Michael did the most beautiful job in capturing my wedding! My wedding had a very early start so thank you Michael for waking up early on a Saturday to work. As soon as he arrived, he started to get to work. He was shooting the getting ready shots and detail shots of my morning dress/shoes. As soon as my groom arrived, the door games started and Michael made sure to have cameras from multiple different angles to get everything happening. There were close up shots of groomsmen making face, wide shots to see everything happening for the games, and a camera facing the bridesmaids to get their reactions and comments. Michael was very prepared to make sure to capture as much footage as possible. It was the same for the whole day, he had cameras for every angle; The tea ceremony, western ceremony, and reception! In the end, all the footage helped him make the most beautiful video. He picked the perfect music and compiled all the different shots to relive our most perfect day. Family would tell me that they would cry again as they were watching the video; Feeling all the feels all over. Michael also made sure to get the best audio for any speaking moments so he provided a clip on mic. Our vows were clearly heard in our video, as well as, any speeches that were made during the reception. It was pretty loud on the day of that I'm sure I missed some parts of people's speeches. Luckily the mic was used and now I get to watch my father in law's speech all over and hear him clearly! My husband and I are very happy with the end product from Michael. Michael and Elvis were absolutely AWESOME! I planned everything with Michael before my wedding day. On the day of, Michael and Elvis arrived on time to all locations! They worked smoothly alongside my photographer who they coincidentally have worked with before at another wedding. They are so friendly and outgoing yet professional! I felt like I could ask for anything and not feel judged - such as refusing to read my groom's letter aloud while opening his gift because I KNEW I was gonna burst out in tears and you wouldn't be able to understand me anyways! Finally circling back to leave a review after my wedding last year, and I would highly recommend Michael and his team for your wedding video needs. I'm a big believer of letting people just do what you've paid them to do, because sometimes the customer doesn't know what they actually want. Case in point, me. We hired Michael and his team for our wedding in January 2022. I found him through his reviews and decided to book him because I noticed how well he captured many aspects of the day in each preview. He was also very easy to talk to during the consultation phase. Fast forward to the wedding day, we knew we were in good hands. We were originally going with MCJ Photo to do both their photography and videography for our wedding. Unfortunately (fortunately!), their main videographer was already booked for our wedding date, but MCJ Photo recommended MP Films. They provided MP Film's contact information and website, where the bf (now hubby) and I were checking out the work. We definitely liked what we saw, especially the fact that we would tear up on the wedding videos of people we didn't even know. Talk about evoking emotion... So, I emailed MP Films and spoke to Michael. Very professional, very cordial, super-helpful and super-informative. We had all the info that we needed/wanted from the first phone call/email (and the website has a lot of information), where he did request to meet us in person to answer any other questions. Because his work spoke for him, the meeting to us was mostly a formality, where our ultimate plan was to sign the contract that day. Do note that depending on the season, he may not be able to meet during a weekend, as he could be shooting a wedding that day! But, Michael will definitely put someone on his schedule if he can commit to it. We met him at his original office in San Dimas. There was a little hiccup, and the meeting time was delayed, but Michael was able to rectify that down the line. Once we met him, we sat down, saw a few of his videos to give us an idea of what a particular package would offer, loved what we saw and how we felt with Michael, and we put in our deposit and signed the contract that day. Over the course of the next several months, Michael and I would email each other, mostly me emailing him with questions and double-checking with him on what he needed from us. Very smooth, very thorough. I, admittedly, checked other videographers' blogs to make sure that I wasn't forgetting anything and that I was fully prepared on what was going to happen on the wedding (eek!). I messaged him the day before the wedding to verify the hotel address, the venue's address, and the hotel rooms that we would be staying at. Michael and his team were on time on the day of our wedding. He greeted me, and then went down to business. Set up the tripods, took the shots of the dress/jewelry, took shots of certain things I requested (knives, watches, presents, etc.), etc. He and his partner communicated well with each other, with myself, with the wedding party, and he wouldn't stop shooting until he got the shot he wanted. Brides: make sure you are comfortable in your dress/makeup/shoes for the entire day, and that you're able to smile a LOT for the entire day. Grooms: be on time, be cool, and, remember, you're making the bride, the love of your life, look even more beautiful. We provided him a parking pass for both the hotel and the venue, so make sure you provide this to him ahead of time (we were able to day-of with no issues). Couples: I would suggest providing at least some snackage for your vendors and wedding party. It's amazing how hungry one can get when hungry. The rest of the night was a