A portion of the previous congregation is still here, but the new congregation as a whole is now Pastored by formal NFL player, Terrell Fletcher. Every time that I've heard him preach, the word was on point! You no doubt can see his relationship with God on the platform and sense the presence of God in the room. Cosmetically, the building is a bit on the older side, but they're renovating and take up plenty of offering collections. Ha! There's a lot of young adults here who seem to have forgotten that they weren't going to a fashion show and they're in the presence of The King, which was concerning. We should never be too cute to praise God. Prayer can fix that (and everything else)! I've met a lot of friendly members here and I think this would be a great church home for some folks out there. The complete re-doing of the sacristy area is only part of it, but all of the church now looks fresh, clean, modern and inviting. Thanks to the many parishioners who donated the funds to have this expensive overhaul done. As for the community there ... the members of this parish? They are the most welcoming and warm folks I have encountered here in San Diego's Catholic parishes. And the annual events, like the Fall carnival and many many others, are the best ! I don't live in the parish boundaries any longer but I drive the 25 miles to this wonderful parish every Sunday and other occasions.

This place actually does invite and welcome all to dwell here, all to partake and all to serve. It's also a place of action. A lot of other churches... talk, talk, talk about doing things for others and nothing ever gets started. Not this place. This is a church of action. If you are not a believer yet. Your welcome here. LGBT? Welcome home. Straight? come on in. All races. all creeds. All the broken. All those healing. All faiths. All people. Welcome Home... Love always wins. I find that the bad reviews for this church are people who most likely don't truly understand what it is like to be thrown out of church again and again. What it's like to be mocked constantly your entire life... from childhood to adulthood. The purpose of this church is to help people heal from the trauma of religion first and life second. To slowly repair your broken heart to heal. To break the chains that hold us down and to teach the true love of Jesus... The love that Mr and Mrs reviewer think we deserve, by further downtrodding on us... is not the love that the Bible teaches. This healing in itself is a slow process. Especially when you have to continually hear the rhetoric from Politicians, Christian extremists and hateful reviews. Is repentance taught? It is.. maybe not enough, but in a place of healing... nobody needs to hear in a hellfire any longer... we have lived in that long enough for now, and that has never brought anyone to church or to repentance... That just pushes people away. But those of you who give low reviews... You must know... for those who come here and truly want to learn what following Jesus is like... will come to know what repentance is.... will attend one of our home bible study groups... will move on and forward with a life of Christ, so don't be so quick to judge off of one or two visits. Nothing should be judged so quickly and offensively. Name me one church who is 100% theologically correct. NOT ONE. Be joyful that there are people coming to a place of wanting God. Be joyful that there are more coming to salvation and love for Christ. Stop trying to be a voice for God. He doesn't need your opinion.
