This is a horrible health care facility. They never answer their phones or return call, with their "Holier than thou" attitude. There customer service is terrible. My wife moved over to Salina Family Practice, and I think I'm going to do the same. I have an appointment for yearly exam, I am going to cancel and reschedule with Family Practice. Mowery Clinic needs to conduct customer service workshops for ALL employees, including service providers! The arrogance of the doctor I dealt with is beyond acceptable and he should be ashamed of calling a patient to lecture about a voice mail received. Instead of communicating full details, this doctor's communication left out crucial details regarding prescription refills. This doctor contacted me to lecture me about a voice mail I left regarding displeasure about an unneeded refill. Instead of owning the lack of details in the text sent to me, the doctor began a lecture. I hung up! The doctor immediately called back and proceeded to "fire me as a patient," informing me that I had 30 days to find a new provider. I told him to save his money and time, rather than waste it to send a letter informing me of the same. I was already planning to "fire" him, so no shock here! Treated terribly! Recently my doctor retired however I was not notified by Mowery of that happening. I only found out when I called regarding an ear infection. At that time, they shared that Dr Buck had retired months ago and gave me some options for a replacement. At that time, I chose Dr. Ross and said I needed to see him regarding my ear. They told me he could not see me until I did an intake visit and that could not be until May. I inquired about what to do regarding my infection and they told me to go to a walk-in clinic. Did I mention how I've been a 21-year patient here......unbelievable. Fast forward a month and my daily blood pressure and cholesterol medications run out. I call my pharmacy to refill, but I need a new script as there were no more refills on the old script which happens every year. I tell the pharmacy that Dr. Buck has retired, and I now have Doctor Ross so they will have to call him. They call me back and say that Mowery refused the refills. I call Mowery and they again tell me I'm technically not a patient of Doctor Ross's and must first attend my intake which isn't until May. I explain that I'm a patient of Mowery and Dr. Buck retirement has nothing to do with the fact that I need these daily medications to keep my numbers in line so what should I do. After some back and forth they finally agreed to fill the scripts to get me by until my May appointment. At this time, I calmly and professionally share my frustration with them about this process as it was not my fault Dr. Buck decided to retire. During the call they apologized for the inconvenience, and we ended the call amicably. Twenty minutes later I get a call from my pharmacy to let me know the script was renewed and they shared with me that Dr. Ross nurse had told them I was very mean to her on the phone. I assured my pharmacy that was not accurate and that I was simply sharing my frustrations with them in the same tone I was speaking to pharmacy right now. They shared with me they had other instances where the Mowery team was disparaging patients to them over the phone. Very nice...right! Upset about this I call Mowery and asked to speak to the clinic administrator who is named Ginny Vanwinkle (Sorry on spelling). I shared with her what had happened and that like the clinic I have been a customer of that pharmacy for 21 years and didn't appreciate what they had done. I shared with her that in 21 years as both a patient and a customer I have never had any issues with the staff at Mowery and felt my voicing my disappointment in how Dr. Bucks' retirement has been handled was my right as a patient. Ginny shared that was unacceptable and she would get the bottom of it, and we hung up. However, the very next morning, on a Saturday, there was a knock on my door from a courier with a certified letter. They can't get me in for a medical emergency but can send a courier to my house on a Saturday morning.... pretty amazing. The letter was from Ginny, and it stated Doctor Ross was not interested in adding me as a patient and I needed to seek my medical attention elsewhere. Curious if Dr. Ross even knows that letter was sent by Ms Vanwinkle??? So, to anyone out there considering Mowery Clinic please beware! They want to only do things their way, on their schedule, except responsibility for nothing and if you voice a one concern after 21 years they throw you out of their practice. The upside of the story.... I then called Comcare who assigned me a doctor that day and scheduled my intake with him with days of that phone call. The staff at Comcare were so amazing that I felt robbed in life that I didn't choose them 21 years ago. Don't make the same mistake I did and instead choose ComCare first you won't regret it. read more

I waited for 45 days to get an appointment for Dr. Jessica Brown. I then waited 1 hour my appointment time ( they wanted me to arrive 45 minutes early). Finally asked if she was running behind and found out she wasn't even in the office! There was some kind of emergency and "she said it wouldn't be to long". After another hour I asked if I could reschedule.....it wouldn't be for another month. I drove 45 miles and had to take the afternoon off work for this. I was so I just left. There was another couple who drove all the way from Nebraska that only waited for an hour before they left. I will not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Dr. Jesica Brown neglected to give a face-to-face follow-up report with me after an endoscopy. Was told I was her last endoscopy of the day, so maybe that's why. i was told her office would call with results within 3-5 days, but I never got a call. I work from home, so I'm sure I did not miss a call from them. When I called Mowery Clinic after five days had passed, I was told I would hear from the doctor soon, but still nothing. Her office took 12 days to finally get back to me by snail mail--a one-sentence report that said my endoscopy was normal, which was inaccurate. I finally got word from my general practioner with the result of the endoscopy, that I had gastritis. Not happy with the general "don't care" tone of Mowery Clinic as well as their blatant incompetency in not giving a full and accurate report of my endoscopy. Dr. Brown also got snippy with me during an appointment. I'm now looking for a new clinic and gastroenterologist. read more

They refuse to answer their phones. They actually have in the out going message repeated calls will only prompt a longer wait for a response. The administrative side is extremely unprofessional and show no regard for the patients that count on them to their medical care. read more

The Dr. Brown looked down my stomach and found nothing wrong she said. I was left to go in severe pain. Come back in six months. I cancel that six month and told the nurse she didn't do anything for me so why come back. At least Dr. Ellis office tried to help. Albert K. read more
