It is clear how much they adore dogs, and returning them to an active life is their purpose. Beyond the therapy, each visit they looked any Benny for the progress of his recovery. At one point they reminded me that he really needs his two good walks a day. It made me realize that I needed to do better on his walks, and started the regimen. Beyond speeding his recovery, he has come to love his walk time. Benny is that aloof poodle where life is transactional. He was never sure that walks were cool, and he had to be convinced. Not anymore. He loves his walks. The first time around we used a different business, but you can just stop at Splash. TPLO surgery is enough of a difficult challenge. Splash made months 3 and 4, where he was off meds and wanting to do more, not just tolerable but successful. Benny is back. Freshly groomed, he is his old self. Thank you Splash.

We've been going to Kristen for over 5 years now and can honestly say she's single handedly chaged…read morethe lives of all three of our dogs: 1. Our senior girl swam with Kristen until the very end. It was the highlight of her week, and likely extended her life by at least a year. Her swimming improved her mobility, made her feel silly and goofy after, and helped us enjoy her until she was nearly 16! 2. Our young pup has elbow dysplasia, and at 1 year old our surgeon, Dr. Novo, recommended we see Kristen instead of surgery. She did great, avoided surgery and has no elbow issues. A year and a half ago she tore her cruciate ligament and subsequently had to have two TPLOs back to back. With a combination of underwater treadmill and Kristen's expertise, followed by a transition to swimming in the pool and she's got all the mobility of a young dog again! She's now 6 and in great health. 3. Our third dog strained his psoas and again underwater treadmill rehab was recommended. With Kristen's guidance he bounced back and now swims with his sister as often as he can in the pool. Both of our living dogs were seen by a new vet recently and she couldn't stop complimenting their body condition. She thought our 8 year old was 3 he has such great muscle tone Without Kristen I'm not sure where our dogs would be, but I'm thankful everyday we don't have to find out. I recommend hydrotherapy with Kristen to everyone for their pets, injured or not!

Because so many dogs coming here are post-surgery or otherwise having issues, they're super careful to avoid K9-contact and so our first appointment was very low stress. Dr. Mandi worked with my dog to make sure everything was set for our plan. Thereafter we did physical therapy, where Trixie did as much PT as I did learning, water treadmill (which I thought was going to be a disaster but went swimmingly well). You see different team members when you come in so you get a really good perspective on different approaches to the PT/training (Trixie trains easily, me less so). They also are collecting all of the A-Team local providers here, including accupuncture etc.. 5-stars, definitely recommend.

The door was lock but obviously it's business hour. A guy walked out and run back in to grab a brochure. It's so unwelcoming let us wait outside very long. I don't need a leaflet. It's all online. I want to see your facility and meet your people. Treatments aren't cheap I will pay what I will get. But since they can't give me a clue I simply on to a better service out there.

Being a Bernese Mountain dog who believes he's more agile than he is - he's a jumper, spinner, runner and tumbler (which is an indication of his clumsiness) - he has chronic scapular weakness & cervical vertebral instability issues that can cause him intense discomfort at times. After trying the PT and acupuncture route, with relatively good but inconsistent success, we decided to try animal massage. Quimby has been a godsend for Atmos. They see each other weekly and it's made a world of difference in managing his chronic pain and tightness, and has mostly alleviated his behaviors around pain that used to be quite common. He loves his time with Quimby, and she often gets full 120 lb tackle hugs when she arrives. He's a giant puddle of calm happiness after every appointment. The impact of weekly massage for Atmos has been what seems to be a release of the muscle tightness that he constantly carried due to hard impact landings and speed spins. It's as though Quimby's hands have taught his muscles how to relax / release between appointments so he is no longer experiencing the same level of pain. We are incredibly thankful for Quimby and would highly recommend animal massage from ResQ to anyone with a pet who needs a gently, caring and kind healing touch.

The vet prescribed medication and laser treatments but we weren't seeing enough results. We have benefited from going to massage therapists and thought Abi could too. There have been many times when Abi was limping or not able to walk, before her session with Quimby . After these sessions, we could see that Abi was feeling better with increased range of motion and mobility . We are so thankful we found Quimby !

Almost immediately Jennifer's work reduced my pain and over the course of about 4 months she helped me get back to a more normal life. Her approach was gentle, thoughtful and thorough and we discovered that my C-section scar was behind a lot of my low back pain as well. As an added bonus she does house calls and also works with dogs! This was a happy discovery as shortly after starting to work with her, our dog needed knee surgery. She came to the house and worked on both of us and I credit her with shortening the duration of both of our recoveries. At the…read moretime, I was struggling with repeated Achilles tendonitis that kept me from running, I'd seen multiple physical therapists including gait and sports medicine specialist PTs, but everyone was focused on the injury area. Jennifer was the first person who did a full body muscle/motion testing and really dug into the history of my body. Which was admittedly a mess. I had had multiple surgeries, chronic abdominal pain from an inflamed pancreas, some joint arthritis, and prior tendonitis in other joints. She began her detective work: trying to find the source that was forcing accommodations which led to repeated injuries. And in that first session she did something "magical." She had found a resistance weakness in the leg with a particular muscle set. Then she had me hold my fingers on one of my abdominal surgical scars and to repeat the resistance test, and the weakness was gone. I remember coming away from the first long session asking myself, "Wtf?!" I've subsequently come to understand how the scar tissue throughout my body has had a domino effect on other parts of my body, and just by drawing attention to an area, it's like putting your finger on the first domino so that it doesn't fall and topple the rest. Of course, you can't go around life with your fingers on your surgical scars all of the time, so that's where the physical therapy comes in. Jennifer both helps release adhesions and myofascial crunchiness, as well as rehabilitate with exercises. She works wonders.

She's a former vet tech - so she has tons of experience and knowledge about the overall health and well-being of animals. She's incredibly connected in the PDX area and makes great recommendations for anything outside of her expertise. We highly recommend Whitney for both therapeutic and preventative massage. Whitney let him sniff everything in her studio, let him greet her on his terms, and now they are the best of friends. We have been going monthly, and every time we pull into the driveway of the studio he vocalizes his excitement. She works with him directly on his needs, never pushes him and his body, and is really attuned with his needs. I highly recommend anyone to take their dog to massages with Whitney, she had been an asset in our lives.
