This is a steel footbridge that was built in 1903 and has some attractive ornamentation at the ends of each span. It was built as a toll bridge originally, and the toll booth remains in place at the southwest corner of the bridge....so that is some kind of a cool trivia note for those who love historical stuff.
A private association called Mozartstegverein funded and operated the toll bridge initially. The bridge became a public bridge, and tolls ceased to be collected in 1921.
