So when I finally do show up, cashier says the advertised price is their old price and instead of being able to just honor the posted price she charges me the expensive price... which completely messed up which size container I should have bought... grrr Annnnnnnd... when I mention my almost full stamp card, the cashier said I can just throw it away since it's a new company now so I have to start all over again... even though the GIANT sign outside and elsewhere still has the "old" business name... read more

I'm always greeted by Ashley with a wonderful smile, kindness, and excellent customer service. Being a senior citizen, I appreciated Ramzen's aloha spirit, helping this old man by carrying my five 5 gal water bottles to the car. This is going beyond the call! I went here couple of weeks ago to refill some bottles and the woman there was so stand offish - no aloha at all. Maybe she not from here. But anyway this was my first time and she was kind of mean telling me you pump this cleaner twice than water rinse and don't use so much water because we will have to charge...Gheez. I can only speak of the self service water fill up location. I was greet by a friendly worker who explained the process of filling your bottles. They even have a stamp card program and they keep the card there so you don't have to keep track! I will definitely return as their prices are cheaper than machines located at supermarkets. You can even sanitize your bottles before you fill them up. 2-five gallon bottles for $4.00! I will be back! read more

Came here today (12/11/19) and it was my first time here bringing our 5 gallon water jugs. The location is bwhind Times in Waipahu. It's not the nicest area, but worth it! Wasn't sure how the process worked but thankfully Ashley was there to help my husband and I! She explained the different waters to us and the process. She even took the time to show us how to clean the bottles (which we didn't even think about doing). Even after asking a lot of questions, she was patient, friendly, and so knowledgeable!! If you ever come here when Ashley is working, it's definitely worth it! She even helped us load our car with a coupe jugs!! Her service was great!!! Will definitely come back again. read more

Been here once a couple years ago and went back the other day. The employees were helpful and polite. Prior to coming back, my husband and I would fill our water bottles at Longs. The line to wait to fill our 5 5G bottles would be long. The amount I spent there is far more than here. And I can defiantly taste the difference. This company is a shame to our local businesses. They have no pono aloha in their business dealings. Their technician had an appointment with me to do a residential install and never showed. The customer service representative yelled at me and hung up on me simply because I asked her what was going on and when would the technician come by. I called her back and told her that she has no aloha and needs to take care of her kuleana. She went on a rant saying that she is Hawaiian and top notch in Hawaiiana and is born and raised here. She said I don't know what aloha and kuleana means. I told her that it means not hanging up on people and it also means respecting a deal and holding up your part of it. I cancelled my Menehune water service because it was double the price if not triple when I calculted price/5 gallon bottle alkaline and/or pure water. You're not only paying for the name but the delivery service as well. But if you want to save a few bucks and do it yourself knowing you disinfected your own bottle before filling it then this would be the way yo go. I never knew if my water was ever sitting in a hot warehouse or truck growing bacreria before it was delivered to my house with these commercial water companies so decided to do it myself. However, in my experience Mountain Slope has great customer service! They always offer to help with filling my heavy 5 gallon bottles or loading it into my truck. They show you what to do if you're a new customer and even have a diluted bleach bottle at every station to disinfect your jugs before filling them. There's a discount program with a punch card and deals if you wear their T-shirt on certain days. The Waipahu location is open til 6pm and open on Sundays as well. Can't beat the price for 2 - 5 gallon bottles of alkaline water for $6.50 ($3.25 ea). Only problem is having to carry them yourself when you get home but its worth it in my opinion! read more

