throw up. Manager was rude. Tried to upsell me with uneeded services and when I declined he got mad. I asked for his name and his attitude changed a bit..I have been to this location before and had excellent service. Seems to be a new franchisee this time .this time will be my last time. read more

So i went to this place and they sqweared up my tire and they charged me 200 bucks to put my rims and tires on and could of went to canadain tire for 88 bucks and they stripped my one rim so back i had to pay to get fix for 543 bucks on top the owener gave me the wrong number and never contacted me and told the guy who fixed my car he would pay but i never seen a dime and ill never go back there plz im telling you guys they dont know what they are doing read more
