We wanted to post our review regarding the service Jerry and the Port Chester Florist team provided for our wedding in July, 2015. We've also shared photos (071815_..) which reflect the quality of Jerry's work. Jerry is professional, vastly experienced and creative. He knows FLOWERS. This was evident after our first consultation with him and we knew we had nothing to worry about. He was attentive to detail, down to earth and adhered to the budget that we proposed. He was able to see our vision for our wedding very quickly: we shared with him a single photo of a bouquet from a bridal magazine and he was totally on board and made excellent recommendations for us. What made him so extraordinary as a wedding florist was that he was able to accommodate last minute wedding day requests in a courteous and professional manner: 1. Balloons to mark the entrance to the chapel. 2. Runner for the aisle of the chapel. 3. Extra flowers for our wedding cake (frosting was smudged during transport to reception hall). We were deeply moved and immensely appreciated his understanding and prompt service on the day of our wedding. He just did this magical job with no questions asked...We had very smooth communications with him and his team throughout the preparation to our wedding. I was very happy with how much time Jerry and the staff worked with me on my beautiful bouquets that I ordered for my long-time best friends. I am so picky and indecisive. I was scared they would not understand my visuals and quirky tastes, but they came through with flying colors!! So patient and kind. Every Bride wants her wedding day to be perfect... look perfect... go as planned. I am so happy to say that mine was and did, thanks to the wonderful staff at Port Chester Florist and Greenhouse (Mr. Bokay). We ordered flowers for the rehearsal dinner, the cocktail hour/reception, obviously bouquets, and for a brunch the next morning. Every arrangement looked spectacular. Words can not describe the quality and beauty of each arrangement. I worked very closely with Jerry, and he made sure that all of my ideas came to life, and that all of my wedding colors were complimented by the arrangements. I would recommend this vendor to any bride who is getting married in the Westchester area. The prices were very, very reasonable in direct comparison to the high quality work that was done. We used Port Chester Florist for our wedding and the flowers were astoundingly beautiful. I had a couple different types of orchids and roses for our bouquets and there was not a single flower that wasn't fresh or had a tinge of wilting on the petals. Prices were also very reasonable in comparison to other quotes that we received. The owner himself meets with brides and every promise that was made was delivered. read more

I have gotten boutenieres (?) and my friend got corsages from this place a few years back for high school prom! It was a lot of fun to pick them out and they had a good selection. I can't remember what else they had so therefore I'm giving it 3 stars right now BUT I'm planning on getting Valentine's Day flowers here so I'll check back soon and let you know how it went this time around! read more

I'm extremely happy with the flowers I purchased for my daughter's wedding. The bouquets, boutonnières and centerpieces were beautifully done. It was obvious there was a lot of attention paid to creating them. The delivery was made as promised and working with Jerry to make this day special was a pleasure. I went to this florist on Friday to order an arrangement of cacti to be put into a rectangular container that I picked out at their location. I needed this for the following Thursday which was Thanksgiving. They stated that they had to order the individual cacti, the delivery would come in the following Wednesday at noon and for me to call them then to find out when my order would be ready. They asked for payment before I left the premises which I gave them. Wanting to confirm my order (I just had this gut feeling) I called them Tuesday afternoon and again they said to call Wednesday as to the pick up time. So at 3pm the next day I called and they were clearly very confused. I was told that the cacti arrangements didn't come in and did I want to pick something else. I stated that they were supposed to order individual cacti and plant them in the container I picked out. They made some ridiculous statement stating they had planned to let me choose from pre-made ones or the one I ordered but that the pre-made ones didn't come in. Then they said it's being put together now... WTF?? I go down and they point out what was made. Not only was it a thrown together item with the incorrect bedding it wasn't even in the container I had paid for it to be put in. I asked for my money back which they gave me. You would think that the manger or someone would have apologized but no, nothing. I left there and went to Floral Fashions where I found not only what I was looking for but for less cost. We used Jerry and his team for our wedding in Pearl River, New York this past weekend. We had absolutely the best experience with him starting from day 1. He was incredibly responsive to our many questions, was extremely organized and thorough, had a vast knowledge of the floral options, and was able to envision and create exactly what we dreamed of. On the wedding day, everything was brought in early and the flowers were absolutely perfect and beautiful. My husband and I used Mr. Bokay Flowers and Greenhouse (Port Chester Florist) for our wedding flowers (July 2014). We shopped around for a florist, but as soon as we met with Jerry, the owner, we knew our search was over. Jerry is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the field. He is very attentive to detail and even educated us about the different flowers in our arrangements. He listened to all of our requests and ideas and truly went above and beyond to make beautiful arrangements for us! His prices were also very fair. We were amazed with how beautiful all of the flowers looked on our wedding day, and we received many compliments from our family and friends as well. Jerry's staff was also very friendly, attentive and thorough throughout the entire process. On the day of our wedding, all of our flowers were delivered on time. It's not every day that you find someone who is so dedicated to their craft and truly cares about their clients and the quality of their work. The worst florist I have ever had to deal with. Not only did they not give me the flowers I had asked for in my arrangements but some of the additions to the arrangement looked cheap! I called to complain about it and the manager was horrific to me. She got my nerves going and my hands were shaking because she was so nasty over the phone to me and this was over a family member passing away. The owner did not have the decency to call me personally but sent an email explaining things that should have been explained to me over the phone while making the order. They are the absolute worst florist, definitely not professional at all and did not even reimburse me for anything. I also came across some of the cards that came from them from a family member passing prior to this and they did not spell one of the names right on the card that was sent from another family member. Unbelievable!!! You need to be careful when purchasing flowers from one of the online companies like 1-800 Flowers, because these orders will go directly to this florist. I would highly recommend calling a reputable florist directly so you don't have to go through the hell I did. read more

There are not enough ways for me to describe how happy I am that I chose to work with Jerry & his team at Mr. Bokay for my wedding. From the very start they were incredibly responsive and helpful - emails and calls were always answered quickly and warmly (which I really really appreciated), and my questions always thoroughly answered and explained. I had sent various pictures and ideas that I had and Jerry (and his team) had them all on file and ready to discuss each time we met. They understood my ideas perfectly and really worked within my budget to make my vision come to life. The flowers at the church & reception were so incredibly lush, fresh and perfectly put together (true story - after I got back from my honeymoon over two weeks later the flowers my mom had kept from the reception were out on display and still gorgeous!) and the candle centerpieces we discussed came out exactly as I wanted - it was truly magical. I wanted some personal touches & asked if we could incorporate lace from my mothers dress as the wrapping of my bouqet and a charm for my late father and he went above and beyond to make it absolutely perfect for me - I was and still am thrilled. He also incorporated mason jars that my grandmother used as vases for flowers around the reception site at the bar and on the gift tables, etc. and it was another gorgeous personal aspect. I was recommended by my best friend (who then recommended another friend of ours and he knocked it out of the park for her wedding too!), who was recommended by a friend of hers, and I will definitely be continuing to recommend to everyone I know. With so many vendors to work with & talk to so often for so long, we wanted to make sure we worked with people who not only do incredible work but also people who we respected and were easy to work with - and that is definitely what we got with Jerry & his team. They knocked it out of the park - can't recommend them enough!! read more

When they say Yes they can, they really mean it. I called late trying to get flowers delivered to my wife, but they had already closed for the evening. Luckily, someone answered the telephone. I explained the situation and she spoke to the owner and he not only took my order and made one of the most beautiful displays my wife ever saw, but he even delivered himself.