blur. I know we had 3 cameras running, but we didn't really notice them or knew where they were. That's how smoothly MP Films was able to coordinate themselves and find ideal shooting locations. Michael found us personally at the end of the night when he was leaving, we got our selfie shots, and hugged/shook hands. We had requested, when we first signed our contract, to have all of the raw footage, which Michael was very happy to oblige. I provided him a large external harddrive on the day of the wedding before he started shooting, where he stored it in a safe area. We spoke to him a week later, met him, and got all of the raw footage, where I started bawling again at some of the shots when hubby and I got home. The shots were great, there were a lot of awesome views that we wouldn't have seen, and there were some cute creative outlooks. It definitely made us eager to see how the video/trailer would turn out. When we signed our contract, we were aware that he would need a 10- to 12-week timeline when everything would be complete. Unfortunately, by the time of the 12-week deadline, he was not done. As hubby and I have done our own amateur video editing, we understood that having a lot of footage and editing it into either 60 minutes or even 4 minutes is very difficult, so we asked him to take his time and finish the other projects where his customers needed the videos more. He did provide us a preview of our 60-minute video at that time and it looked awesome on the portions that he edited. We got our 4 minute trailer to share with our friends/families at the 20-week mark. Still haven't received the DVD/CD with our 60-minute video on it, but it should be here in a week. Bottom line: awesome work, very professional, and it's a great team. He worked well with our photographers, and he got all of the shots we wanted in such a small time frame. read more

There was also a moment during our wedding where the DJ played a different version of one of our requested songs, and Mike was able to edit the music/sound in our feature video, so that we will be able to hear the right song version whenever we want to watch footage of that special moment. The best part was that we actually enjoyed spending time with the MPWeddingFilms team on the day of our wedding! They were supportive, positive, professional, flexible, fun, and creative! They even worked really well with our photographers, so that neither of them were ever "competing" to capture a moment or getting in each others' way. An MP Wedding Film is a CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE! I've seen wedding films and they've all been very similar. Preparation, ceremony and reception. But, that's it! They're like wedding flip books. Still shots in succession. When I saw Michael's film my jaw dropped. It seemed like so much more. He took my MOH's speech and our preacher's words and turned it into the theme of our wedding. When I used to think of "videographers," I thought of pushy people with big cameras that get in the way of all the action for the sake of getting their "shot." With MP, that's not what I got. Michael arrived 30 minutes earlier than agreed. He scouted the area, took his scenic shots and then blended in with the guests. He was so well blended in that I almost forgot he was there at times! The event went on seamlessly. He gave us no pressure, helped us keep calm during the times we got overwhelmed and brought out the best in our guests. Most importantly, when Michael delivered the final product, it was better than I could have ever expected! It was full of surprises and creative angles I myself didn't see during the whole event. I believe hiring MP was the best investment that we made for our party. We spent so much on decorations, food, the venue, invitations and everything else, that the best way to preserve those memories forever is by hiring a professional videographer that will capture the best overall view of the event. If you entrust the job to just family or friends, we all know it will either be just focused on their certain circle of friends or footage of their drunken craziness. Of course I turned to Yelp when looking for a wedding videographer :P I looked into about 7-8 videographers, and decided on MP Wedding Films due to their great Yelp reviews, package cost, videography style, and the ability to use licensed songs. My husband and I set up a video chat with Michael before booking him. He was very professional, responsive to emails, and he and his team were a pleasure to work with. Where do I start? Awesome experience from the consult day, up to the day we received our Copies. Mr. Papilla's production is exactly as advertised, if not better! My wife and I were shocked at how much footage him and his team were able to capture, because frankly, the only time we ever notice them was when we do our solo "couple" shots away from everyone else. His videos are very cinematic and everything is so smooth! My wife and I watch our wedding video every year as part of our wedding anniversary tradition. To this day, were still amazed at how everything was presented! No doubt that We'd pick MP Wedding Films everytime we had to pick. I can't say enough about MP films! Our wedding trailer and video exceeded our expectations. We tear up every time we watch our trailer. I love how he was able to capture the love and beauty of our wedding in a 3 minute mini film. As much as we love to watch our video we know not everyone wants to sit through a 2 hour wedding video so having a mini version is perfect! Michael was awesome! He arrived on time and worked well with my photographer. I was beyond happy with my trailer, but thought I was biased. However, I couldn't even count how many compliments I got about how amazing it was! I still hear about it.
