It IS trendy, in a hipster/Westside way -- it sort of seems like it's trying to be a seedy dive bar, but it's too popular for that (and the decor is too cool for a dive bar). They have good beer on tap, plenty of pizza options from Slice Girls downstairs, and good tunes. It's dark in here, and it's LOUD, so don't go here if you want to have a meaningful debate about the merits of Fauvist painting with your friend the art student. DO go here if you want a few bevvies with laid-back friends in a cool environment. I've been here a few times, mostly for drinking, but have also had the food. They have a couple of vegan options including a vegan pizza and a vegan share platter with breads and dips, all clearly marked on the menu. I had the vegan pizza ("Livin It Vegan It") with olives and mushrooms and basil. It was alright, but not super memorable. Mostly you're coming here for the vibe -- typical Melbourne warehouse-hidden-off-a-main-street setting, where the ground floor is a pizza place and you take the stairs to the actual bar area, which is a giant dimly-lit room, with lots of different seating areas available. Definitely come check it out for drinks if you're in the area, but don't come here necessarily for the food or ability to converse ;)

I was so distracted by how great the food looked and smelled I forgot to take photos of the entree and the mains but holy smokes they were divine! The place has such a chill and relaxing vibe, and the service was absolutely outstanding. They're super friendly, and super helpful, clearly run by a super close knit team I even had the privilege of chatting to the new owners who have just taken over and I'm so excited to have gotten to hear about all the plans for this place! I'm so excited to see where this place goes! If you're around the Footscray area go say hi!

Fox in the Corn is a beer bar that specializes in pasta. Beer and pasta??? Sign me up! There is a HUGE list of craft beers to pick from its overwhelming lol and all the reason why you'd go back! They have some wine as well and house sodas that you can request to have some vodka or other basic spirit to put in. There are 3 types of pastas to pick from and a good assortment of different sauces to pick from. My partner and i had fettuccine in creamy mushroom and leek sauce & spinach and ricotta ravioli in basil pesto and garlic panko sauce. They were both to die for. The pasta was cooked perfectly and each of the sauces had their own unique zing to it as was oh so creamy and buttery. They had a pork belly broth sauce that i so will be going back to try!!! If pasta is too heavy for you they also offer cheese and meat boards - again i am super keen to go back and try. Shout out to who i think is the owner - he was super nice, super helpful, super enthusiastic and clearly proud of the establishment. Was always on the ball with making sure the customers were right and was keen to hear on feedback of any sort. He also informed us that eventually they will be able to allow customers to buy beers to takeaway! Do yourself a favor - if you're ever in the area and don't feel like an 8bit burger then give this place a shot! I'll def be a returning customer. Good work guys!

The wait staff were fine, the food was amazing both delicious and great value, and we were able to take home the left over pizza we couldn't eat. I went back again in the same week, for lunch. The order was placed at 3.30pm for delivery between 6.25pm-6.45pm. At 6.50pm I called Pacinos to check in as to whether the food was far away (we had kids waiting for food). I was told the food was waiting to be collected and had been ready at 6.30pm. I explained that I had ordered the food earlier in the day and was waiting for delivery. The manager, said that they don't do delivery. I explained that I had ordered from THEIR website where they offer free delivery for orders over $100. The manager said that the website had nothing to do with them and that I needed to come and get the food. Again I explained that I had used the Pacinos website - not a third party for the order, and they were responsible for delivering the food, as per their website. The manager asked if I wanted him to come to my house, hold a candle above his head and sing Happy Birthday to me. I asked to speak to the owner. The manger said the owner was overseas and 'good luck' trying to contact them. My husband and I decided to go to the store to get the food and show him the confirmation email screen shots confirming the delivery. On our way we received a call from an Uber driver saying the food was on its way. The food arrived at 7.25pm and was stone cold. Overall, a terrible, rude experience from Pacinos.
