Not only did he receive the cut, but Chris also trimmed his bushy eyebrows and used warm foam on his neck area before shaving it. Nick is wonderful with kids (especially the squirmy toddler variety), and he's a pro at distraction. When we arrived today for the haircut, Nick had the TV at his station on a kids show, all ready for the tech-savvy toddler. I showed Nick some toddler haircut pictures that I liked, and he got started. He had my husband sit with our toddler on his lap, so that the little guy would feel more at ease. Whenever our little man got antsy or scared, Nick would help to distract and calm him. Nick also pointed out a wicked cowlick in our little dude's hair to us and explained how to cut/comb his hair to keep the cowlick relatively tamed. In the end, our little man had a handsome, short haircut with some layering and got to pick out a lollipop for his troubles. I'd highly recommend Nick for toddler haircuts. He only works Friday and Saturday and is usually booked, so making an appointment is the way to go. Currently, it's $23 plus tip for an appointment haircut. (It is sooo worth it; after spending 2 hours chasing my screaming kiddo around trying to give him a home haircut myself and ending up with hair everywhere and a terrible haircut, a toddler-friendly barber is a blessing!) TL;DR: Nick gives fantastic toddler haircuts and knows how to keep 'em distracted.

The current environment is not conducive to a bunch of men, women and families sitting close together and gripping their number. This place removes that stress but also with an awesome guy at the helm of looking dapper again. Haircuts can be easily reserved online. After I locked an appointment (yes that was new to me for a barber, but fast and painless), I was exactly on time and Jimmy was ready when I entered. To underline being prompt, as I was leaving another gent was coming in for his cut and with a sweep of the floor he had no wait as well. I went in with inches of curls distracted by an unruly beard, but left feeling clean and fresh. A 2 tapered to a 7 was the ask and instead of just buzzing away Jimmy listened to the intent of what I wanted done and delivered. He was willing to make any correction but his tact of not just buzzing was refreshing. For 22 dollars total he also lined up my beard and shaped it how I asked. Well worth the money. Small shop and very comfortable. I am not one to talk at a barber but honestly Jimmy and I chatted the whole time and I felt like I made a new friendly connection. With a solid cut to boot, this is my new barber in Tucson.