This company is by far the most unprofessional yet! That I have come across! Just because the prices are cheap on water per gallon doesn't mean anything! I can understand any owner saying there trying to run a business! I get it!! But a business that's dishonest and unprofessional isn't the way! And this company showed it many times in many ways! From how they treat there employees to there customers! I've helped many customers that complained about ian and him telling them one thing and screwing them over the next from prices to him giving them the run arounds on installments. He tells the same old stories about how many years he been doing this for and so on and so forth. It's like his only go to story of what supposedly makes him a mr. know it all for water purifications. But business wise is his weak point and big one at that! Reasons why he still after years of being open still haven't hit a high mark in sales well where it should be by now from being open some years now! He does things the cheap way but expects to get more out of it. Talking of his store operations and how he can't run it right! His partner/office manager keeps things from him and lies to him about sales money and where its actually being deposited which is her personal account not an account that's under his business!!! They always have problems with employees quitting cause they would complain also how unprofessional they both were and didn't always get paid on time and checks not being about to get cashed cause there was no money in there account to pay there employees. Even bringing it to Ian's attention he dismissed it just on what his office manager would lie to him about and make him think other wise of why there employees couldn't get paid and the fact they suspected her taking money! He still chooses to believe the lies.. even with proof in front his face he has no brain for himself to think or he's just that stupid! He has no respect for his employees and likes to mistreat and down talk them. speaking on be half of all the employees that has the same story I have to tell! If he's okay with his employees not getting paid when there pay periods hit but is okay with giving his office manager money from sales we made each day for him what does that tell you?!? Customers!!! Think If this business treats there workers like that imagine how much he is ripping you off on prices and installments!! And other things!!! Don't let the cheap prices for water fool you! It may be cheap but quality may suck!!!!!! You may not even be drinking water that is promised coming out of his fill stations make sure you make him test it for you before filling your bottles!!!! Ian at Mt Slope water CO was referred to me by a friend so I was happy to skip the research involved in getting a quality water system. Ian really sounds like he knows his stuff as he has lots of years of experience. Ian says all the other stuff except for his is inferior as he "customizes" each system. Yeah, if your water has fewer TDS (solids) he gives you a weaker filter! My initial call was returned after 3 messages over two days and he said he would try to install the following Monday if possible, and he would let me know. So Monday comes and he does not call, so at about 1PM on Monday I call and leave a message. He calls back and says he can't do it Monday and he meant to call but he did not have the number. I thought... well you called me back last week after I left my number twice...but no big deal. So he had explained the options: rent a system for $30/month and have it maintained every 4 months. "the gold standard" which includes replacing filters and cleaning to clear out any bacteria. This is Ian's obvious choice for his customers, as he pushed it quite a bit. And by the way, all the other stuff out there at Costco, etc. is junk according to Ian....even the systems that cost several thousand dollars. Well all-righty then...lets get one. I asked about just purchasing the basic model as we are only two in the household. Well, the price was quoted at $555!! with free installation and life-time warranty. He also said there was free 6 month or longer financing options. This seemed quite expensive but lifetime sounded good. Oh, but you need to have Ian service it once per year to maintain the warranty and that is $216 at current prices. Ian also said I could get a 30 day free trial since I had been referred by a mutual friend. Then he says he checked with the office and they are no longer offering the 30 day trial. I thought, you are the owner with 25yrs experience and you checked with the office??!! Ok, now I am wondering what kind of dude this really is. He talks a good game, but now I am really getting a slimy feeling about him. But honestly, the trial period did not matter that much to me as I was not going to rent anyway, so I said go ahead, but I asked if I could get a cash discount instead of using the "free" financing option. He said sure....he would not charge me the usual $85 install fee. Ok, so we agreed that he would take that off the earlier quoted price of $555. The tech installed it and then gave me the bill for $555. I said I had the cash discount coming. Well after getting Ian on the phone, he said the $85 gets added to the $555 for a regular installation price of $640!, not the quoted $555. ....and so now he was going to waive the regular $85 fee. I said no way and referred to his reneging on the free trial and that enough was enough. His immediate response was to say he had been doing this for 25 years and he is always clear about his terms and he was not going to do business with me and had the tech pull the installation! Apparently, problem solving, negotiation, and customer service are not his strong points. And also apparently, like the pope, he is infallible when communicating doctrine, water doctrine in his case. He certainly comes off like he thinks he is God's gift to the water filtering world, that is for sure. The tech seemed to have seen this type of situation many times before. He also said they change filters annually, not every 4 months, as Ian led me to believe. And the bacteria cleaning that Ian says is vitally important amounts to 10 drops of bleach in each canister. But Ian says it takes over a year to train his technicians....after all this is rocket-science like work with changing the filters and all! Anyway you look at it, Ian gets the price of a new system out of you each year and hence the lifetime warranty. This is a business that is ripe for some decent competition. My choice was to get the RO system at Lowe's that is rated as the consumer reports "best buy" for $150 and have a professional plumber install it and save the other $400+. I figure I can change the filters and add some bleach myself....but....if you are into a totally overpriced filter provided by an extremely arrogant business owner with a healthy dose of sales-y slime thrown in, then Ian is definitely your man. read more

These guys are the BEST when it comes to WATER FILTRATION THAT IS PREMIUM.... I say this because they are the ONLY COMPANY that has a full public CLEAN WATER STATION STORE IN THE ISLANDS WITH DIFFERENT WATER CHOICES. When you go to a grocery store a water station is set up outside and inside, but you ONLY get ONE choice of what type of filtered water you can buy. When my husband & I went the WAIPAHU LOCATION right behind TIMES SUPERMARKET, I was shocked at how clean & knowledgeable the staff was & we had the pleasure of meeting the owner. He's a down to earth local guy who use to work for the Water Supply company on the islands, sorry I forgot which one and he took the time to break out his water testing equipment to show us how much germs was in the city water to his 3 water setup's. We tried all 3 and I LOVE THE ULTRA-PURE water & @ $.60 a gallon that's a steal... The Ultra-Pure water tastes just like FIJI water. To me water is essential & if I have to pay $.10 more for the BEST then I will. Because of this me, my husband & my 2 dogs drink more water than ever. I've NEVER gotten any headaches from switching to this water nor any health issues from it, but it's weird how my body craves for it. I wasn't really a water drinker but now I am thanks to them. Plus they now offer a in home sink setup, that can be moved with you, I just got it. This is really helpful since I'm a renter. Yeah! No more hauling 5 gallon containers anymore. THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE & GIVING US THE PUREST WATER OUT THERE!! =) **As far as the previous guys review below; we had a similar experience with Ian for the installation. BUT, Ian's setup of an in-home sink set up was better than we me & my husband could do. Plus we added on the option for the ULTRA PURE set up which involves 6 filters & not 3 or 4.. Yes our monthly is at $54.00 a month, but who cares we live in Salt Lake & driving to Waipahu with our big truck 2-3 times a month we are still saving gas. Yes we did a 30 day free trial but WE were told that after the 30 day free trial we will be charged with the installation & first & last month's payment, which comes out to $143.89 in total. I'll gladly pay this as we decided to lease. The lease includes all FUTURE SERVICE & FILTERS, filters are changed every 3 or 4 months. So WE opted for it, this is all ACCORDING to Ian who did our installation BUT it's STATED on their PAPER CONTRACT .. It states it in black and white... read more
